Ordered delivery for first time. Everything arrived quickly and everything arrived pretty good, their pho broth had so much flavor and reminded me of some very good true Vietnamese pho. The chicken and veggies was great. The rice was meh, but I don't generally eat a lot of rice with these dishes. I really enjoyed everything. Even the beef salad which was different because it was cold beef on lettuce. Which I'm just not sure to. Recommend a try.

This is seriously the BEST pho place in town!!! They have big menu but I love the pho here.

This place has about 10 tables and if you go on the weekend it gets super busy. I would recommend calling to secure a reservation. There was only one person waiting on the tables so you may have to wait a while for your drinks and check. Overall I liked this place and I would go every week if I could.

Where my Cali friends at ( who misses/craves pho )? You guys know how we do pho in California ;) This place is exceptional for pho, though. It's not the best BUT it will definitely fulfill your craving especially on a chilly day. They only have pho bo (12 euros). Avocado smoothie--get it. The smoothie was pricey 4.5 euros, but it was yummy. Our waiter was very kind, he spoke to me in Vietnamese and to my boyfriend in German-- all needs were met and he let us sample their plum beverage.

Try this place and fulfill that craving!

What the Pho are you talking about?!!!? This restaurant is a hidden gem for you adventure seeking land lubbers who wish to experience South East Asian cuisine in the Deutschland... Look. No. Further. Dive in and experience a big bowl of Pho...enjoy the exquisite tastes of noodles, boiled meats, and broth. Want some texture!?!?! Look no further! Sprouts are provided for you to enjoy! Then you can wash it all down with beverage of your choice! On a serious note... I never had Pho before my visit to Kaiserslautern. It was a fun and unique experience you should have at least once.

This place most definitely made it to my list of the top worse dining experience, EVER.

How it got all these 5 stars reviews? I have no clue because the reasoning isn't at all obvious in what I've experienced and witnessed during tonight's dinner service. Justin and I drove across town for this Vietnamese restaurant due to the wonderful reviews about them. I want my time, energy, and gas money back for this horrendous trip.

This place was easy enough to find, but parking was scarce. We opted for the parking garage down the street and walked to Saigon. We arrived around 7PM. The server pointed to a table for us to sit down at. We did not get our menus instantly, so that gave us plenty of time to observe the place. There were 10 tables in this very small restaurant. Although there were a few other tables occupied, the whole restaurant was very quiet. They gave complimentary Vietnamese shrimp crackers for each table and had a tealight candle on a stand set up at each one. Every other guests' table got theirs lit out of orders throughout our visit, but never ours.

We eventually got to ordering our food and beverages. I always prefer to order in the language the server seems most comfortable with to minimize or eliminate any confusions. I spoke to our server in Vietnamese and told him we'd like to start with the Goi Cuon (Spring Rolls) followed by the Pho Bo (Beef Noodle Soup) and Mi Xao Thap Cam (Combination Fried Noodles). Tell me why...When I ordered the fried noodles, HE ASKED ME WHAT NUMBER THAT ITEM WAS...Like, why in the hell does that matter? If it were the other way around, I'd understand. But dude, I literally just told you EXACTLY what that item is. I would hope the chef would know and have heard of the dish (that's right in your menu!). I did not see water/sparkling water on the menu and asked if they charged. He told me they do charge. We went ahead and ordered one glass of water along with a cola. He left without lighting the candle at our table OR taking the menus out of our way, even though Justin was clearly holding both our menus in sight to hand over to him.

I have never in my life seen such disorganization at an establishment. More and more guests came bustling in while we waited, filling up all the remaining tables. The staff does not seem to work well together and have no set system. Some people were handed menus right away, some weren't. Same with the shrimp crackers. Same with taking orders. Same with the candles. It was chaos. The same two main servers running back and forth looking confused. The girl was about to bring out ANOTHER set of drinks for us because she didn't know it had already been brought out. She had a shocked look on her face as she stood there and stared at our table before heading to the back where I saw her gulping down the soda herself.

The people who ordered after us got their food first. Apparently it wasn't even the right dish and they tried to send it back with no success. I saw the server guy bring it back out to them again and from what I could only assume, convinced them to eat it anyway.

