Seis Vecinos is my go-to taco spot. I eat here 2-3 times a week whether through Uber Eats or sitting in and they NEVER disappoint.
Service 10/10
The staff is friendly and kind. They go out their way to make sure they get your order right (there's sometimes a language barrier so please be patient and respectful) and if there's ever any issues, they have no problem correcting it. Food comes out fast and they are super accommodating in terms of customizing orders to your liking.
Ambiance 10/10
Restaurant reminds of a scene from a traditional Mexican rustic movie. It has a lot of space so it's perfect for a family or work gathering or even a cute date. Multiple TV's are also on display and they are happy to put on whatever sport you want to watch (Basketball for me ;) ) I love that they take the time to decorate the restaurant based on whatever holiday is close. We're a week from Valentines Day and the restaurant is decked out in red hearts
Food 9/10
In my humble opinion, Seis Vecinos has some of the best tacos in the Bronx. My go to are the chicken and steak tacos. They are tender, juicy and packed with authentic flavor. I've also had the chicken taco bowl and it is such a large helping. Another one of my favorties are the Colombian rice and beans. The pinto beans are super flavorful and always made fresh. Another thing I'd like to add is that in addition to being delicious, the food is affordable. $3.50 a taco? Sign me up!
Drinks 8/10
While I'm not a super heavy drinker, they have a great red sangria and they don't miss with their pina coladas. I always leave full and feeling nice! They also offer drinks to go which I love!
All in all, I love Seis Vecinos! They are a great Mexican restaurant, ran by good people. I'd recommend them over and over again. 9/10 in total.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Judah Y.New York, NY271Jan 20, 2024
I had high hopes for this place but was disappointed. The food looked great but wasn't as flavorful as it could've been and a little overpriced.
The pollo frito, which came highly recommended, was average at best. It was assertively unremarkable -- you'd do better getting chicken at your regular neighborhood spot.
The surf and turf is a rip-off. It's $42 for skirt steak and four jumbo shrimp. Again, nothing remarkable.
The tortilla and guacamole were tasty but, again, it's nothing to write home about.
what I really didn't like about this place is that they automatically add gratuity (party of three) without notice and then try to get you to add a tip on top of that. When you do that, you're dead to me. Never shall I return to your establishment. It is finished.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 18, 2024
My lunch was pre-arranged here as part of a work trip. It was lovely. Cozy, friendly service and fresh guacamole made right away at the table. Lots of options (perhaps too many options, I couldn't decide!) I took a leap of faith and ordered the sopa de marisco (mixed seafood soup) thanks to my memory of an old episode of Parts Unknown-thanks Anthony Bourdain! It was incredible! Hope to return the next time I'm in the Bronx.

I have ordered and dined-in at this restaurant plenty of times over the last ten years going as far back as when they had the restaurant on 149th and Tinton Ave. Food is great and delicious but today I had a bad experience with their online order through Ubereats. I now understand that Uber has their own promotions but when a customer call the restaurant and is wondering where the promotion food did arrive meaning the BOGO. Then the restaurant should honor the promotion and give the customer the food. When I spoke to the lady over the phone is was adamant on not honoring the promotion and said for me to take with Uber. For me to get my money back which is NOT what I wanted. I wanted the food. I'm very disappointed with their customer service. This has never been an restaurant that I disliked but with today's service I'm probably not going for awhile. I hope that the owner fixes this and doesn't have this happen again.

I ordered here last night with some friends and didn't have the best tasting food.. I do compliment that I was happy about the timing.
We ordered flautas, horchata, tamarind juice and tacos. I will say the timing of the order was great, but I rather my food take a little longer if it means it will be prepared better.
For starters, the tacos were fantastic and the meat well seasoned. The flautas, however, were soggy because they had beans covering them. They didn't taste good and my horchata tasted nothing like a usual horchata.
I recommend the tacos of this place 8/10. I hope the flautas in the future don't contain beans.
In the area, this is as good as it may get. I trust them more than other restaurants around.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Hernidia G.Bronx, NY95179Aug 27, 2023
Seis vecinos is a great choice if your looking for great food and drinks! The service is always great with waiters always being very attentive and the food coming out very quickly. The passion fruit margarita was mixed just right and it had a great ambiance for a Saturday night. Definitely will return.

I've read other reviews and I decided to go.Everyone was accurate. The food was phenomenal, excellent customer service and satisfying tasty drinks. This is a hidden gem. Inside was decorated for Halloween/ Fall.
What I didn't like : My waitress was trying to up sell. For example, suggestions of extra shot in my drink. I am willing spend money regardless. Please don't persuade me.
There was no heat in the restaurant. I had to keep my sweater and coat on while enjoying my dinner.
Overall , I do recommend to bring money and expect to spend it. It is worth it though. I guarantee thatHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Tamara L.Brooklyn, NY1405346Mar 25, 2023
I came here recently because I have always wanted to try Seis Vecinos. It was my cousin birthday, so we decided to go. The restaurant is a nice size and can definitely accommodate a large group. Our waitress was great! The food was good. However, the drinks are a little on the expensive side. They sang Happy Birthday to my cousin and also placed the large sombrero on her head. It was cool. I love Honduran and Salvadoran foods. I got the pollo con tajadas( pollo chuco). It was actually a good choice!
