Po Campo BBQ

Definitely have to check out this small hole-in-wall bbq place. It would definitely be overlooked, but the food is amazing!! Service is friendly and fast. Food is fresh and absolutely delicious! The ribs are fall-off-the-bone soft and flavor is amazing. We got the sampler with all the meats and everything was great. Loved the Mac and cheese side and the potato salad side. The roll was also delicious. Would definitely recommend and definitely returning!

Charming, locally owned and each bite is full of BBQ love. You can taste the care the owner and his staff pour into their product. Drove down from Dallas for a day trip, and had this eatery carved out to try. So glad we did. Brent the owner is a great guy, and the place is really memorable. We had the brisket, turkey and sausage. Being from Texas and having lived in Kansas City and Georgia, we know BBQ. This is as good as we've ever had.

Tender, juicy and cooked just right. Not too spicy either. Their sauce isn't thick and pasty, it's a perfect compliment to the flavors of the meat. It added a nice aftertaste kick. The area is beautiful with plenty of history. You can count on us being back again and again. Thanks!

Po Campo makes the most tender and delicious brisket I have ever had. The ribs have a lot of tender pork on them. The homemade BBQ sauce is wonderful -- tangy and sweet. The potato salad is outstanding. The buns for sandwiches are made in-house. Regular tea and sweet tea, as well as soft drinks are available.

Even if you're not in Hico, it is worth a detour. Heading west, Po Campo is past the major intersection in town...located on Second St. Indoor and outdoor dining is available, as is to-go. Parking is located behind the house.

We dropped in on Sunday afternoon craving pulled pork. Although they didn't cook pulled pork on Sunday they did have brisket, turkey, chicken ribs and sausage. They were out of a lot of choices because it was late in the day but what we had was really good!! Great service, too

Beautiful Brisket, family friendly and just a nice place for a delicious lunch. Brisket tacos were off the hook, Mexican street corn, again, delicious. Dine in and chat with the owners or sit outside and listen to the cicadas.

Went for a day trip to HICO and Stephenville. Stopped for BBQ and I'm so glad I read the reviews for this place. The smoked turkey was so tasty. The bark on it was better that I expected. The chopped brisket was so tender and moist. The ribs....oh man, the ribs were the best ribs I've ever tasted.
The the sides were amazing as well. The potato salad was good, but needed more seasoning. Coleslaw had such a great taste. My son had the Mac and cheese and he loved it, actually wanted more. Baked beans were fabulous. Not too sweet with the perfect seasoning. Overall - the best bbq I've probably ever eaten!

Owner Brent and his sister were very friendly. We eat a lot of bbq and we can honestly say this is the best. We will be back when we are in town.

Little wayside place. Worth the stop. Piled high delicious brisket and sides. Nice place to enjoy in the back or inside. Lonesome Dove was playing on the tv. True Texas experience

This place looks like it has been closed for quite some time. We stopped and looked. The place is completely dismantled. Google shows it open.

WOW OMG. Well now that I have that out of the way, the owner Brent is a rockstar. The food is amazing, sides and meat are all great. Not only was the food great but Brent was working solo and although busy he got the food out very fast. Mac n Cheese is bomb dot com. Beans are so flavorful. The brisket, literally falling apart, could cut it with a plastic fork. Sweet tea is also made by Brent, not too sweet so refreshing. WILL BE COMING BACK!