At this point, we have already been waiting over half an hour with only our drinks. Justin's water was halfway gone, my cola almost untouched because I did not want to fill up on soda before food. The spring rolls we ordered as an appetizer did not even come out. Until it did...to the wrong table, of yet, another patron who ordered after us. The patron once again told the server guy it's not his order, but he will just keep it anyways. This was a bit much for me at this point, so I did not hesitate to stop the server who tries rushing past our table every chance he gets. I told him we have not gotten our appetizer yet. He mumbled something as he continued to rush past me. When he came back out, I told him once again, "That guest you most likely gave our spring rolls to ordered after us. We have been waiting for a very long time." To which he replied distastefully, "He's been waiting a long time too." ...OKAY. First of all, every guests here have waited a long time due to the incompetent and snail service. The only thing they're quick at was dodging guests who needs them. I can clearly see that everyone there has waited a while. But you can't just switch up the order of things.

5 minutes later, Justin's food finally arrived. Not our appetizers. Not both our dish. Just his. I have HAD IT at this point. We got up and left. The server guy chased us while we walked down the street and said I can't just do that. Can't do what now? Leave after NOT drinking your beverage, NOT eating your food, waiting 40 minutes, and putting up with shitty service? MISS ME WITH THAT BULL.

I could care less at that point if they have the best noodles in all the land. NOTHING is worth being treated like this.

      Winter is Coming.

Actually...winter is here. And I am not a fan.

Moving to Germany from Savannah has been an adventure. I was prepared to adjust...new language, new rules, new food...I was NOT prepared for the weather. This cold situation is out of control.

Thankfully, I have Saigon, and their warm-you-to-your-bones pho to make me feel better. Their broth is delicious, distinct from any pho I've had before (I think they use cinnamon) and it sets them apart from any Vietnamese place I've been before. They only have one kind of pho, but really, it's all you need. And you won't find the typical lime/jalapeno/cilantro add-ins, but I honestly don't miss them. Grubbing down on this amazing soup chases away the winter chill.

Oh...and did I mention they have AMAZING spring rolls?

And that their coffee with sweetened condensed milk is worth every last calorie? It is like drinking a shot of melted, warm Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream...in the best way possible.

Oh, and lucky for all you non-driving kids, Siagon is conveniently located within walking distance of the K-Town train station.

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the pho is so delightful!

Saigon is the best Vietnamese food in K-town. I have no doubt in my mind about this. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so be sure to make a reservation to eat here. Luckily, we were able to wait 10 minutes and they squeezed us in, but next time we will call ahead of time. Be warned, they are closed on Wednesdays.

On a cooler day, we sat down for some authentic Pho. It did not disappoint. It had the richness of a broth made the right way, with maybe a little too much fat left in skimmed. However, it hit the spot and I am so happy I can get Pho whenever I want (except Wednesdays).

Service can be a little slow, but I have become accustomed to this. They also offer hot pots for groups, which looked both delicious and fun. If you are having a Vietnamese craving, then definitely head to Saigon.

Awesome place. Small buffet and it seems like everything is of excellent quality. The flat grill has kangaroo and shark on the options! Never had kangaroo. Friendly staff, speaks English. Duck in the buffet line is delicious.

Came here with a large group of friends. Had a great time, good ambiance, not loud and big tables. Food was very good in general. Although my dish (tofu w/ wok veggies) was a bit too salty and had too many onions (felt like 50% of the veggies was onions).
Service was very pleasant but slow. We had to wait quite awhile to order, get our food and order dessert. But definitely would go back!

Saigon is delicious. Not sure if it's "authentic" but, it's a huge change to the same menu at most restaurants in Germany and its yummy. Very fresh tasting. We usually get the spring rolls as an appetizer and change things up for our main course. Everything is tasty.

Downside? The service. Super slow. We once sat for an hour before getting our drinks and then waiting another hour before our food came out. Ugh. Even with poor service, we go back for the food.

Highly recommend making reservations as they fill up pretty quick (and the restaurant is small) and get there early so you're not waiting all night for food.
