Ordered delivery from Rice & Noodle Thai Gourmet for the first time today and was very glad I did so. The spring rolls arrived still very crispy and the dipping sauce was perfectly spicy. For my main dish, I went very traditional - ordering the Pad Thai. While I usually like to be more adventurous with my menu selections Pad Thai is one of those dishes that is so iconic and basic that if a Thai restaurant messes it up, it speaks volumes. Gladly, the Pad Thai from this place was excellent- not to mention a huge portion. I ordered extra protein (chicken) and they packed it in- tender and tasty. Can't wait to try more of the menu items!

I really wanted to like this place. I saw the Zagat ratings from more than 10 years ago. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The food was not remarkable except that it lacked flavor despite their claims of authentic quality. I've had better Thai food in cafes that don't claim to be "gourmet".
Moreover, I paid $28.51for 2 very difficult to chew Asian Rolls and Shrimp Cashew Nuts (see attached pic)
To their credit, everyone I encountered was warm and welcoming. The ambiance was that of a typical "greasy spoon" establishment.
I sincerely caution spending money there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jan 29, 2024
We wanted to try their Laos dishes and I'm glad we did because they were delicious! Previously I wasn't impressed with their Thai dishes but I absolutely love the Laos dishes. Sakoo Sai Moo was my favorite. It's like a flavor bomb that explodes in your mouth when you chew through the tapioca texture. Ban Guan Lao Style (crepe) was on the blend side and I wish it came with sauce. E-San sausage was my partner's favorite - it's fried rice with Laos sausage with nice spice in it. I wish there's more Laos dish options!
The ambiance is low key and family style. The people who work there are warm and kind.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 493227403Jun 9, 2023
Such an amazing Thai restaurant if not my favorite!
I'll keep this short and sweet and let you know they have the BEST CURRY PUFFS EVER. When I used to work close by, coworkers and I loved to come here to not only enjoy the food, but mainly get our hands on these puffs. I know they're made in-house, and they're different than the other curry puffs I've had at other restaurants. Lots of filling and great crust, and something about the texture I love once you bite into one.
Staff has always been super friendly and attentive and provide the best service.
Only con is that parking in their lot can be a hassle at a busy time...but you can definitely find free parking nearby.
Highly recommend and please try their curry puffs, it's worth the hype!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - 789319May 25, 2023
First time here and it was great!
Pad Thai was a little different but still good, the noodles were thin and I think it could've been overall more flavorful. For the price, I won't complain!
I would definitely be a regular if I lived close by. They were very generous and I enjoyed my dine in experience here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarah S.San Francisco, CA0154Dec 31, 2023
Portion was good but all I saw and initially tasted before dumping it was slimy noodles and pieces of chicken nothing else...no peppers no onion nothing just noodles sauce and chicken disappointing especially since it's New Year's Eve

Small place in a great location on Franconia Rd. Nice, diner style restaurant with fast service. They have Thai tea, which you can take to go. And they have iced tea. The rice Thai rolls were super, nice & fresh & spices. The Penang curry with basil, green beans, peanut and coconut milk was good. It was spicer than other's I have tasted with delicious basil leaves.

This place was awesome! We ordered online and picked up in store. We had the pad Thai, drunken noodles, and Kanom jeeb.
We just moved to the area and were looking for some quick food during our move. We were NOT disappointed.
FYI - their heat/spice level rating scale is not americanized like most Thai places we've been to in the DMV. My boyfriend and I both love spicy food and the level 5 was a little much for us.
The drunken noodles were great, but the pad Thai was better. I ordered it with minced chicken which is now the only way to order it in my opinion. Everything mixed so well!
The dumplings were really good, too - we will definitely be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ian S.Columbia, TN01Nov 5, 2023
Food was fantastic, I got the spicy seafood soup and marinated beef shanks/rice. Loved the quiet atmosphere and friendly service. Will definitely be back again
