Since we opened our first location in Grand Prairie in 2001, we've been committed to serving fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine in a fun, lively atmosphere. Our mission remains the same here in Addison, where we're still serving all your favorites from south of the border, including our signature fajitas and freshly made tacos. We also have plenty of traditional American dishes infused with a Mexican twist, from hearty burgers to spicy wings. And with DJs and live music keeping the party going late, we'll make sure you have a memorable experience every visit. Whether you join us for a laid-back lunch or a late-night fiesta, we'll show you a good time and serve you something delicious.

I really enjoy the food there. Its really good food. I would give it 5 stars but once I had a horchata that tasted small bit of Soap.

They definitely need a class on customer service... when you got out for dinner you expect your needs to be taking care of.. why else would you go out for dinner..been here twice and I guess I thought the first bad experience was a fluke.. nope I was right.. well time to find someone that actually wants my money...

Ed, thank you for reaching out. It's disappointing if service has been anything but impressive, so I'd love to hear more feedback from you. I truly hope we'll get another chance at impressing you.

This is one of our favorite places to go. The salsa's are really good - especially the warm salsa. Their fajitas are the best I have ever eaten. I normally eat chicken but here - they even know how to cook the beef. Nothing is over done. The shrimp is awesome as well, again not over cooked. My SIL said their shrimp tostada or taco was as good as anything you get on the streets of Mexico - very good.

Sally, I'm glad you and your husband have enjoyed eating with us, though we're sorry you haven't always been happy with our happy hour margaritas. If you're ever unhappy with anything, please let us know, and we'll be happy to make your meal better however we can. Thanks for your detailed feedback, and I hope to see you and your husband again soon.

Jose, General ManagerFeb 4, 2018Previous reviewWe have been here 2 Friday's in a row. The food is great & they certainly have a good menu selection. I ordered crazy nachos the first time & it was a bit light on the beef but very tasty. The 2nd time I ordered chicken fajitas & they were probably the best I have ever eaten. My husband ordered one of the Molcajete bowls. The bowl was so hot his food continues to cook. The food was great, but next time he will order it on a skillet. The 2nd night he ordered the fajita combo & it was very good as well.
The service was excellent & the manager checked on us both nights. I made a Restaurant.com error & it was definitely my fault, but the manager took care of us anyway. We will definitely be back & can't wait for prettier weather to sit on the porch.
Con's -- a bit inconsistent with their salsa & their Happy Hour margaritas.
The 1st Friday the salsa was more a verde & not very spicy in fact one of our friends does not eat spice at all & she ate some. The next Friday the salsa was more reddish & definitely more spicy. I do realize the spice may depend on the heat of the peppers, but the base should be the same.
The Happy Hour margaritas are a great price, but I am going back to beer. The 1st Friday I tolerated them well enough to have a 2nd but the 2nd Friday they were so bad even my husband didn't finish his & he is NOT particular about his margaritas. Next time he will probably order something other than the Happy Hour margarita.
They have Salsa lessons & dancing in the evening too - so definitely check them out. - Bennett O.Houston, TX01Oct 29, 2017
If I could leave 0 stars I would. The waitress told us the wrong price for the drink. Then after we ordered the drink and started drinking it she came back and said she had told us the happy hour price and would have to charge us full price (which was double what she told us). All throughout this exchange she didn't come across as apologetic. But anyways, staff was rude and the margarita was atrocious. This place gets a hell no from me.

This was really disappointing to read, Bennett. It sounds like there was some miscommunication in this moment, and for that, I sincerely apologize. You certainly shouldn't have been charged full price for the drinks if you were originally told that you'd get the happy hour price. I'll speak with my staff to make sure that this doesn't happen again. I know we can do better, so I hope you'll give us another chance to really show you our dedication to excellent service and delicious food.

service was horrible. The staff was completely unfamiliar with their menu and drinks were terrible.

Etinosa, I'm so sorry to hear that -- we sincerely care about our customers and would never want anyone to walk away unhappy. If you ever have any concerns with your order or anything else, you're always welcome to ask for a manager, and we'll be happy to assist you. Regarding the menus, it's possible that you had one of our newer servers who would still be learning the menu, so we're sorry about that. I know we can do better, so I hope you'll consider giving us another chance to impress you one day.

My first experience with Rio Bravo and undoubtedly, my last. The chicken quesadilla I ordered was seriously the worst I've ever had anywhere. Limp, greasy (really greasy), very little chicken, huge slices of onion, green and red peppers. A new cook might be in order. Just a suggestion.

Terry, while we pride ourselves in serving food of an excellent quality and flavor, I'm disappointed to read that our chicken quesadilla wasn't to your tastes. That being said, if you're ever unhappy with your meal, you're always welcome to alert your sever, and we'd be happy to remedy any concerns.

First, I am a server myself and have been since 2012. I am NOT the one to write reviews but....Last night was my first time trying this place out, i just knew it would be so good, we get there and are greeted very well by the security guard. Im thinking yes this place will be wonderful! We sit down at a booth about 5 minutes later we are greeted by our server she comes up "what can i get yall to drink" we both say we will start off with waters and my kids...the server walks away..so we couldn't order the kids a drink or order a appetizer, First strike. She brings our waters and again she tries to just drop them off and walk away, "Ma'am can i get drinks for my kids?" And she listens with an attitude, finally got to tell her about the appetizer so we were ok at this point. After this we NEVER seen the server again, we waited 30-45 minutes and we NEVER got to order food! At this point we are very aggravated, and just want the check. She finally comes out of where she been hiding and she says "is everything ok" can you just bring us the check my husband says...10 minutes later she finally does and tells us "Im sorry the system was down so we had to manually write it down" and walks away..I was so over it at this point we came to have a night out and to try a new place and we got kicked in the face by a sever that was ready to go home. Thank god they have other locations cause i refuse to waste my time and money at this one again!
