Simply MAGICAL! Where to even start?!
If you are a burned out MOM this one is for you!
I had been looking into the events section for several months but since I live on the Opposite end of ATL I hadn't made the trip.
I hit a wall, big time, with work/kids I was burned out to the max so I decided to book a whole day and an event so I could really dig into the self care I often neglect.
I started with an EXCEPTIONAL massage, when I walked into the room, Renee, greeted me with a warm smile and asked how she can help me- I almost cried bc it was genuine and frankly nobody ever asks me that, I'm always the one running around for others.
The massage was so relaxing, renee has very intuitive and healing hands.
I then did the float tank, I felt like I was in the womb- sounds weird but if you try it you will understand.
I did the zero gravity chair and put on my meditation music.
Lastly, I attended the group event with Raye for the equinox.
HOLY SH!t Batman!
When I tell you I left feeling SHEER JOY, I mean sheer euphoric JOY!
Sitting in circle is always pleasant and I enjoy it but whatever sound bath magic is happening in that salt cave is unreal! The sounds and vibrations I had never heard or even imagines permeated every cell of my being.
If you go try to make a day of it to really soak it in, the prices are extremely reasonable and the service is top notch!
Thank you to Brandi, Barbara, Renee, and Raye!
This is your sign to just go... your mind, body, and soul will thank you!
I will DEFINITELY be back!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Loretta L.Knoxville, TN4643Feb 3, 2024
I love the salt cave (though it's not a warm room at all. More like a cave - 67 degrees). Our yoga teacher was very peaceful and thoughtful. None of the yoga was difficult. I found it all very relaxing and will definitely be back!!!

I gave a 2 because whoever I corresponded with online was very responsive and answered all my questions and had me looking forward to my appointment. I arrived with my mom 10-15 min early for the appointment and we were escorted into a room to wait. We waited until past our appointment time (maybe only 5-10, but no apology or explanation as to what we were waiting for, or anything) The girl finally came in giving VIP treatment to the late couple. Explaining the process, what they needed to do with their belongings, handing them baskets, etc. I had my back to her at first so I thought she was talking to all of us (my mom was across for me and I was wondering why she didn't get up) I got up and turned around and was ignored so completely, my mom said, "I think they're here for something else." I looked back at the lady and she was only making eye contact with the couple and clearly speaking only directly to them. I sat back down by mom understanding why she never got up and feeling crazy for getting up and they were here for something else. They got escorted into the room with blankets and then she came back out and looked at my mom and I and asked, are you coming? So then we had to rush and put our things in the basket and head in. I don't understand why the group wasn't addressed. I won't say it was because the couple was white and we were black, but... it sure seems that way which is what I told my co-workers who were waiting to see what my experience was. I definitely wouldn't come back, which is probably the point in treating us that way.

Dee - We are so sorry to hear that your experience at Saltville wasn't up to the standards we hold for ourselves. We hate that there was a breakdown in communication and that you felt unheard and unseen. Please accept our deepest apologies, there are no words that can undo what you experienced. We are truly heartbroken that you did not enjoy your time with us. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to reconcile your feelings about our establishment. You can contact our Customer Relations manager at (678) 235-5333. Her name is Becky. She is who you spoke with during your registration. Again, we are truly sorry for not providing the most excellent care while you were with us.

The initial visit started out great. The staff was friendly and prompt attention was provided.
Also, to be fair, most of the staff was accomodating throughout the visit. The premises are nice and relaxing. However, towards the end of my visit, one of the staff members made remarks that were deeply personal, offensive, vile, disrespectful and unprofessional. It was an opinionated observation that a person might think but should never say aloud to ANY guest. Needless to say, I was shocked beyond belief and at that point, felt very uncomfortable with the service. The statement was basically the equivalent of "You are odorous". To avoid confrontation, I did not voice my opinion at the time but it was obvious by my silence that it had unsettled and angered me. As a professional myself, I would never treat a client in that manner and her behavior was inexcusable. I will never return to the Saltville spa and would not recommend it to others.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Annise - I am so sorry to read this review. Could you please provide further details about the services that you received. I am completely appalled that anyone associated with Saltville Grotto would behave in such a manner. We pride ourselves on our customer service and to know that one of our employees or contractors acted in this manner completely floors me. I will most definitely discuss this with the staff. Please accept my sincerest apologies. I understand that nothing can take back the experience that you described. We are sorry we did not live up to the standards that we have put forth for ourselves. I am truly heartbroken by this review. If you would like to discuss this further, we will be happy to get you in contact with our manager.

