Renee DeKroub-RE/MAX Platinum

I worked with Renee during the sale of my house, entrusted her with the closing as I could not be present. She was issued a check from the buyers due to me for the closing. But once she got her very large commission check, she placed my check in a desk at her office, never gave it to me and after I got upset Informed me that the check had expired in her desk by mistake. I asked her if she could get a new check from the buyers agent or buyers since it was her mistake to not issue it to me per her fudicary responsibility,she refused and refused to give me the funds she misplaced or even attempt to get a new check from the buyers. I am now in the process of filing a complaint regarding the issue because Renee has been fully paid and does not care if her clients get the money issued to her during closing. For this reason alone, I would not recommend her from my experience, which is the worse of any agent conduct I've ever experienced. She's out for herself only and now I have to go through formal charges and take time away from my children. The amount is a very small amount compared to the money she was paid by me. I would not recommend any agent capable of taking money due to a seller and never caring to resolve the matter.

Get in the contract. We made the mistake of taking Renee's word that she would personally ensure the seller would be out by the agreed date, rather than writing in a much larger fee per day in the purchase agreement. Best intentions or purposeful deception? Hard to say, but if a person's word is worth something......
