Stopped by here cause I was in town for work and I was not disappointed. Food was delicious and service was great. I ordered the spring rolls and pho. The broth was tasty, I didn't have to add anything but I like spice. So I added the chill garlic oil and that was very flavorful as well.
I'll definitely go back for more pho and try the bahn mi, which I should have ordered some to go.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Birthanie T.Milwaukee, WI1362369May 13, 2021
If you are looking for good Pho, go somewhere else. Pho Broth was watered down, had to had a lot of salt and fish sauce to even get any flavor. Portion size is very small too for $10.95. They also ran out of tendon so I didn't even get tendon in my Pho was still charged for the full amount. Meat portion was ok, but could be better. As for meatball, I only had like 1 full meatball. As for service, service was not the best, after serving us, server didn't come back to check on us until when we were done eating. As for cleanliness, floors were very sticky and doesn't look very sanitize or clean.
Overall, I will probably not return to this restaurant.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - .James A.Waukesha, WI21214Feb 28, 2022
My friend and I arrived on a Saturday night. One family was there in the center table all the other tables except one were covered in dirty dishes.
Not a good sign. My friend and I ordered this grilled pork over vermicelli and and two orders of fresh spring rolls.
We waited close to an hour. The spring rolls were wrapped in cellophane, supposedly it contained shrimp I didn't see any, there were no mint or basil leaves just vermicelli, they tasted as if they were made the day before. No peanut sauce. The grilled pork were maybe 4 slices with burnt ends some soggy lukewarm noodles. This cost over 18 bucks. Just a big disappointment. I had been there a few years prior and it was really good so I recommended it to an out of state friend visiting.
We can both honestly say it was one of the worst meals I've ever had and at close to 20 bucks a head. Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Moua Y.Milwaukee, WI54109219Feb 19, 2022Updated review
3 years later and pho isn't the same. The menu has changed, maybe Covid effect this restaurant. We used to drive from Milwaukee to come eat here but there are better options now that are closer by. I'm not sure exactly what happen but I hope gets things figured out, pho portion is less and also more salty than I remember. My last visit there just confirmed the food isn't the same anymore. For that reason I have to lower my stars.

Pho king pho.
Do not be fooled by the size of the bowl, it is a lot of pho for your buck. Not only that but it is very tasty. Pho broth 10/10! Do not need any seasoning, maybe just pepper for spice. They've got their broth on point! One of the best I've had. Noodle 10/10. Generous amount and texture is perfect not too hard of soft. There is also plenty of meats in the pho. I usually share the bowl with my wife and Pao it with a banh mi sand which grilled pork!
So my favorites: pho king pho, banh mi grilled pro, bun bo hue.
Been here plenty of times with my wife and family. It's my place to go for a pho fix! You will not be disappointed. Enjoy! - 9161287Feb 16, 2022
I've had pho in a handful of places in Wisconsin thus far and this is the most likable. The broth is more flavorful and the ingredients were aromatic. I do not have much negative feedback but if I had to mention one thing I'd say the salt level in the pho could be reduced a bit. Definitely a repeat establishment.

I'd heard some really good things about Pho King Awesome before my first visit. Reputation....4.5 stars!
Let's start with the restaurant name....5 stars!
The property is pretty beat up and looking at the restaurant from the outside, I'd admit I had some reservations about going in. Even inside, it has a 1980's feel to the dining room. Could use some updates and renovations.
First impression / restaurant look....2 stars!
Upon entering, we were prompted to seat ourselves and an employee quickly brought us menus. Despite the appearance of table service, we were told to order at the counter, when ready.
At the counter, the cashier was very helpful. It was our first time at a Pho restaurant. We ordered our food and drinks and were told that everything would be brought to our table.
Almost immediately, the staff began bringing our food out. First, sprouts and lime wedges for the pho. Then, our appetizers, crab rangoon and egg rolls, both of which we all enjoyed. Then the main course, Pho...
I had the meatball pho, upgraded to a large. I warn you, the upgrade to large makes for alot of food!! I really, REALLY liked my noodles and broth. The meatballs, not so much. To me, they were undercooked and full of fat pockets. I chose to not eat the meatballs, and everything else was still VERY good and way more than I could eat.
Others in my group got the shrimp pho, the steak pho, and my kids got a plain noodle pho. Everyone enjoyed their food. Overall food....5 stars!
Early on, when the staff began bringing our food out, we asked about our drinks. Oddly, they weren't brought out until about 5 minutes after our entire meal was delivered.
Another quirk was that a bill was never delivered to our table, instead we had to reapproach the counter to pay. I think that this place could benefit by going to either full table service or full counter service, the mixture is odd and somewhat confusing. Overall service...4 stars!!
Aside from the oddities of this being our first visit and navigating the process, the food was great! I'd try one of the many other menu options, instead of the meatballs, but I still really enjoyed my food.
We will definitely be back again!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 19, 2018
It was a hot, humid day and the last thing someone would want to eat is soup. Not if you're Southeast Asian. Pho is always a great idea!
First off the place is an old Hardee's. I thought it would be dirty. It wasn't. It was clean and they were fine with us taking up two tables for the seven of us. There were two adults and 5 kids and we wanted to have the kids sit at your own table.
We ordered the fried rice with chicken and pho with noodles and broth for the kids. My sister and I both got both got pho. The regular size had plenty of noodles. Typically I get a large but not needed here. I left with a full stomach.
We ordered pork and shrimp spring rolls. Both were tasty. The pork was especially delicious.
The staff was attentive and friendly. They brought enough plates and bowls. Refilled our cups with water and made sure we had enough napkins.
It was an overall great experience. The bill came to $80 without tip.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Agnes S.Genoa City, WI224552Apr 15, 2022

So, I ordered some delivery via door dash. I ordered some Pho. The place is called Pho King Awesome which is such a great name and I couldn't have thought of a better one. I'm sure there are several around the country named the same thing bc it's so perfect. For those of you who don't know the word Pho is pronounced Fa. Like fa la la la la. FA. So basically the restaurant is called "fucking awesome" and well, that's awesome.
So far my experience is EXCEPTIONALLY amazing based on not only the presentation and taste of food but also the careful and meticulous way the preparers packaged this food. Most places don't give a care what the food looks like but if I were to pack a pho lunch this is exactly the way I would do it.
They made it so I could assemble my food as I wanted to eat it instead of going the easy route of throwing it all in the tub with the broth. They made it so I could eat and enjoy it the way it is meant to be enjoyed. This type of soup is "assembled" so you get an element of freshness with the sprouts, green onions and cilantro that you will not get if you just dump it all in. It will become mush instead of just being blanched or wilted. Makes a huge difference. I'm so impressed. It's so delicious I can't even stand it.
Very good experience and I absolutely love the people of Wisconsin who delivered the food from the clerks in the gas station I'm parked at to the two guys who delivered my food to the guys who answered the phone at all three locations of COUSINS sandwich shop. They're truly one of a kind and so very nice!
Incredible. Peep this stuff. It's so colorful, fresh and prepared with such conscientious care!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
