My husband and I like to eat here but the menu has dwindled a bit. We had the elote tots for an appetizer and those were delicious. Burgers are great! Service is good. Nothing fancy but comfy. Rustic decor but they keep it very, very cold. Take a hoodie!

Food is outstanding great burgers and beer. Would highly recommend you stop here. It may be a little out of the way but you won't be disappointed.

There is a reason they are voted #1 burger in the state of Illinois! We started with two appetizers - the etole totes - sweet potato tots with Mexican grilled corn and a great sauce. Next was the brussel sprouts with truffle oil. Both were outstanding! My wife ordered the good morning burger which had a fried egg and she loved it. I had the California burrito burger with corn salsa. The burger was good and spicy with their own pickled jalapeños and a spicy cheese sauce. We were both pleased beyond our high expectations. Finished it off with the hot lava cake. We will need to eat salads for a week...but it is so worth it!

Great gem in this small town. Had an Old Fashioned to begin and it was perfect. Roasted Brussels sprouts for appetizer -amazing. The Ringer burger very very good. Go here! Can't believe we found this place! Can't wait to go back

It's a great burger. My mouth still waters when I think of it. There's a reason that the IL Beef Association named this the best burger in IL. Is it the best? Not the best. The best is 2.5 hrs southeast from here with a 4 hr wait. But this is definitely the 2nd best and there's very little wait time.

There are tons and tons of burger choices. I'm a simple build-your-own kinda girl though. Piled high with crisp vegetables and a burger so big and juicy it drips down your chin. It's good, peeps. Really good.

Everyone loves the fried pickles, but they were so over-the-top salty; they were nearly inedible. Onion rings are good. Fries are good. They have popcorn for hangry kids while they wait for their food. -genius.

Service is exactly the small town friendliness you want and expect. I loved this place

I'm talking delicious to the last bite!!! Onion rings as an appetizer with spicy dipping sauce was so outstanding too. Our patty melts on Texas toast was the best I ever had in my life. The flavor of the hamburger was unlike I have ever had and the sweet sautéed onions on the bun with that sauce put it over the top. Let's talk french fries cooked in peanut oil that left us wanting to come back just for those flavorful sticks of potatoes.
Oh, did I say our server Geri was so great and never left us wanting for anything. You can bring your family here to a exceptionally clean and well run establishment. We'll be back soon and it is really worth the drive to enjoy such a perfect meal with perfect service.

This place does not want your business. They have run off several customers so they did not have to work. They do things like "we do not have enough tables for you" with 6 tables visually available. Then when you ask for carryout they say "oh it will be over an hour to do" really to cook 5 burgers it is over an hour? I call BS. Then when you want to let the owner know they just walk off and ignore you until you leave. This burger joint should save there money and just close before the staff puts them in the poor house. The worst run restaurant in all of Stevens, Carroll, & Jo Davies county. This is a shame. Also they do not take online orders because in there words we can not handle the business. Was a regular customer for years also supporting thru covid just to be treated like this on every try to order this year.
