Roots is a great Salon- make sure you ask for Sarah!
Upon entering you are greeted by a really nice and helpful person- she walked me in to Sarah's station.
Sarah came out with a bright and smiling face, she proceeded to walk me through what services I would like. Sarah remembered what I had done before, we chatted while she did her magic:)

The place itself is very bright and welcoming (you can even get snacks and wine if you desire)

I desperately needed a hair cut after 3 years of not seeing a stylist and trimming my own ends. Tori had a last minute opening so I gave it a shot. She was FANTASTIC. Literally looked at the photos and knew exactly what I wanted! I felt like we were on the same page the entire time. I never book appointments at check out, but I could not pass up seeing her again for a haircut! Tori is a star.

My wife just got back from Roots Salon and Wellness and her hair looks fantastic. I haven't seen it look this good since she had it styled by Anh Co Tran.

Zachery took the time and worked magic on her hair, turned the clock back 15 years. Now only if he could do that for me ;)

Roots Salon has picked up another lifer.

After spending way too much time and money for this look, I'm sincerely disgruntled. I had pictures from multiple angles of my prior cut. Somehow the asymmetrical bob I asked for turned into an impossible to maintain shag. This cut would be great for someone with thick, wavy hair-- on mine it just looks dried out and damaged unless I'm spending a lot of time/heat on it. And because she took way too much off in the wrong places there's no way to fix it until it grows out.


The color probably would work as a pop color on natural hair, but it's a little dull from my usual and I'm finding patches of brassy/blonde in under layers.

I've been to this salon twice in the past several months. (July-Sept 2023) I've had two different stylists. Both were extremely nice and polite. The salon is clean and the service is prompt.

As for my hair, sadly, I've been very disappointed with the cut/style on both occasions. I brought pictures to both appointments. We chatted about what I wanted and what I didn't want. The cut that I wanted was very similar to what I already had, but trimming, shaping up and styling was needed. I keep a medium-short layered cut. I am 65 with salt and pepper hair.

My hair wasn't styled after my first cut at the salon. It didn't look at all like any of the pictures that we discussed. I was upset leaving the salon. When I got home I washed and styled my hair. The cut was fine after I washed and styled it, but I found that my hair was uneven around my ears. I had to trim the area over my left ear, which was 1/2 inch longer than the right side. The hair above my ear and directly back about two inches on the left side was also heavily texturized and much shorter than the right side. Thankfully, i was able to style the area to "hide" the length differences.

The second cut was worse. I went to great lengths to point out how I wanted the back to look...shorter on the sides and bottom, longer and full over the crown. I wanted it soft and feminine. The stylist didn't show me the back with a mirror when she was done. She did have me put my hand through it. I knew it was short, but when I got home, I was absolutely shocked. The back is so short, it's almost impossible to work with. I have a big cowlick on the left side of my crown that now totally sticks out. Styling with a round brush... even one with the smallest barrel is 100% impossible. It's literally the shortest haircut that I've ever had in my life and looks nothing like the pictures that we discussed. In addition, the left side of my neck wasn't cleaned up. A large patch of fuzz remained. My husband had to use a trimmer to clean up my neck.

My husband, who's the easiest going man that you'll ever meet said, "What's up with this haircut, honey? Your cowlick area is sticking straight out! Good thing it will grow!"

I rarely write reviews, but I'm so disappointed. Haircuts are not inexpensive ($60-$65, plus tip), and you have little recourse when the outcome isn't what you explained or expected. I don't believe that I'll return to this salon in the future or recommend to any friends or family. Very sad.

Not only is he out stylist, but he is a good friends and we love him so much.
The environment at the salon is so welcoming, cozy, and it makes you feel like you are being pampered at an extension of your home! I would hangout there all day if I could!!

Got a great hair cut from Kelli! She took her time with me, talked me through a cut that will work with my lifestyle, and was sure to make sure I was satisfied with the cut. The salon is beautiful and everyone is friendly. It was a great experience for me as a first timer!

I had a wonderful first experience at Roots Salon! The Salon is very clean and organized, and all members of staff are friendly and help to make their clients comfortable. Sarah did a great partial highlight and cut off a good 10inches of hair to my desired length. She was incredibly friendly and professional! I love how my hair turned out and will be returning again next time! Thanks!

I've been going to Zach for years and he is absolutely fantastic! I'm currently brunette (and former blonde) and he has always done an amazing job on my hair. He's always great talking through what I want to do with my hair, sharing his recommendations, and really listens.

He works so hard with his team to ensure when you're at the salon, you have the best experience and can enjoy yourself. 15/10 recommend!