When I was in the area a couple of months ago. I stopped by to sit in the salt cave. It was amazing. It was a peaceful meditation and I was able to really clear my head. I also brought my 12 year old daughter. We were able to just relax. It had such a calming atmosphere. It is chilly, but they provide nice large soft blankets. It was a great experience. If I am in the area I would definitely go back.

I enjoyed an awesome time at Serenity. In addition to the salt cave, they provide massage, yoga, and reflexology.
The salt cave/room is very relaxing and the negative ions have health benefits. The staff are very helpful too.

I called and registered for that class. Their online classes/ schedules need to be updated and their staff should be more professional!
If they cancel the class because they don't have ppl attending then they should have that online as well. Just very unprofessional whatsoever. I had an adult experience with this studio!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I’m sorry you experienced not being able to take an early morning yoga class, however, all classes need to be scheduled in advance. We open at 10:00 unless a yoga class has students registered and attending. Unfortunately you were not registered and we had no other clients registered for the 8:30 AM class therefore, the teacher does not make a trip to the studio if no one is signed up to take the class. The hours of operation are noted on the front door desk visible through the window. On our website it states our hours and early hour yoga classes are not held unless clients are pre registered. You may want to call and schedule your yoga classes at new studios because as far as I know we all have the same policy. Unless they provide drop in service and are able to pay teachers to be at the studios regardless of Participation and or registration. Thank you and so sorry for the inconvenience.
Jan 5, 2019Previous reviewThe yoga class was supposed to start at 9 am!! It was not cancelled, at least it wasn't online that it was cancelled!!
The sign said " open come in" but the door was locked! Called, and waited for 30 min no one ever showed up or answered my calls. Ridiculous! Go else where!! One other person came and waited with me!
Waisted my time with this!! Everyone is busy keep that in mind!
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!! - Sasha M.Snellville, GA80147222Sep 15, 2018

Long read:
I've never done yoga a day in my life. My friend who is more experienced showed me a special they were running for a month of unlimited classes and we decided to head on over. I called a few days ahead of time and was scheduled immediately. Rosie booked me and she was very kind.
Location:
They are located right behind Bank of America near City Hall. There is a bit of construction going on there now and the city was having an event. I drove in just fine, but during the class the police placed barricades at the parking lot entrance/exit so we had to drive through the gravel area to get out. Other than that, sufficient parking and easy enough to find if you know the area.
Class:
Hatha by Parks
Parks personality is very kind and calming. He went at a decent pace that worked for the newer people as well as the more advanced participants. He shared modifications if you wanted to have an easier method as well as advanced modifications to challenge yourself. Personally, I like this because I felt in no way pressured that I was holding anyone back nor did the more advanced feel like they were requesting unreasonable directions/paces. Towards the end we relaxed with lavender, lights off, etc. Normally I would never close my eyes in the dark with people I just meant. My car keys and phone were across the room, I had only a mat and sponge block as a weapon and would be screwed if I was attacked. (We've accomplished that I'm paranoid already in previous reviews. I come from the NY/North Jersey area where you have to stay ready!)
I digress ... Anyway, I say that to say, I actually closed my eyes and drifted off after a few minutes!! Parks was just so genuinely trusting and nice. At the end he thanked us for coming and gave us wishes for a great journey.
I cannot wait to come back and see him and the other offerings of the center.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
