Love this place great music and definitely good hookah. A must go if you're in Va beach.

Didn't even try the food because we were RUDELY stopped by the bar tender stating that my boyfriend couldn't wear a WHITE T SHIRT yet a group of people in bathing suits and trunks were allowed in. Mind you the same guy was just bored WAITING for people to come in guess the food is ass judging by their service and LACK of customers.

It's definitely a Great vibe going on in here. The bar is located on the main strip - Atlantic Ave. The security guy pointed us in the direction of a clear table. The waiter cleaned the table & we sat. The drink menus are located on the wall and the food menu is on a chalk style board on the middle of tge restaurant. The bar also offers flavored hookah. We purchased souvenir glasses that can be refilled for $9 each time that you visit. I had the Beach long island & my friend had a purple haze. The music was blasting old school r&b & hip hop. This place serves as a blast from the past by giving a hint of normalcy before the pandemic attacked! The lumpitas were served piping hot but kinda small & rolled together.
Originally, I rated this place a 5 star but sadly when I returned a few hours later with my nice souvenir cup, the dynamics of this place had changed. My friend and I walked in & began looking for a table but a security guy told us that our ID had to be checked outside. We were looking stunned because there was no bouncer outside which is clearly why we walked in. A guy in plain clothes asked for my ID so I got it out & showed him. He reviewed it then abruptly kicked me out the club because there were no tables available. The same guy that was busy getting a young lady's phone number & not on his job initially. When he returned to his post to do his job he definitely overdid it. Welp, so much for $9 refills & so much for this place.

My coworker and I went ou to celebrate a great week and we sat for 10+ minutes as MULTIPLE worjS helped newer people coming in. The remodel is amazing but service was bad so we left.

I was hellbent on getting a cheeseburger and super disappointed about the sand bar not having any but decided to stay anyway.. GREAT DECISION! These may have been the best wings I've ever tasted and I'm a big wing person. My waiter was Stanley was super super friendly, down to earth and even more helpful! He assured me that I would love the wings even though I had other plans. They have sooooo many wing flavors and drink specials too! I can't wait to come back this summer. The music was great too -That's what made me stop!

Dirty, loud & they harassed me with my service dog because they don't know service dog laws. The two doormen said that anyone could buy a vest so they needed to see my paperwork. Ada doesn't require a vest or paperwork. Not to mention my dogs vest was made out of my old military uniform. Also all an establishment can ask is if the dog is a service dog & what tasks the dog has been trained to preform...
Wouldn't recommend this crappy bar that only appeals to spring breakers.

Sandbar is a quaint, long and narrow, hole in the wall bar, that very much reminds me of the bars back home in my little town of West Lafayette, Indiana. I really felt right at home right when I walked in and sat down right at the bar with my husband and friend Zach. Our bartender, jokingly introduced himself as PJ (peanut butter/jelly), and was very friendly and accommodating. He took our drink orders, and handed us menus because we were very hungry and it was around 4pm so we needed some dinner in our faces! Bar food is not my first pick, but after scanning the menu, I chose 10 wings with a side of fries, Zach chose 20 wings with fries, and my husband chose the Jack Daniels burger with fries. There were several sauces to choose from, around 10 if I remember, so I chose teriyaki and pineapple bbq, and Zach chose the dirty wings. I was pleased to see that the wings were made fresh in front of us, fresh raw chicken wings fried up so they were still nice and crunchy even after sauced! The wings were on the small side, so next time I will get more than 10. Luke, the cook, was the only one in the kitchen when we arrived and he cooked up and presented our meals, and everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. Better than many restaurants I have been to in the past. I took a bite of my husbands burger and whoa, it was so juicy and well put together, with perfectly melted cheese and crisp bacon. The curly fries I watched being made, and they were crunchy, hot, seasoned perfectly and served on cute wooden boards. The bar food back at home isn't this good! The guys ate thier meals with cold beers, and ended their meals with a few shots just for the fun of it. Overall, we walked out feeling satisfied, and happy, and we will for sure return!

Drinks were pricy but it is worth it to get the 14 dollar sandbar because its 8 dollar refills when you come back in with the cup. The place is fun great music with a DJ and you can play cornhole. Bartender was nice and I could not decide on what to drink so he surprised me with his own twist on things. Cant' wait to go back

My friends and I went to the sandbar both nights out during our trip. Super fun atmosphere, and the security also really looks out for the girls if guys are being touchy/ pushy. They are also funny and dance through while making rounds through. Bartenders were also really nice and got us a round of shots both nights. Would deff go back if I'm in the area. One thing is that they seemed to sometimes ask for a cover but then when we were like alright were going elsewhere they said nevermind. Apparently they never have a cover but try to get you to pay. So just don't agree to pay without questioning. Other than that
