HORRIBLE FRONT OFFICE FEMALE ..a mature sounding female with a thick Persian accent began to ARGUE with me over my preference to give personal info in person versus over the phone. She insisted, became very belligerent and spoke over me. If the front office is difficult, that is a BAD sign! Unfortunately, this argumentative characteristic is very unattractive and problematic and comes off as a cultural flaw where the attitude is one of ruling with an iron fist. After reading other reviews, I feel that that I've dodged a BULLET!

Nightmare!
Dr Parsi caused me to lose a good tooth and damage another tooth. He advertises as holistic; w/ PRICES of holistic dentists, no insurance. But he's not using holistic materials, or procedures. He's not even practicing w/ basic conventional practices.
I booked at Wellness Dentistry-as the holistic dentists in the area were months out. He was only 2 days. I thought I was LUCKY to find one w/ 'good reviews', so I even mentioned him to my gf who was also looking for a dentist.
The appt was for 'ozone treatment' on my wisdom tooth socket (gum), due to a bump. Dentists & cardiologists I'd spoken to said socket "cavitations" may be the reason for my atrial fibrilations. Parsi completely ignored the reason for appt; instead, obsessed on my teeth! My teeth never had a cavity or sensitivity. He refused my request for Xray of the wisdom socket area. Instead he coerced me, w/ misleading info, to do unnecessary "build ups" for 2 teeth; ignoring the treatment I desperately needed. He falsely claimed the holistic composite restores enamel etc. My former dentists had not advised work on teeth. He ignored my concerns of allergies. He was like talking to a bulldozer.
Before next appt: 1) I got a CBCT at a 5-star endodontist who ALSO advised me NOT to have anything done to those teeth. 2) My friend (who I'd referred to Parsi) had ALREADY been to him for her tooth. She'd asked for the holistic composite, but he didn't put it in(?) I got concerned that maybe they'd run out. So I called before my visit to ask if they had it on hand? & why they didn't give it to her? I asked the mngr what they used in lieu of the holistic material-Voco. She said they used 'Herculite'. She assured they DID have the Voco for me.
At appt: I hadn't brushed teeth, thinking he'd sterilize them. Nope! Just a tiny mouthful of ozonated water and spit? Then he 'rinsed out' the ozone water w/ his dental hose. It tasted like moldy tap water. Ew! Later I learned, holistic dentists use medical-grade OZONE GAS. And they DON'T rinse it out with tap water! But ozone gas doesn't take the place of cleaning the teeth!
Next tooth, same. Stuck his nasty dental hose into my mouth again. I stopped him saying "it tastes like moldy dirt". I asked WHY he'd "rinse away sterile ozone w/ tepid tap water?" No answer.
I asked for another sip of ozone. He got offended and started ranting on how his 'hose was not moldy' etc.
It was.
He abruptly sent the assistant away, handed ME the suction hose to hold (for the remainder), stuffed my mouth w/cotton & said: "Bring me the Herculite!"
I panicked. HERCULITE was NOT the VOCO we'd agreed on! HE DIDN'T KNOW I knew the name of the Herculite. He thought he could call it by name and I'd never know. W/ cotton clogging my mouth, I'm like 'VOCO, VOCO!" He brushed me off saying, "I'm only going to build the wall up with herculite."
I rationalized, thinking 'NO ONE would be diabolical enough to go against our SPECIFIC agreement, esp w/ my allergies. He'll switch back to Voco". He WAS diabolical enough.
I believe he did it in retaliation for complaining about his moldy hose. He built up that tooth WAY too high. I asked him 3X to shave it down. He refused. Eventually it cracked.
I reacted to the Herculite rt away; incessant sneezing; burning/red/itching eyes. Swollen throat, nasals and lymphs. Jaw clenching. Then hard, red bumps started appearing on tongue that burned when toothpaste touched them. Then HORRIBLE migraines.
By never cleaning teeth & filling it too high, he'd created a scenario for a crack and infection. I wonder how many people he does this to? Repeat customers? A similar outcome occurred with my friend. She asked for Voco; but he placed Herculite. He built up filling too high as well,so it cracked her tooth.
I begged him for weeks to remove the Herculite; he wouldn't. Finally he did; w/ no anesthesia, & sharpest drill. He kept painfully gouging into my dentin. Once, he slipped and cut my lip! Returned 4X to get it all out!
I had a few good weeks where I improved. Then, the other tooth became INFECTED! Hot/cold sensitive; bad breath,10/10 pain; couldn't sleep. I told him I wanted filling out immediately.
At first Parsi said he'd remove filling, but ONLY IF I agreed to say that he never put in Herculite on rt side.I told him I'm not going to lie! He said, 'Ok get it extracted or a root canal.'
I looked for another dentist. Few wanted to touch Parsi's malpractice, due to liability.
I found an excellent dentist in San Diego who removed the filling so my tooth could be accessed, sterilized and remineralized. The headaches, pressure and pain went away. But by then, the infection had compromised the tooth and it couldn't be used to chew without pain. For 6 wks I blended my food and used remedies to restore enamel. The damage was irreversible. It had to be EXTRACTED.
Parsi ruined a year of my life and 2 teeth and hasn't even apologized.
Parsi is a danger to the practice of dentistry. Will be reporting to the ADA.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Sherry D.Escondido, CA07Oct 3, 2021

