In my experience, it was a little loud. Then again that night was packed. We went in a Thursday night around 8pm. They do have several seating options so you could let them know you prefer the most quietest area. They sat us across the bar. Hope… more

We went here for my partners birthday dinner.
We started with Lobster Mac was amazing. I had no complaints !! So good
Fried Calamari was 4/5.
Lemon drop was amazing
Surf & Turf !! Wow. It was a 5/5 the lobster was nice not hard overly cooked. Steak was cooked to my exact cooking temperature I loved it.
Great ambiance. I truly had a wonderful experience here. I will be returning but I will try Ray's by the lake next timeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Crystal H.GA, GA14012Mar 25, 2024
Came in for a birthday dinner with family and friends. I had the salmon, shrimp and scallops. The scallops could have been cooked a little more. Everything needed a tad more seasoning. A friend let me try the seafood macaroni. i would have liked to say yes on it but something was missing.
Valet gave myself and my cousin different prices. The parking garage I knew of was around the corner and walking as a female just doesn't seem safe inside the garage.
Our service was great and the atmosphere was very nice instead. Have ya reasons to dress up.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Hope M.Brandon, MS732916Mar 22, 2024
The great - appetizers were outstanding (we got goat cheese fritters and calamari/shrimp). Nothing to complain about there. Service was great - waiter was very attentive. Also, the peach margarita, which I have had before at Rays on the River was fabulous as well.
The okay - it's quite loud in this restaurant - not sure how you resolve that, if at all.
The not great - the steaks. For $60 for a ribeye (it was cooked medium and they did cook it correctly), I was woefully disappointed. Ribeye is a pretty fatty cut of meat but mine certainly was not and the meat was almost tough, something that shouldn't have been unless it was overcooked. Odd thing was that it wasn't actually overcooked so I'm stumped. My husband ordered the filet and was also unimpressed with the meat. We've had better steaks at chain steak places that cost half as much. I was so disappointed that i gave my leftovers to the homeless man camped outside the restaurant asking for $$ (we gave him $20 and the leftovers). We have eaten at Rays on the River (assuming they are owned by the same people?). We enjoyed Rays on the River so much, we held a private event (spending $11K+ on a private dinner for our family, friends and associates to celebrate my military retirement). I'm not sure why the significant disconnect between the locations.
Dinner cost us $400 for 3 people with tip. We were not impressed enough to ever come back to this location, unfortunately.
Full disclosure: We did not complain to the waiter - not his fault the steaks were not wonderful. They were cooked to the appropriate temp/request - but there is something off with the beef tonight.. The sides we ordered (mushrooms and whipped potatoes were both fine) and our guest did enjoy her salmon (her main dish)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 19, 2024
I must admit I typically don't like the pricier restaurants because it often doesn't feel worth the price - this place proved me 110% wrong. It's such a beautiful establishment I felt a little shy about snapping pics of the food ahaha
We got a bread basket that had 4 different types of bread. They were all pretty good and it seemed like there's a type of bread to go with any meal. We also got a red and white wine. Both were really good!
We got charcoaled oysters that were so good we had to order a second round lol we got shrimp scampi and the shrimp and grits for the main meals. The portion sizes are big! You are guaranteed to take some home. We also got a side of creamed spinach which taste like it melts in your mouth.
The staff is so kind and accommodating. I definitely recommend coming here in really nice clothes. This place is definitely worth being the background of a pic.
My only complaint is we sat at a table that was close enough to the door that you feel the cold air when it's open.Helpful 12Thanks 1Love this 9Oh no 0 - Apr 2, 20241 check-in
Came here for a mid afternoon bite to eat before a late dinner. I had heard that the She Crab soup was amazing so we all ordered it along with a bread basket. The food and service in the bar was incredible. The soup did not disappoint it was incredible in texture and flavor and paired nicely with the beautiful bread basket that included a variety of bread styles. For an upscale restaurant the prices were totally reasonable and I would highly recommend this place, at least the bar for an lovely evening out in Atlanta.

Visiting town for work and wanted to go to lunch somewhere close by to where I was staying and this place came up on my search and decided to check it out.
For a drink, I ordered a dirty martini and it delivered--got me excited about the rest of my meal which was raw oysters and a the seafood broiled platter.
In addition to the food coming out in a timely manner, the service was pretty good. Whether the server or the host or the busboy or the runner, folks were friendly and engaging--asking us how we were and if we lived there or were visiting.
Towards the end of the night there was less check ins but understandable as it was past closing time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stacie G.Windsor Mill, Baltimore, MD151101603Apr 27, 2024
Really enjoyed dinner here. Went to celebrate my birthday and we were seated not too far past our reservation time. Food service was a little slow but the food was amazing! Assuming service was a little slow because all food is cooked to order, so I'm ok with that. I would definitely return.

Terrific happy hour. Affordable drinks and bar bites including $10 burger and $10 chicken sandwich, both come with fries. The cocktails are good and the quantity is beefy. One of the larger martinis we have seen. The blue cheese stuffed olives are from the jar, so that part was disappointing for a high-end establishment that prides itself on craft cocktails. The grilled chicken sandwich was exceptional. We had items on our bill that we didn't order, which was addressed, but still left us sore. Despite the check mishap this place is deserving of four stars.
To Management, stuff the olives and get the billing fixed and you are a contender for high honors - a.k.a. the coveted five stars.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - 144220928Dec 21, 2023
Lunch at Rays in the City, situated in downtown Atlanta, was a delightful experience. The festive ambiance instantly set the holiday mood, and being seated promptly without reservations was a definite bonus, eliminating any wait time.
The menu offered a variety of options accommodating different dietary restrictions. Opting for the daily special - fajitas - I enjoyed a well-paired dish with tortillas and rice. The food was plenty, especially for lunch!
To top it off, I had cup of coffee and their warm butter cake that was also delicious. Overall, great afternoon in the city, with great service during the holiday season.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 2, 20241 check-in
We had a reservation for 6 for 6:15 pm on a Thursday and were seated immediately. Brussels were solid, tuna poke was a bland dish, wedge solid was okay. The star of the table was the sweet potato, marshmallow soufflé. It was well balanced; not too sweet and included toasted pecans. Overall, an okay meal. We didn't do main dishes because it was just a quick bite before our meeting.
