Seikaku Sushi & Steak

I give this place a 3.5! The food was nice and fresh and very tasty. They had lots of options on their menu to choose from. The staff was very nice and helpful as well. Although there were some downsides. They were out of steak and tofu and it's quite odd when a steakhouse is out of steak. The sushi also took a little while to come out. The music style in this restaurant played clubbing music rather than your typical restaurant music. My guest and I were not a fan. Moreover, this is your typical sushi restaurant and I would recommend it to others.

OMG! We found our new sushi spot in Duneden! Super cute vibe. Very friendly employees. Incredible sushi! It was very unique incredibly delicious and obviously fresh! We will be back. Probably within a day or two, LOL

We were very pleasantly surprised by this place. I wasn't sure about it based on its outward appearance, but staff was so friendly and welcoming! They took special care to make my three-year old feel really special and played dinosaurs with him. We especially liked our server, Chelsea. The rest of the staff were all very attentive and the service was top notch.

We loved the food, too! They have some really unique and delicious sushi offerings. I've been searching for a GREAT sushi experience since moving to the Dunedin area and this one is definitely on the top of our list! Thanks for an awesome experience and we'll be coming back again real soon!

A little hidden gem! Beautiful presentation and so incredibly tasty! We ordered the tuna nachos, spicy tuna roll, oasis roll, surf and medi roll and a few other items. Everything was EXCELLENT!

The BEST sushi in this area. Plus. If you have friends that don't like sushi
They have steaks and chicken and salmon etc. and great wines

Had high hopes till we met our waitress who we will call "I'm Sorry" We had a reservation and they got us in which was nice but that's were the excitement ended.

We had such bad service with the staggering of apps being 20 minutes apart to the steamed gyoza actually coming out fried with a crispy burnt edge and they were cold in the center to my Mrs getting her meal 20 minutes prior to my two rolls coming out.

Once I got the Osprey nest cleared of the entanglement of the stale noodles the sushi was okay but I was still stuck in the fact that the couple that sat down after us by a good 30 minutes got there rolls before hand while the table next to us wasn't delivered one of their rolls and the weiteres finally brought it out as they were readily to leave explaining that they took it from another table that had order it so they could get the roll.

The best Part of the actually meal was the edamame which was cooked perfectly but the rest of it was just okay. Besides the service being less than stellar the parking can be an issue especially with the music on Friday nights in Weaver Park.

Just had the most delicious date night dinner at Seikaku...we ordered the clear soup, ginger salad, a Surf-n-Medi roll, a lollipop roll and a Meggs roll. Erin provided excellent service and made us feel so comfortable with all of the Covid precautions. The rolls were creative, fresh and really tasty! It was such a delicious surprise...all of the standard roll options were available but they added original specialty rolls that I've never seen anywhere else and were amazing! House pino was ice cold and delish as well! Two thumbs up...Highly recommend!!

Every time I visit things are better than the visit before. Try my current faves: the Blue Jay Tempura Roll and the Surf n Turf Roll. I love this place.
This restaurant is what it's all about: newer restauranteurs with a locally owned and operated venue in a competitive market. The food is creative and high quality. Come try them out. Also...If you're into dessert ask about the strawberry cheesecake cake roll...it is the last thing that I should eat...but it was decadently delicious. I will be back. Stay tuned.

its was good. sushi was fresh. It's a smaller place. If you want fresh sushi check it out. Our second order came put a little slower, but overall I would go back. The Wasabi crusted Ahi was amazing. Surf and turf and Osaka roll were awesome. The ahi nachos were good as well.

What a beautiful restaurant. Clean and nicely decorated. The food was excellent. Sushi is phenomenal! Try the spicy salmon Hand roll!!
