Good experience. Bring tools, all that you'll need to get your part. The prices are fair. Quite a wide variety, but check online to make sure the vehicle you're looking for is available. It's a safe working area, as junkyards/boneyards go. Be safe yourself, and know what you're doing and how to remove parts without damaging parts others might need.

Been here twice in about two years. I don't typically have much need for car parts. Both times paid their 2$ fee to go on the lot. Did not find either car type looking for. They don't have anyway of knowing why parts are on the lot, no refund if you don't find a part. Also if you go with a friend to look for a part you are each charged 2$. Much of their inventory is very well picked over. Most cars look o be 80s and 90s. Pull-A-Part off Mass Ave much better and were very helpful.

Apparently they actually close at 5:30 even though it says 6. Went to grab a part of a certain vehicle, knew where it was and exactly what it was. Would have taken me 10min but was turned away when I showed up at 5:30 by a rude employee. Pull A Part just got my business.

I love this place! It's full of ideas and possibilities! I've been here twice and each time I found just what I was looking for plus a little something extra.

I my self don't go hear. But the man or person I have work on my vehicles, comes here to get parts. I have had two different people go a few different times. And one I will say they find what they need. For the most part. And I'm talking these people are driving an hour to an hour and a half to go here. The lease I would expect would to hear how good the people are there. But NO. I always hear how rude the person at the counter was. Always ! I have never heard one good response. And it's not like we don't have junk yards here that you don't even have to pay to get in to. But I send them there for possible better parts and bigger variety. I know that you are in Indianapolis, and I have heard of at least a person who got parts taken off his truck while it was in the parking lot. But Not every one is A crook and steals. How about trying to talk to your customers and you might find that out. But I know it's pretty bad when every place you look up pic a part there are bad reviews. Not very good bussnies

Great concept, stupid implementation. Go to Pull-A-Part, at least they know what they have. I am surprised Pick-A-Part knows they even have cars and trucks in the yard. I've been purchasing parts from junk yards for over 30 years and until now, never been to one that didn't know what was in the yard. They charge you a non-refundable $2.00 fee to look around the yard and the moron's don't know what they have in the yard. Now this is supposed to be a modern clean junk yard. What a waste of time. It is one thing to not be able to tell if you have a part, it is another to not even know what vehicles you have. I've seen everything from off the top of their head to 3x5 cards, but at least other junk yards know what vehicles they have in the yard. Pull-A-Part knows what they have in the yard and you can search online. So you know if your vehicle is there before you pay the cover charge. Pick-A-Part is a ripoff from the get go. Pick-A-Part is also more expensive on parts. Check the price list between the two. I don't work for Pull-A-Part, just have had good experiences there. One of Pick-A-Part's excuses is that they rotate cars all the time. Well, so does everyone else in the junk yard business. That's why we have computers or even 3x5 cards or the old guy yelling out, hey that is in the back corner. How ignorant can a business be?
The new Pick-A-Part motto:
If you have two bucks and time to waste, come on down. I think we have cars and trucks in our yard. Looked like it when I drove in.
Or you could buy a lotto ticket or two and at least get a piece of paper. Might even win some money.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tom G.Peru, IN01Feb 6, 2013
Not customer friendly. They keep no record of inventory, so the only way to find out if they even have the vehicle you are looking for is to come in and search. And if they did have a part it was as expensive as getting new. Don't know how they stay open!
