Came in with my wife not knowing what to expect.
We were mesmerized the depth of flavor of the lamb curry. The balance of spices went really well together especially eating it with garlic naan to soak up ever last bite. I could tell the cooking process was carefully carried out to get that laying of flavor.
The samosa were freshly fired. It had a light crunch exterior and pillowy soft interior. Again the spices were carefully curated for the diners' to enjoy.
Lastly we had the chicken biryani, where each grain of rice was soaking with flavor. Definitely coming back to this place!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 21, 2024Updated review1 check-in
I have never been to the restaurant, however I have gotten food from them through the grocery store. Namaste, India in Ardenwood area .
I have got few items from there :
Konaseema chicken fry: really good. Quantity is on the lower side. As advertised on the spicier side
Paneer dum biryani: not flavorful and not good. Mixed it with above chicken.
Nawabi goat biryani: clearly good. The goat was roasted deeply and was flavorful this item as it claims to be extra spicy. I don't think it was as spicy as the about chicken fry, but still worthwhile getting it on a repeated basis.
Gongura mutton biryani: this was just really spicy (lot more than typical extra spicy) and did not have the tanginess of gongura. Certainly disappointed with this dishHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 16, 2024Previous reviewI was excited to learn that a nearby grocery store. Namaste, India carried biryani's made by this restaurant.
I got two of them. One was gongura chicken biryani and man. It was really really spicy. I had to add equal amounts of white rice. Even then it was spicy for me. Well I don't mind the spice but it was totally overpowering the tanginess if Gongura.
The chicken dumb biryani item was not as spicy still on the higher levels and what much more flavorful. Not the traditional fashion.

We came as a group of 4 for lunch and to our surprise, it was buffet only. They have beer as part of the buffet and the food is delicious, flavorful and they have so many options. The restaurant was packed by the time we grabbed our first plate.
As a spice intolerant person, I had a hard time eating most of the food. However, I did find some solace in the signficantly less spicy food so I largely indulged in the butter chicken, white rice and naan.
We also had some mango lassi and it was refreshing~ This place is a huge bang for your buck but will be more mindful about the nonspicy options in the future.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 43144566Dec 21, 2023Updated review
It is very rare to revisit a restaurant as I usually like to explore new options. But this restaurant pulled me back because of their spicy Gongura chicken biryani. This biryani is one of a kind I ever had in the bay area and it always reminds my hometown where gongura chutney is served as a condiment with Biryani.
My wife was vegetarian on the day of our visit so we ordered panner michi ka salon it is amazing, the spice levels are upto our mark. When they spicy it is really spicy that Andhra people eat.
This will be our go to spot at least once in a two weeks.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Nov 3, 2023Previous reviewOne of my friends suggested this place many times to try the Gongura chicken biryani. I tried gongura biryani many times and most of the restaurants just mixes the rice with gongura pickle and it does not taste like Biryani at all where the pickle taste would dominate the biryani spice. But this one is different and the chef must be very thoughtful about the taste where the fresh gongura is tossed in boneless chicken gravy and just layered on top of biryani rice.
5/5 - Gongura chicken biryani. Outstanding
3/5- Vijayawada special chicken biryani
Other biryanis tasted normal and nothing special. I would go to this restaurant just to try gongura chicken biryani and nothing else. - D C.Mission Viejo, CA18230108Apr 3, 2024
For the price it is certainly lot of options. There is beer included but no one tell you about that. There is bottle on the table if you want you can open it and drink. If you don't know then you miss out so if you going to have a beer make sure you open that bottle. Same goes with Nan. There is no service at all, no one comes to your table except to clean up the table. So make sure you grab everything.
Many of the food items are salty. Lot is salty. It's like someone accidentally dropped a whole bottle.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Redmond M.Oxnard, CA2511651Jan 21, 2024
One of my go to Indian Restaurants!
This place can get really busy! I've gone when their lunch hours opened up and the place filled up quick.
Parking can be scare at times, depending when you arrive.
Their lunch buffet is the best I have experienced here in the bay! (Beer included in buffet pricing)
Outside of their sit down restaurant, I enjoy ordering their takeout. You get a lot of food for the price you pay. Flavor is on point and portions are enough for 2-3 meals. Beware, their spice levels are real. I ordered spicy and I'm telling you, it was hot!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 1072791069Jul 7, 2023Updated review
I recently came to know that they have restarted buffets on the weekends and I wanted to try them.
I and my family went on Sunday around 11'o clock and it was pretty empty. The owner asked us to check the buffet items before paying, which I didn't expect. That was really nice of him.
We immediately started eating and the buffer items list was very huge. They have both vegetarian, non vegetarian and different desserts. They have fresh naan's in an thermal box and they keep on refilling it whenever it gets empty. My favorites are fish fry, dahi vada(fried dumpling in an yogurt), biryani's, sambar with white rice, bread halwa and gulab jamun. They also serve beer and wines as well.
The restaurant gets busy with the time so I would suggest come early. They do clean plates from the table time to time.
Overall I had very good experience and will definitely try it again.Helpful 8Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 1Nov 27, 2018Previous reviewThis review is for the food catering (TO GO) on my baby shower. They have a promotion from Sep to Dec on food orders for a minimum of 20 people @12$ / person Vegetarian or 14$ / person Non-Vegetarian. They have a fixed menu 2 appetizers, 3 veg curries, veg biryani, naan, rice, sambar and dessert.
I have ordered Baby Corn Manchurian, Samosa Chat, Naan, Paneer Butter Masala, Brinjal Curry, Bindi Fry, Veg Biryani, Rice, Sambar, Carrot Halwa, and Raita. All these are 12$ per person. I have ordered for 20 people, so it was 240$.
The food was delicious and the quantity was more than enough. Carrot Halwa and Paneer Butter Masala were the best.
Food: 4Jan 22, 2018Previous reviewMe and my friends went for lunch buffet on weekend. The price of the buffet is 13.99$ + tax. The special here is UNLIMITED BEERS, included in lunch buffet. They also serve a basket of butter naan's to the table.
The food was good, my personal favorites are biryani's as they are spicy and tasty.
Buffet includes different appetizers like baby corn, pav bhajji, vada. They have biryani's, chicken 65, chicken curry and some vegetarian dishes. They also have mango lassi and tea.
The restaurant is located in a complex and parking is not a problem. The ambience is ok and tables are arranged very close each other. It is little congested.

This is a Bay Area Indian gem for South Indian food . Their biryanis are authentic and made fresh every day . The food might be a bit spicy for the uninitiated. They have great buffet on the weekends which gets super crowded . They fill the food pretty quickly and have many options . The restaurant is also well maintained .

Do NOT eat here, do NOT order from here. Thank GOD I chew my food. I was chomping on a staple that was IN the butter chicken.
I tried calling to give them a proper notification but no one answers after several attempts. So here I am leaving this message. I'll most likely be escalating this to county for public food safetyHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2