We took my Son to be treated by Dr. Parsi and he had a pleasant visit. He was nervous at first but the Dental Assistant and Dr. Parsi took care of him and made it pleasant! My son even wanted to go back to watch the DVD movies. We highly recommend this place with anyone that has children.

My family has been coming here for a few years. We made the mistake of going to another dentist, we only switched dentists due to insurance coverage changes.
I have been back in with Dr. Parsi and his team for over 6 months again. They are very honest, they aren't looking to Nickel and dime you. I've had many positive experiences here.
For example; I had an old filling that was a mercury filling. I wasn't looking to get rid of it, but for Health concerns Dr. Parsi suggested I consider removing. I looked into the benefits of removing the mercury filling and decided to move forward with it. I had been having uncomfortable pains and discomforts in my mouth for a while now. As soon as the mercury was removed my mouth felt a lot better, my discomfort has decreased significantly. I am so happy he made this suggestion. My mental clarity has since improved, and I feel more functional in my day to day routine. I was feeling super groggy and tired all day. Since the mercury was removed I can honestly say I am still not a morning person, but I don't feel like I need a nap at 10 am anymore! Thanks so much for taking care of me. My family and I will continue to come here for my oral health and hygiene.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Esmeralda M.San Diego, CA02Oct 4, 2019Updated review
I was looking for a dentist after we moved into the area. I was referred to Dr. Parsi as being a holistic dentist. He is knowledgeable and competent but not a good fit for me. I like going to doctors that see themselves as advisors but that in the end leave me in the driver's seat.
I don't have any fillings and I just wanted to go in for a basic cleaning to remove tarter buildup. My appointment was for 8a and the assistant and hygienist kept stalling because Dr. Parsi didn't show up until after 9a. The doc decides I could use a deep clean and that's his professional opinion which I can respect. However it's my mouth and should have been my decision. I asked him some questions but then repeated several times I was just there that day for a routine cleaning. I was also pressed for time because they had told me a cleaning would take about an hour and I really just wanted them to get on with the cleaning. The hygienist then proceeded to do step one of their deep clean which I didn't want. I had no pain going in and now my gums are so sore and I can tell they removed some of my gum tissue. Argh I feel I was mouth raped!
The hygienist should have completed a basic cleaning as I requested. The doc could have come in for an exam after and recommended the deep clean. Likely, I would have agreed to it after a few visits but it was too much for a first visit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 3, 2019Previous reviewI was looking for a dentist after we moved into the area. Dr. Parsi and Jenna made my daughter feel so comfortable and at home with her dental appointment. She walked out with a huge smile on her face and I didn't hear a peep out of her throughout the appointment. She had two fillings done for the first time and I was anxious about how she would do. Dr. Parsi really takes his time to make sure that the kids are comfortable during these appointments. He has a special way of calming them and making it as pleasant of an experience as possible. I also love that this practice is a holistic practice and the materials that they use are biocompatible and free of the toxins that some other offices use. I highly recommend this practice!
