Cart closed (available for on-site mobile catering and events,) but check us out downtown at 460 Willamette Street in the back of the Lane Building starting again in May! Smoking hot, creative Vegan and locally raised organic meats. Handcrafted sandwiches, soups, rice bowls, salads and hand crafted pasta baked dishes for lunch on the University of Oregon campus! Don't forget to try cult favorite 'Almost Famous' Meatballs, available both traditional and vegan, with house marinara and the otherworldly Texas BBQ Townes Van Zandtwich with apple slaw and fried red onions! Q:
Do they have gluten free bread options or other gluten free items that are vegan?
A:
Totally! There are really good rice wraps that are loaded like the sandwiches and set up like a giant roll up. And huge salads in addition to rotating Vegan GF specials and desserts.

This order is from the food truck and let me tell you, I was a very happy camper! The operators (owners?) are super nice and the food is delicious! I ordered the vegan (vegetarian?) Supafly Snuka which is billed as an egg roll sandwich. My coworkers got the regular Supafly Snuka and the Chicken Bacon Ranch.
The Snuka was delicious and the tofu, I don't know how they got that super chewy, almost tough, texture but it was great! The filling to bread ratio was perfect! My only complaint is how much mayo was globbed onto the ends of the sandwich (also it was so rich I had to give the other half to my hubby; this is good because he enjoyed it too!). The other Snuka sandwich was billed as great; the Chicken Bacon Ranch was just "ok", the filling to bread ratio was the biggest complaint (and I would be inclined to agree, comparing between my sandwich and hers).
One of the best parts about this food truck is that they have veggie/vegan options and that warms my little veggie heart I'd love to try some of their other offeringsHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

A foodie friend told me to come here and try their hot Chicago style Italian beef. Glad I did. Thin sliced beef in a slightly sweet savory brown gravy, with a healthy smear of spicy-pickled giardinera condiment. A tiny little hole in the wall down an alley next to Black Wolf Supper Club. Very friendly folk, a little off-beat and fun. Lots of interesting sandwiches, next time I'll try their "famous" meatball sub. Can't wait!

Hey Brandon! Bummer we missed you! Being on campus, our summer schedule aligns with the University while we're still new and figuring business out. We post updates on all our social media channels, but understand your discontentment (even if docking us on a rating feels pretty brutal, having brought our overall public standing a whole star! It's especially ugly because that's how this forum unscrupulously extorts small businesses like our cart to pay hefty rates to uncover positive reviews and be ranked fairly!) Sharing honest experiences online can help facilitate that growth and encourage expanded busines hours. I'll still buy you lunch sometime though if you decide to come back and give us a try, and if for some reason you miss us, don't forget our awesome neighbors at Cart de Frisco and Sweet Basil Express just up the block! Stay cool!
Aug 7, 2019Previous reviewPretty simple, called and went to voicemail saying they were open and busy. I rode my bike there and they were closed, rode my bike home and called and went straight to voicemail. Idk if they are still open?!? Was pretty excited to try it, guess I wont.

Oh my god, those meatballs. I dream about them when I go to long without stopping by...it's serious.
Everything they make is beyond delicious and makes you insistent that you get back there soon for more, even more so now that they have delivery (though generally I just park right in front while they make my lunch because service is really quick.)
The corporate catering menu is amazing as well, which is great because now we get them for our meetings too and it's easy and convenient.
Pro tip: Try the Uncle Buck!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Bridget D.San Jose, CA592Oct 22, 2021
So delicious! I got the broccoli grilled cheese (not vegan) and it was incredibly flavorful. It was ready quickly and easy to find with big signs out front.

Screamin' Jays is AMAZING! They have tons of really delicious vegan options and are as kind as can be. We had them scheduled to cater our wedding, but due to Covid-19 it wqas cancelled. We had a delicious, all-vegan customized menu picked out. We were bummed but Fiona and Screamin' Jays were extraordinarily kind and understanding about this cancellation. They went above and beyond our other vendors. I can't say enough good things about their customer service and food! Check them out :)

I'm from the Midwest, where there's a sandwich shop in every shopping center, so I was overjoyed to find Screamin' Jays. Just like home. Their sandos are so good, with a lot of great homemade ingredients, filling portions, extremely friendly service, and accommodating to most dietary needs. I usually get the vegan versions of the sandwiches and they're all delicious. Also the potato salad is wonderful.

Stopped in Eugene on our journey down the 5 fwy and it took a bit to find this little window but it was worth the search. Great service and delicious sammies. Love that bread and the vegan meatballs were yum. I'd make sure to stop here again next time we roll through the city.

Screamin' Jays always knows how to ding a ding dang my dang a long ling long. Their sammiches are the tits and their dad jokes are Sub -Genius level. My only humble suggestion would be to maybe add some Alligator Wine to the menu.
