Park Schwinn Cyclery

This bike shop has been in the neighborhood for many years. They are always reliable and trustworthy, never trying to take advantage of customers. They sell accessories and parts if you would like to fix your own bike, plus skilled technicians who can fix just about any bike issue. I had a basket I bought on amazon and they installed it for free after my annual tune up. They're not really strict around the covid guidelines, but it's never crowded so just wait outside if you see somebody not masked up properly.

Owner is very friendly and helpful. The employee, unfortunately I didn't get his name, was very helpful in helping us pick the perfect bike us. Great local place to get repairs or make a new purchase.

Hands down the best bike shop in the area. Great service, great customer service and a good product line. The other 2 bike shops in the area (Beverly and Mt. Greenwood) can't hold a candle to John and his staff from any aspect. If your an experienced biker, first timer or anything in between and are anywhere near the Evergreen Park area, this is where you want to do your bike business.

Neighborhood bike shop: nothing flashy, dependable is the word here. They're still a Schwinn shop first and foremost, so if you have an old beater you need tires for, they'll carry 'em. They'll be in stock. Today. You can walk in and buy them. I know, sounds crazy, right?! It is with some shops...

You can get all your bits n bobs here as well - helmets, lights, locks, etc. etc. They got it. Simple repair they can handle overnight, you'll be on the road the next day.

Only downside is parts can be a bit pricey... paid $62 w/ tax for three Kenda tires, nothing fancy, easily more than double what you'd see online. But factor shipping and waiting, and the good feeling that I got the tires I needed at the time I needed them, which was now. I'd have said 3.5 stars based on price, but I'll round up for convenience. AND I supported a business that has been around for decades... that's worth way more to me than the web.

What is there not to love about a locally owned and operated business that takes care of BUSINESS????!!! I love love LOVE Park Schwinn Cyclery! I needed to have an old bike repaired and these guys were happy to help. From previous experience with "Cool Kids" cycleries , I was very hesitant to try another, but this place is just plain on 'ol good. Many bike shops dont waste their time repairing bikes for anyone other than Lance Armstrong, but these guys will fix anything!
I needed my bike fixed ASAP and John and his pit crew hooked me up in record time. Come to Park Schwinn, get your bike fixed, support local GOOd business.

My first bike came from this shop, and they do a great job of keeping my current bike in tip top shape.

A classic, old-school bike shop that does a terrific job on all facets of the cycling business.

Picking out a bike is a daunting task, but they knew what questions to ask and I ended up with the "perfect" bike. Of course, after the purchase and a lot of miles, they've done a great job of maintaining my GT with care, knowledge and speed.

I've recommended Park Schwinn to my friends and patients with no reservations.

JUST AN UPDATE. I bought my second bike from Park Schwinn a couple years ago and just wanted to reiterate how honest and knowledgeable John is. He now maintains both of my bikes to perfection and I still love going in to hear the vintage wood floors creak under my feet!

There's nothing better than riding a perfectly tuned bicycle.

Routinely knowledgeable about all things Schwinn, including a vintage electric scooter, a classic girls bike, a tandem from the 1950s. Rarely have I seen John say something could not be fixed, of course, he draws the line on cheap department store bike that are better tossed. Also, took my wife's bike in and he made it safer and road ready with new tires, brakes and other safety fine tuning. I've even seen him test riding bikes around the block.

The standard bearer for a great bike shop. Local, passionate, knowledgeable and a keen focus on great customer service. A real gem of a place!

I found Matt Stevenson to be very knowledgeable. Have gotten a lot of great advice over the past few years from these folks. I'll be taking my bike around the shop again soon.
