The server was very nice.
Came in she seated me.
Got here at 12 noon. Placed order at 1208.for spring rolls and meatball pho. Received soda and silverware at 1213, Received spring rolls at 1240 and Pho at 1253. Began lunch at 1255. Two young mothers with 3 kids were seated at the same time I was. At 1pm they received their meals. Of course little kids had already reached melt down mode.
The restaurant was not overly busy. So I don't understand the long wait for a pho location. Also the broth as flavorful but not hot. It was warm but not hot. For all the hype I had heard on this place I expected good pho and good service. There are much quicker and better pho in the Fredericksburg area. I don't need to drive back down here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 4081786Feb 13, 2024
Took my mom and dad for their first time having Pho. After reading the reviews, it looked like Pho Saigon was the place to go. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. There were a few other tables and a constant flow of take-out orders. The server (owner?) was super nice and chatted with us quite a bit which was great. The Pho lunch special came with fried or fresh rolls so we got a combo of both along with Chicken Pho and all of the accompaniments such as bean sprouts, basil, and jalapeños. We all really enjoyed the meal and found that it was a big portion for lunch. The only downside was the splattering on the walls. At first glance, it appears to be noodle spray but after some thought, we think it's cleaner (bleach) spots (or at least we hope so). A chair rail or lighter paint is really in order.

This place never disappoints and always has new items to test my palate. I saw a new item it was mini steamed buns which comes with four and dipping sauce. They were delicious and savory. I normally order rice vermicelli with crispy roll and fresh herbs or banh xeo which is served with lettuce and dipping sauce but I order beef pho. The soup broth was very flavorful and amazing. The service was awesome and the restaurant had great decor. It was comfortable and the staff always make you feel like family. They were all knowledgeable and takes the time to explain to those first timers.

After reading so many positive comments about Pho Saigon in a local foodie group on social media we decided to give it a try. We drove about 30 mins to get there and had high hopes.
The place is in a very odd, very small strip plaza in a residential area, with only food joints in the plaza. It's rather dingy looking, but some of the best food comes from places that look like that. Upon entering, it's nicely decorated inside and the owner was very friendly and wanted to engage guests in small talk.
Since they had the Vietnamese Beef Stew, I knew I wanted that. My wife go Chicken Pho and we split an order of spring rolls. The spring rolls were decent, just didn't have the zing or pop in flavor we are used to with spring rolls, but they were definitely freshly made. The chicken pho was really nicely done, though not the best she's had, she liked it a lot. The beef stew was just alright... honestly, my wife makes much better Vietnamese beef stew. This one was missing the lemon grass flavor, as well as many other vibrant flavors. If seemed almost like they put beef into a beef Pho with way over-stewed carrots. The carrots were so over-cooked, that they were mushy. And so much of the beef was loaded in complete fat and gristle. I've had much better before at other places, including at home.
Their Jasmine tea was really good and the service was decent. I could definitely see coming back, I'd just get other items next time.Helpful 5Thanks 1Love this 4Oh no 0 - Tom F.Raleigh, NC0261Jun 7, 2023
Being on the road, pho is a once a week meal for me. This place did not disappoint. I'll definitely be back. Good mix of customers and they were staying busy. The only disappointing thing is that they don't take American Express which is what my credit card is for work.

Very authentic & delicious food. The family owned & operated restaurant is a jewel. I love the rice paper rolls with the veggies and shrimp. The pho looks & smells amazing but I haven't had it yet.
