I made a purchase in January of scrubs that needed to be ordered and arrived damaged and was later told they never arrived. When I called today (over a month after ordering) I was told they wouldn't arrive until May. When I asked for a refund they refused despite not having my item or ability to get it in a reasonable time.

I would like to preface this with, I don't believe I have ever written a negative review for a company as I only like to do it for my positive experiences. I am also aware that mistakes can be made and people can have bad days and I have also worked in several jobs where I had to deal with dissatisfied customers, which is why I usually choose not to write a bad experience. With this being said, the way I was treated today was so unprofessional and uncalled for and I have never been treated so poorly. I was even hung up on. April 10th, 2023 I had a wonderful experience inside the store with the employee who helped me. She had who I believe was her daughter with her. She was helpful and kind and it was overall a very pleasant experience. There were a pair of scrubs that were not in store and needed ordered--no problem, they told me they would call me when my scrubs arrived in 1-2 weeks. Over a month goes by, which I held off on calling because I understand how covid has affected products and maybe it was on back order. After more time, I called to check on the status of my order. First, they couldn't find my order and did not know what I was talking about. Eventually they realized the order was never placed. Again, I told them it was no problem, mistakes happen! Again, they would call when they arrived. Well, by the time they arrived, my preceptorship was over and I had moved two hours away. They called me today and I asked if they could mail them to me as I am no longer in the area. This is when things went bad as the woman on the phone said there was no record of this happening and that there was NO way a mistake was made as her employees "document everything". While I'm sure they prioritize this procedure, mistakes do happen and to call a customer a liar (over a pair of scrubs, at that) is horrible and highly offensive. I kept calmly telling her I was fine with the fact the mistake was made but it was not my fault it happened and would like them delivered to my new address. She went on to tell me that they "do not have the staff to mail an order" and that she can't "just leave the store to mail you your order". Additionally, she said when her other employee returned from maternity leave she "might be able to" but that I would be responsible for paying for the shipping. I proceeded to tell her that I do not find it fair to pay extra money for shipment for a mistake they made again. Again, very VERY rudely, she told me there was no evidence of this happening and that there is no way it did. I kept explaining that I was not upset and that I am not lying about a pair of scrubs. In the end, she told me she would NOT be mailing my scrubs and said "we will call you another time" and HUNG UP on me before I could even respond. I am sorry but this was disreputable, distasteful, and inexcusable. I hope this is a lesson for Scrubs 941 to do better, implement proper customer service training, and humble themselves. EVERY company and person makes mistakes. We are human and innately flawed. To accuse a customer of lying (for no benefit of my own) is, simply put, disgusting.
(SIDE NOTE): the owner's response to my google review said it's better if "irate" customers don't return... at no point in that phone call was I anywhere near "irate". I was not surprised as all of her responses to dissatisfied customers are incredibly rude. Additionally, she tried claiming that I hung up, but I have read similar reviews where she hung up on other customers. Good selection of scrubs. Great helpful staff. Very patient and helpful as I needed a specific color and brand of scrubs for work.

Customer service was great and their selection of scrubs was by far the best around. Plus they are open on weekends which is very helpful. I'll be a returning customer!! Thank you

The owner is super helpful and nice but she is hardly there. She needs to consider hiring someone who has a background in customer service. What happened to "the customer is always right?" The "manager" argues with you whether it be over the phone or in person. She is by far the rudest person I have come across in service. Will never return to this place again and I'll be sure to tell all my nursing colleagues the same!

Sorry we did not respond to your review earlier. We moved and changed names to better serve our customers. The owner is onsite everyday. We apologized but at the time she had a 1 year old to tend to and were working on selling our home to move closer to the store.

I would NOT walk in that place again. My employer asked me to go try on a particular scrub top and bottom so they would know what size to order me. The lady in that shop was so RUDE!! She was not the least bit pleased that I had to try on a particular Koi top stating their shop it set up by color and not brand, which is incredibly frustrating!! Then she asks who I work for so she could call my boss and let him know to not just send people in randomly and that I should have called first. Call first to try on one scrub top and one scrub bottom?? Get outta here you rude lady.

I am sorry you were frustrated by our layout but our store is setup by color in order to best meet the needs of our customers. Over 80% of the customers who walk through our doors are required to wear specific colors. This layout also allows us to offer the largest selection of in stock inventory available for sale in the Sarasota/Manatee area which translates to lower everyday prices than our competitors. We stock over 5,000 tops and bottoms. Also, it makes no sense for us to call your employer to ask they not send customers to our store. On the contrary, employers who need certain styles coordinate with us so that we carry the style and color in stock. We also offer special pricing and discounts to these employers and their employees. We also visit offices with inventory on hand for their convenience. You did not have a style number which made it virtually impossible to determine what you were looking for. We would have called your employer to obtain a style number. The manufacturers we work with regularly change their product lines and something that may have been available last season may now be discontinued. A style number is required in order to pinpoint what you were looking for and not waste anyone's time looking for discontinued product.

I was not frustrated by the layout. I was frustrated by asking for help and not getting any. The owner's reply made excuses for the staff. Maybe this store works for others, it does not for me.

We stock over 5,000 tops and bottoms. We are a small business. Our store is mannened by very knowledgeable employees over 95% of the time. They deliver a truly personalized experience. But they too need to eventually rest, and we occasionally have less knowledgeable part time help assist.
Feb 17, 2018Previous reviewDo yourself a favor, go some where else. They are rude and unhelpful here. They organize by color, and if you ask for a particular brand, you have to sort through to find it... The in store rep was not knowledgeable.
