Reid's never disappoints! Talk about super, fantastic bbq - this is it! Comfortable, cozy and cool - you really shouldn't miss this place if you're serious about bbq.
I have eaten all over the country and the world - I can't say I've ever had better bbq anywhere.
You for sure won't hardly match the friendly service and quick pace these fine folks serve up hot, fresh food!
Do yourself a favor and drive to Logan County for some bbq. Make a day of it and hang out on Mt. Magazine (highest point in Arkansas) and Blue Lake or Cove Lake.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you, Erick!! We truly appreciate your feedback. We hope you have an amazing new year!
Dec 22, 2023Previous reviewThis is the best barbecue in Arkansas. There are some other places in more populous areas of Arkansas that claim to be the best - and many of them are good and we've eaten at these other "best Arkansas BBQ spots" too. But this place is the best - you can trust me (I'm a big guy who loves to eat good food)!
The locale is on "Main Street" and the feel is family all the way. The wait staff are consistently great with their service and the food is always fresh and hot.
Saturday - they have burnt ends (while they last). Their burnt ends are the best ones I've ever had!
If you're within striking distance - take the drive to Reid's - they're worth it (only open Thursday-Sat for dinner). - John R.Spiro, OK16496214Apr 8, 2024Updated review
Ate here on Eclipse Day and the place was packed.
Great service. I would give the bbq a 4 and the fried pies a 5. Great service. Ribs were good, pulled pork sandwich was good. We got okra and cajun okra and believed that regular okra was best. The cajun was somewhat sweet. The green beans were very odd and sweet. Macaroni and cheese was very good. BBQ Beans were good. Ribs had a unique flavor but were good. Super busy but service was unbelievably fast.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thanks for taking the time to review. Our apologies for such an experience. We rarely hear this from our customers and will chalk it up to constructive criticism. We always learn from our mistakes and are continually trying to improve. We do offer fries that are not seasoned and typically everything is served fresh and hot. Had you brought it to our attention at the time we could and would have made sure that you left happy. We don't claim to be the best but we do try and do our best everyday. On this day we missed our mark. Hope you'll give us another chance someday.
We are a small family owned and operated "hometown" business. We try and reflect that in our decor. We realize that it's probably not for everyone but it's who we are.
Thank you again for your time.
-The Reid FamilyApr 24, 2021Previous reviewI think this place would have been really good had any of the food been hot. Other than the fried pie it was all served warm not anywhere close to being hot.
I do not like seasoned fries and that is what they serve. The Karly fries are served drizzled in bbq sauce and their take on ranch. I would not order this again. Very funky marriage of flavors. Would be better with fresh real fries.
The brisket would have been good had it be hot. The burnt end were about the same as their brisket. I usually like burnt ends to be a little crispy. These were not. They were good but not anywhere close to great burnt ends. Baked beans have a tremendous amount of black pepper in them.
They asked if it was my first time and gave me a free fried pie. It was obviously the only thing cooked to order(no way were the fries). It was the only thing that really was excellent. Served piping hot.
I drove an hour because I had heard this was a good place. I might stop If I were passing through but is not worth a special trip.
2 meat plate is $15. Not a great value for 8oz of halfway warm meat.
The interior has probably 100 pics of their family on the wall. Found the interior pretty odd too. - Suzanne W.AR, AR12119Apr 28, 2024
The BEST BBQ in Arkansas - maybe anywhere. Brisket, turkey, burnt ends, sausage - all outstanding. The sides are excellent too (Cajun okra, potatoes, potato salad, beans). Dessert is wonderful (cheesecake, friend pies). Very friendly staff (they "know us" here). Comfortable restaurant, very clean ; recently remodeled. Worth the drive! They are also generous/caring to the community - I've noticed they have offered to serve those in need during Thanksgiving. A great family owned restaurant.

Amazing delicious barbecue served in a quaint small town historic building. Lightning-fast Arkansas friendly service. Very limited hours. The food is wonderfully fresh.
My wife had the Cassie's Salad. A large plate packed with romaine, smoked chicken, cheese, bacon bits and covered with your choice of BBQ sauce or ranch dressing or both. A tasty fresh salad!
I had the two-meat with a side of creamy slaw and Cajun Fried Okra. Basically, fried okra dusted with a Cajun spice blend. A unique twist on an old favorite. For the meat I had tender juicy sliced brisket and the house made sausage. A delicious meat and cheddar sausage packed in a casing and then smoked to perfection. Three versions of BBQ sauces are on the table. The hot was good, but the medium bootleg was my favorite.
Texas BBQ ain't got nothin' on these Hillbillies. Wonderful food great service Eat Here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

I think cheesecake is one of the best things this place has. Ribs were good. Burnt ends were very fatty. I would go back even though it's a long drive and out of the way. Fast service.

Oh my Lord.... So we are barbecue snobs. We've always heard great things about this place, but just never made the time to drive over here from Fort Smith. This will now be in our monthly rotation of date day places to eat. The turkey was one of the best smoked turkeys I've ever had... their burnt ends, none better in this area. Get the hot baked potato salad... it's sour cream based and amazing. All of their sauces were so good. Cannot recommend this place enough. We told them it was our first time and they hooked us up with every kind of meat they had on the sampler plate. I'm going to be dreaming about it for a while!

The food here was amazing!! We got the Steve's Sampler and had more than enough to feed 2 people, the ribs and bacon mac and cheese were my favorite but everything on the plate was great! The brisket was probably my least favorite out of everything, I thought it was a bit dry, but brisket has never been my favorite so it takes a lot to impress me. The service was super quick and our waitress was very attentive. Overall I'd probably give it a 4.5 if I could. Totally recommend visiting!

Great people, great food. Hometown barbecue with a family feel. If you're ever in try the Steve sampler. more options to try everything. I get the loaded baked potato salad, but warmed up and save room for a dessert.

Worker for the day in Booneville, and this was the top-rated place on Yelp. Did not disappoint! I had the 2 meat combo: pulled pork and smoked sausage. The smoked sausage caught me off guard. It seemed more like a bbq pork meatloaf, but I loved it! I had a double side of the baked potato salad (warm). Very good.
I was able to get right in even though it was very busy. Friendly service. Felt like eating at a friend's house.
Was given a free fried pie with ice cream since it was my first visit. Strawberry with ice cream. It was so good! I ordered a few to go to take to the fam.
This is a well-oiled machine. Well worth the hour drive. I'll be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
