R & G Almanza Landscape

We had them take out the grass on one side of our front yard, to prepare it for wildflower seed. They did a phenomenal job. Great work, quickly done, very neat and professional. They even cleaned up in the street where their vehicle had been. We are incredibly happy with the finished product. Definitely going to hire them again.

The LACK of PROFESSIONALISM continues. I've read reviews from 5 years ago and some as recent as 9 months ago. The negative feedback is the same. Raul came to check out my backyard recently. He seemed nice and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from him despite leaving him text and voicemail messages. Like the other customers, I never received a proposal.

Leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Makes you feel this company only caters to certain customers and jobs because some customers have given it 5-star reviews. I'm surprised that this company is still in business.

Called for a quote and met Raul who met me at the house for a sizable landscaping project. Seemed very knowledgeable. Said he would have a quote to me 2 days later. Never heard back, even after emailing and leaving voicemails. We're a couple weeks out and I'm disappointed that I wasted the time.

We have used R&G Almanza for 2 years now. Their work is fairly good (thus the two stars), but the communication is terrible. After the first summer, I planned to look for a new company, but spring rolled around and I decided to stick with them for another year.

This year, the communication was worse. I tried to contact Raul in September to ask a few small questions about our bill. I called once, sent an email and waited a week. No response. I emailed again, waited a week, no response. Then I tried calling once a day and after 6 days received a call back with the answer to one question.

This wasn't the first time it had happened, but it was the most irritating. I was unable to get him on the phone after that. We will be using someone else next year.

Landscaping and Fence

We recently had 3 different companies come out to give us a quote for a 70 foot stretch of wood fence to replace an old chain link fence. We also needed to have some landscaping done to remove roots and bushes that had grown through and around the chain link fence. Raul, from R&G Almanza Landscaping in Skokie, came out to give us a quote for just the landscaping, but he asked who was doing the fence and he let us know that his company also did fences. He sent us some photos of his work and we were glad to find a company that would do the landscaping, old fence removal and new fence building and we were SO happy with this company.

Within 48 hours of having our permit for the fence, Raul and his team of 5 arrived at 7:45 in the morning (as promised) and by 4pm, everything was done. They were fast, efficient and their fence work was solid, straight and very impressive. We could not have been happier and highly recommend them if you need yard work or a fence built and their price was very competitive. The day after the fence was installed we noticed one piece of wood that had a rather large imperfection along with two screws that were not quite fully screwed down. We texted Raul about these small issues and his team came out the very same day and took care of them.

We will definitely use Raul and his team again in the future if we need any work done!

Took the afternoon off a few weeks ago to meet with an R&G rep for a quote on landscaping. They never sent a quote so I've called a few times to see what's up. Always get voice mail and never receive a response. A total waste of my time.

This is what they did to my car today during their fall cleanup. They were unapologetic. Nearly every time they come to my apartment complex, they blow grass, sticks, leaves, and gravel toward the cars, not away. But because I'm part of an association, I have to put up with their shoddy work.

Great company and experience. We are very happy with our new landscaping. Raul is professional, courteous and genuine. His crew did an excellent work, everything looks beautiful. We are very satisfied with the service. They do a great job for a great price. Highly recommend!
