Sam's Auto Clinic

Beep beep. Sam's Auto Clinic and more specifically, Sam, to the rescue. My Audi hybrid was DOA and the battery was not accessible, as Audi thoughtfully disables the hatch so it can't be opened. Grrrr.

Sam got it all unraveled in a matter of hours. He wasn't sure which battery was needed, so he ordered all of them, put in the right one, and returned the rest to his vendor. No upselling, and about half the price quoted by my service writer at the Audi dealer in Pasadena.

Could it get any better? Yes. Sam's an awfully nice guy with a sense of humor and a busy shop. Don't mess around -- drive in, or have Auto Club send over the flatbed and head straight to Sam's.

Very expensive (over twice pricey )and not clear fix. Cannot find car problems.

Needed a smog test and visited Sams Auto clinic. Very professional and prompt service.

Took my Porsche in today for a brake job. Sam did the pads and rotors. Been going to Sam for many years and he never disappoints.

Left the car on Friday. Wouldn't give me a quote till Tuesday. He kept saying it's a vintage car and finding the part would be hard. Another auto shop already had a photo of the problem and stated they could fix for $70. This guy said that because it's vintage and hard to find part will likely be around $100 to $125. First red flag because the other auto shop guy said that part was common and in every auto zone. Felt like he was going to overbill me. So we called him couple times to find out estimate. He kept delaying. Asked him if he could let us know at least on Monday what the estimate would be. He yelled at us because we called him multiple times. I was just worried because times are hard and money is tight. So disappointed by him yelling that I took the car to the other auto shop. He threatened to charge us $100 bucks a day starting same day for storage. Never again.

First of all I don't care about your happiness. I am happy not to use your over charging services! You gave me couple hour notice to move my car but need multiple days just to give me price? Your threat with couple hour notice was so disrespectful and your yelling was so disrespectful that I filed a complaint with AAA. I have never felt such disrespect from an auto shop. Next time why don't u try to have an adult conversation. I called you after my husband called u first because he stated you yelled at him too. By the way you wanted 2 work days to do an estimate. Including weekend that's 4 days of my car sitting at your shop without a price. You want to get technical? You had three hours on Friday and wanted until Tuesday to give me an estimate on a simple fix. You were not even busy on Friday when we arrived. I asked for a price by midday Monday and you started yelling at me. Good riddance.

Went in for the first time for a smog check of my 2009 Nissan. Went fast. Noticed customers coming in. Clients with long records using this shop. Always a good sign.

Sam is simply the BEST! He is friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy and fair. He goes above and beyond to service my car and always gives me helpful recommendations. He is accessible and has always helped me (and my family) in a pinch, providing comprehensive services and sound advice. Sam's Auto is the place to GO!!!

Sam's Auto is the best. We found him almost 7 years ago when we moved into the area and haven't gone to anybody else since. Sam is super friendly, does excellent, reliable work and looks to save us money without sacrificing quality. Thanks to him, our 2013 van is in great shape!
