We recently purchased multiple rugs from Rugport. The gentleman who helped was Amir, a more knowledgeable and professional man you will not meet.
The warehouse is huge but Amir guided us through the process with much patience. He promised us same day delivery, and he delivered.
When something didn't work, he took the rug back and brought us something better suited to our home.
I would not hesitate to recommend Amir or Rugport. I am quite sure Amir is just the right person to see when selecting a rug.

I came here with my dad to help him get a rug cleaned on recommendation from my aunts who have been coming here for years. After speaking with Amir and Houshi, he decided to purchase a new rug. Both of these gentlemen were super knowledgeable, accommodating, and personable. We had a great experience, enjoyed our time, and the rug looks absolutely beautiful. He will be back here next time he needs a rug.

We had an antique hand knotted Persian rug repaired and cleaned and the workmanship was incredible. We also bought a new wool hand knotted rug and Amir's knowledge was unmatched....offered to let us take two rugs home to see them in our room. Their team was at our house in a 1/2 hour, put the rug down, made sure we were completely satisfied and took our old rug for cleaning. Fantastic service and very fair pricing.

I walked into the showroom on a whim after searching on line and in stores for months. I was overwhelmed by the number of rugs of all sizes and designs. I was quickly assisted by knowledgeable and very helpful people. They moved so many rugs to get a sense of what I was looking for. They brought many rugs to my home and all of them were contenders so they really understood my goal. I will definitely be back to them for more as my decorating continues. When I had a pet accident on the new rug, the owner talked me through it from his vacation overseas and sent help right away. Don't look anywhere else! There is a good reason they have been in business in Palatine for so long!

And their service was great. They picked it up for cleaning. They moved my heavy dining room table when they delivered the rug. The price was just what they quoted.
Would definitely use them again.

We took our high end shag rug to get cleaned and we were looking forward to having it cleaned and refreshed. It came back with a terrible odor and multiple stains that looked like it was dyed with red. There were not any precious stains on the rug prior to getting cleaned. Our rig came back in worse condition and we had to toss it.

Absolutely the largest selection of rugs i have seen by multiple times under one roof... I couldn't make a decision the first time I visited them, reason being i had too many to choose from. Ali one of the owners helped was very helpful in guiding me through the process of choosing.. his suggestion of a larger rug ended up better than my own choices and i am very happy with the beautiful wool rug i picked. Professional, helpful and friendly.
I recommend this shop to any one looking for quality are rugs. Also fair prices..

Disclaimer - We did not buy a rug here. My mom was looking for an area rug for a home office. The inventory soon made it clear we would be better served by going to Menards or a similar store for that purchase because of her rug budget. (She needed cheap and functional...)
Rugport has hand-made rugs that are works of art. They are not cheap but the quality and obvious attention to detail are outstanding.
The owner got a chair for my elderly mother to sit in while we looked at the inventory. It quickly became obvious we were not looking for the cost and quality Rugport offers. But did he rush us out the door? No! He sat and talked with my mom for almost a half hour. He was super-friendly and loved to chat with us. As we left he insisted we take some potted cabbage plant plugs he had that a landscaping crew was planting on the small garden plots outside the shop!
Rugport has been in Palatine for ages. If you have a higher-end rug budget, this is the place to go!!

From the moment I called this place, the guy was beyond rude. I wanted my oriental rug to be cleaned and paid extra to have it picked up from my house as I have a small car. The price he quoted on the phone was different then when he showed up at my house. It was $15 so whatever, I didn't make a big deal about it.
They said they'd call when it was done. I pointed out the pet stains (that were very light anyway) and he said they would come out no problem. A month later, I call them. They lost the rug and had to call me back. Thank goodness i kept the paperwork. A few hours later they called me back and found it. Then he proceeded to yell at me because I didn't come get it sooner. Umm because you were supposed to call ME when it's done & I paid for delivery! So they delivered it the next day. It looked AWFUL!! Worse than before. They didn't pretreat the pet stains (like they told me they would) so they turned my beautiful white rug yellow in spots. They admitted it was not good so they took the rug back to wash it again. Another month goes by. I call to check on it. He's rude AGAIN on the phone and asks me yet again why I didnt come get it. This guy can't keep anything straight...how does he run a business?
So they deliver it the next day. It looks better but the stains are still visible. The rug also SHRUNK bc who knows what they did to it at this point. It no longer fits my rug pad and the ends are uneven. Then he tries to charge more money for the 2nd washing after he agreed it didn't come out right the first time.
This guy is just a di#k, completely rude and unprofessional through the whole process. Never once was I rude or even raised my voice, so it was completely unnecessary. He ruined my rug and in the end, I donated it to Goodwill. Please go somewhere else unless you want to be treated poorly and have them ruined your expensive rugs in the process.

We purchased a hand woven Sarape (from India) for our Family Room from Rugport approximately 10 or so years ago. They were very knowledgeable and had provided 4-5 rugs to try at home and see what would work best. We thought their price was reasonable, too.

Flash forward to Summer 2021:

We had Rugport clean and repair our beloved rug. Their repairs were high quality, done by hand and on a very reasonable timeframe. They are extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with and it's hard to believe, but they remembered us from so many years ago and treated us like family! They keep a wide variety of styles, colors and sizes so count on making several trips (if you're like me) to look, dream and decide what might work best in your home or office. You will find Alex & Hooshi very easy to work with and happy to assist you.
