We visited Sette Osteria on a Friday to enjoy Italian night with some good food and drinks! This was the only place that was accepting large parties and hence we picked up Sette Osteria. We started off with some complimentary freshly baked bread and ordered a Rigatoni, veggie pizza and a side of sautéed mushrooms. My friend also ordered a seafood platter, that included salmon, and shrimp and calamari. My friends also ordered a Pinot and red wine which they said complimented well with the food. Everything tasted good, the Rigatoni was creamy and had a tint of spiciness which I enjoyed!
Overall, a decent place if you're looking for good food and drinks.
P.S. We did not know that there are two locations for Sette Osteria, so make sure to confirm which one you're booking as we messed up a bit with our planning! :)Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - Wl G.Charlotte, NC3097131Mar 9, 2024
The staff is rude, they do not care at all. We sat for over 20 minutes and no one came to our table, we had to hunt down staff..... then we order a bottle of wine and it took 30 minutes to bring the bottle over. My husband ordered a vodka soda, orange slice, they brought limes... no big deal. He reminded the server and they brought the orange slice AFTER he finished the drink.
Btw if you want to have a conversation, you will be yelling.
Horrible
Oh and at an Italian restaurant, no complimentary bread.
ID NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
Oh and the manger was so worried about filming the crowded restaurant instead of helping his employees. Idk why people come hereHelpful 2Thanks 2Love this 3Oh no 2 - 8773061506Apr 24, 2024
Came here to have dinner with our group of five since there was no wait. the place was spacious and had a cute interior. the staff was nice and attentive. However, the food lacked flavor and taste quite a bit. Unfortunately the food was not hot evenly and the flavor was just OK. The linguine and clams had no taste. That was really disappointing Is my go to order normally in Italian restaurant. The muscles were my favorite. Good sauce and flavor.

Sette DuPont Circle is one of two locations in Washington, DC, and has been in The District for many years now. They just renovated the DuPont location and it lis very nice. The staff is kind and attentive and the menu has an extensive range of options from pasta to pizza and a variety of Italian classics. I ordered the Cavatelli All'Indiavolata and ate the whole bowl. It was the perfect amount of pasta for price. We can't wait to return soon!

Planned a relaxing dinner for Friday evening on my visit to DC at Sette Osteria. Initially my friend and I booked two separate reservations for a large party without realizing at their two different locations. But the restaurant staff was very accommodating to update our reservation upon our arrival. Overall service was nice and welcoming. We ordered Rigatoni pasta with a side of wild mushrooms, veggie pizza, grigliata from their seafood section. Everything tasted pretty good. Their drinks menu had a good collection of wine. I had Pinot Grigio white wine. It def complimented the flavors in pasta and elevated my overall Italian dining experience!

The menu is pretty extensive for happy hour so we were excited to check it out. We started with drinks and I got the white sangria which was pretty good. When we were ready to order food they mentioned they aren't making any pizzas or calzones which led us to believe they were maybe out of dough? We didn't get anymore detail for a reason why but no pizzas took out about 70% of the happy hour menu foods which was disappointing.
I ended up ordering the gnocchi which wasn't bad. I had a yelp offer for free Nutella bites that they couldn't make either which is why we speculated they were out of dough. We ended up getting the tiramisu which was pretty good.
I don't think I got the full experience since they had a very limited menu so I hope to come back and try more soon.Helpful 3Thanks 3Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aquene F.Washington, DC19444Jan 20, 2024
The food is good, service is good. But the lunch portion of pasta is not worth the price ~$24 with gf noodles. The meatball app is also pretty small. I got it as an entree for my 6 year old who is not a big eater and it wasnt enough either. I was so hungry and I would have been famished if my lunchmate hadnt shared her fries. The panini portion size in contrast js good. I shouldn't spend $60 for two women and a little kid for lunch with no drinks and still be hungry.
I would give it three stars except I didn't complain and give them a chance to rectify the situation. That said, I think this is their standard practice for portions so I am not sure what they would have done.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 16, 2023
Solid spot for happy hour! I'd definitely come back for happy hour. Kind of a bummer we came for the specials and they didn't have any of them...but still gave us the menu and then when we tried to order the specials, that's when they told us they didn't have any (kind of annoying). The pizza is so good. The pasta was ok. We also got the Nutella bites for free for checking in on yelp (so cool). And the zucchini bites were tasty! Service was ok and atmosphere was great (although I don't recommend sitting outside).

I was walking in the area and saw the menu outside and was like ok this sounds good.
Restaurant was not that crowded. Although I was promptly greeted and offered a seat, that's when the good service stopped. I was the only diner at the bar for the majority of my visit and service was very slow. I ordered the lasagna and it was very oily. Nothing spectacular about it. I saw there was a free Yelp check offer for Nutella bites. They were very messy and covered in nutella. I believe the same bread is also served if you order bread and butter.
Unfortunately, I can not recommend this business.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kathy W.Rancho Santa Margarita, CA504228380Feb 9, 20241 check-in
The food and service was amazing. They took such good care of my large group! We are so thankful and excited to come back next time we are here bout Server Mirjana M was great, told us the popular dishes and she was spot on for me. Everyone loved their dishes. Great pre wedding night (as guests) for us! I no only got a picture of my food since everyone else started eating before this foodie could get pics.
