This company called me out of nowhere back in March. because of the Covid situation I told them to call me back in a few months and I might be interested. I needed quotes on rewiring my whole home anyway ...they called me last week and set up an appointment fairly quickly for an estimate. Fri 1-2pm... I waited & no one showed up. When I called Tracy told me she accidentally double booked me and they didn't have my phone number to reschedule me, uhhh what? (How's that possible when they solicited me?!)
I was having a good day & decided to be nice, so I let them reschedule me for the following Tuesday between 3:00-4:00 p.m. Here it is 5:15 p.m. No word, no phone call and another no show!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mary S.Bothell, WA33211Jan 31, 2020
I just received a sales call from this company. I am on the Do Not Call Registry. I asked the caller if he worked for the company or a call service. He stated his father owned the company and they would like to give me a free estimate. I explained that was too bad as he had just broken federal law by calling me. His response was a spew of vulgar swear words and then he hung up. I looked the actual business # up and cAlled and reported the incident. The customer service rep was able to identify which employee it was that called me. Freely admitting that a sometimes they call people that are on the federal registry. Once I explained I would do a Yelp review she offered me a gift card. I declined explaining because they employ people that would speak that way to a possible future customer I would never use their business. You shouldn't either!

Posted a request on HOUZZ for help designing a deck permit to submit to the city. They reached out to me and told me they could do it. Great. Called me twice to confirm the appt the day before. Then called me in the morning to move the appt back an hour. No problem, I appreciated the communication.
Waited. Then waited more. No showed me. No calls, just a wasted afternoon. I got the feeling they were so big that we got lost in the shuffle. I got the feeling that they were more corporate asking me if I wanted to finance the permit. Was it going to be that expensive?
I will use a local company.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dollie S.Burbank, CA05Feb 10, 2020
Thank You Yani + Team!
My husband and I just finished our bathroom renovation + we love it every day! After researching several companies, by chance I found Progressive Builders. I called in and a very friendly Tracie immediately greeted me. She told me all about the complete services that Progressive Builders provides, their expertise in working with co-op + building's requirements, getting all the permits, design + sourcing materials + fixtures, electrical, through to installation + clean up. They handled it all!
Nick + Ellen were my designers and based on my discussions with them they gave us a beautiful, modern bathroom design my husband + I envisioned.
Yani was my Project Supervisor and he was GREAT! He was there with me every step of the way. He answered all my questions + I had many because this was our first renovation ever. I have already referred two couples to Progressive Builders looking to do complete reno's of their places.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jim M.Bothell, WA061Oct 8, 2019First to Review
I originally posted this review with the Los Angeles office of Progressive Builders. While they are affiliated, and the contract materials identified the LA office website, the business requested that I move my review to the Seattle office.
I've also added a 'star' (for a total of two), primarily because of the response I received from my review. While it may be too late to earn another shot at our business, they were very apologetic and promptly returned my deposit with some additional funds to defray the time and effort we incurred as a result of their issues.
Original Review:
Signed a contract, turns out they weren't interested in delivering. Almost a bait and switch.
I was "cold called" by Progressive Builders and decided to give them a shot.
The sales person showed at the appointed time and provided a contracted price less 10% if we signed up that day. He also claimed he would be the project manager, and that they could start in about 12 days. 2 days later, he arrived with a foreman to review and create a site plan. He then said they could start the 9th day from when we signed up, a Monday.
The only issues at this point was a missing form (3 day cancellation), but that's now moot.
Sunday evening (day before) I get a call from the regional manager for Seattle asking to talk about my project. It turns out the person I dealt with had quit the day prior. This manager wanted to review the project before beginning work, and would call me the next day at 4:00 PM. No one called until 5:30 PM, and they asked ME to call the manager at his number, who then returned my call claiming he could not get through to me.
He then shared that he really wanted the review because he felt the job was under bid and that he wanted to check it out; they obviously can't lose money on the job... and I know we said today but would Thursday or maybe Friday be ok?
I told him that the performance to date was not acceptable, and he obviously wasn't interested in our business with putting us off, and that I expected my deposit back as soon as possible.
I get it... stuff happens. But if any of what they said was true, I would have expected they state their contract concerns from the beginning, make an appointment to see the job immediately (not an appointment for a phone call they are too busy to make), and arrive prepared with a higher bid and a substantial discount for my troubles - and a promise to start 'tomorrow'.
I'm only somewhat relieved, because we really do need the work done and I felt that their price was reasonable... it may have been "under bid" from their perspective i.e. they weren't going to clear a 15% profit, but it wasn't going to be a loss. Now we have to start over.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Neila W.San Jose, CA06Feb 18, 2020
Working with Yani and Progressive Builders was nothing but great. We decided to build a home office and remodel our kitchen. From design to execution, they always delivered above expectations. I would definitely hire Progressive Builders again and recommend them to anybody looking to do some remodeling/upgrades.

Yaniv exceeded my expectations with completion of my kitchen remodeling project. He took the take the time to understand what I needed and recommend his ideas as well. Everyone who comes to my home applauds their work. I have another project in mind for him (for my bathroom) and I can only promise you that I will give this project as well too. Progressive Builders will put you at ease with things that seem overwhelming and you can relax knowing that you can expect a job well done. I highly recommend them for all kind of home remodeling projects.

Last week I received a "cold call" and decided to engage in a conversation because I was in the process of getting estimates for siding on our home. I asked if they did siding, the caller confirmed and he directed me to his website. Progressive Builders website boasts nothing about doing siding on a home. That raised my suspicion, so I reached out to Yelp and had my suspicion raised even more. We agreed upon a time of 10:00 AM on a Saturday for an estimate. I received a call two days later asking for a time change and we agreed upon 3:00 PM that same Saturday. 3:00 PM came and went - no one showed up and no one called. I can assure you if they call later and apologize, they will not get a second chance. If they cannot show and communicate when they are trying to gain new business, how bad would they be in the midst of a project. It only confirms my personal commitment of never engaging with cold calls - after all, I am on a national do not call list, so if a company ignores that - they are not even worth the time on the phone.
