I'm not sure why they don't have a Michelin star yet. It's a small dining area with simple eats. Mostly self service, included with a little bit of sass from the staff. I'm thinking this may be a cultural difference, but if you can get past that, which you should. This place is a hidden gem! Also you can go walk on the beach to digest the delicious food after. Perfect date night spot.

I enjoy a good Vietnamese restaurant but when I stopped in I didn't get any food. It was a warm Spring day so I opted for one of their limeades. They have them in the bubbler so I chose the mango passionfruit one. It was delightful albeit a tad sweet. It's a good thing they pack with full with ice so it can mellow out. I took my drink and walked along the boardwalk taking in the ocean views and the cool breeze. Do yourself a favor and don't sleep on supporting a neighborhood Asian restaurant. Cheers!

Walking into this spot, you could feel and smell the authenticity of Vietnamese food. The service was great and took a bit, but worth the wait. The lemonade was very refreshing, egg rolls were delicious and spring rolls were fresh. Definitely will stop by here again when I have more time to get the pho.

Very slow service and extremely mediocre food. The banh mi was dry and without any type of sauce. Also a bit overpriced IMO. I wouldn't recommend this place

A must try if you're in the area! No wonder this place has won awards multiple years in a row; it's absolutely delicious.

This small restaurant is easy to miss with everything that goes on in Newport Beach, but don't overlook it! I was surprised to see this place empty on a Saturday afternoon.

The quality of the food was amazing. I loved the steamed buns that I got. My personal favorite was the pork belly bun. It was packed with flavor and such a bargain. I loved the way that the pork belly melted in my mouth and the freshness of the pickled vegetable. It can get a little messy, but it's so worth it. I'd definitely recommend getting more than two if you have a larger appetite. I'll be coming back the next time I'm in the area.

      Overall: 3.6/5 (dine in)

This is a small storefront that's street facing so it might be hard to find parking right in front. I was surprised when I got there because I thought it was a sit down restaurant but the set up is really for take out/delivery. They have bars & stools along the side of the walls but at max, the restaurant can only seat 8-10 people. Customer service is good here though.

Pork Belly Bun Slider ($5.95): Better than the grilled pork slider but was just okay.

Grilled Pork Bun Slider ($5.75): The grilled pork was very dry.

For both sliders, they gave a lot of carrots which I liked but they were lacking all the Vietnamese flavors. The buns were soft though.

420 Downtowner Special ($10.25): We were both so disappointed when we tried this. The presentation was nice but the taste was mid. The green colored rice and the shredded chicken were bland. The pork on top was a bit less dry than the one in the bun and was the only thing with flavor.

Nam Nam Wings (5 Wings For $7.95): The wings were the best item of the night. They were crispy and tasty.

Not bad. The place has good options and the food is good but the server forgot half our order and disappeared. Had to chase them down to order in the first place. Disappointed.

A pho baguette? It's like Bahn Mi and Pho had a baby and it was the best of both! It was so so so good! Think French dip with pho flavors dipped in pho broth!

The pork and vermicelli was so fresh and so delicious! The buns were incredible!

This will always be on our list when we come visit! Can't wait to try more food options! Everything was so so good!

Always a favorite in Newport and has a great mix of indulgent and healthier options. I love their boa buns and they meats are always so rich and delicious. The spring rolls and vermicelli is filled with fresh veggies that add great crunch. Be prepared to wait for you order but it's totally worth it.
