John installed my heating system 3+ years ago and it was a good experience. Last year, a component broke (due to roofing installation) and I asked them for help fixing it, and they promised to call back to schedule a time. Then just stopped picking up my calls or answering texts.

Fast forward to now, I'm finally getting to the permitting for the system and I had another company work on the permitting as I had doubts about this company's workmanship (as told to me by 2 other different HVAC companies last year who had provided a quote for the broken component) and lack of response and was told a lot of the work was not done to code. It cost $1775 to fix.

He's a super nice guy and all and even put in a metal stand for my heater and removed an old cabinet for me when doing the initial installation. But I'm super annoyed right now.

Our A/C went out on Monday night during the heatwave. I called 20 people who couldn't schedule me for 2-3 days and then spoke to Nina who could schedule me later that day. She and John were running a little behind because they were so busy and arrived at 8pm and had me back up and running by 9:30pm. They had 4-5 more appointments to go to that night! They did a great job and were very knowledgeable. Our pup was glad the AC was working again.

Our heater had some debris stopping it from functioning properly and John came right out! Not only did he fix the issue, but he explained what the issue was in a clear, concise manner without overcharging me. Thank you!!!!

My AC stopped working right before the Great Labor Day Heat Wave of 2022. John and Nina worked me into their busy schedule even though I was up in San Mateo. They identified the problem (a bad capacitor) immediately and installed a new capacitor with a hard start kit, which should give my 10-year-old compressor some extra longevity. I will definitely call them for any future issues. It's rare to see such care and dedication to helping people in distress.

John is always responsive and provides the best guidance and support.

He installed our AC unit back in 2017 and since then has been our main guy for anything AC or HVAC.

My AC went out at 4pm and after calling 7 other "24 hour HVAC" companies who told me they wouldn't be able to get to me for a couple days, I called Jonathan and Nina at SVC.

They came the same night and stayed until the morning hours to identify the problem and implement a fix. It required them to come back a few ours later due to the blower needing soaking for cleaning. They called me and provided updates as when they would be back. When they came back they completed the job quickly and with very fair pricing.

Jonathan and Nina came to my house wearing masks and were respectful of our no shoes in the house rule(we have a baby).

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their AC fixed or repaired. They were both very meticulous with their work and it shows that they take pride in the quality of work they produce.

I will definitely be calling them again for my HVAC needs.

John installed a complete AC and heating system for me. He does excellent work. He is very thorough, pays close attention to detail, is easy to work with and his prices are competitive. The only downside is scheduling, since John is a one man company, sometimes the job previous to yours runs longer than anticipated which affects John's arrival time to your job. This wasn't an issue with me because I am retired and John and I agreed ahead of time that either of us could reschedule at the last minute. If you don't have that kind of luxury then you might want to include some kind of clause in the contract regarding arrival times, if the work requires more than one visit.

Amazing company. Other people we called couldn't schedule us till days later, and wanted to charge insane prices for the diagnosis of our ac, and wouldn't tell us the cost of parts and recharge. Nina knew her stuff, scheduled me for same day, and her and John fixed our ac in an hour. They were wonderful people, more thorough then any other hvac company we've had come out years prior, and didn't try to trick us into products we didn't need. They were upfront honest and friendly, and I would recommend them to anyone having ac problems.

Silicon Valley Comfort is the Best Best Best for dong any HVAC services including mini split system. To be honest, I have called so many different HVAC services and most of them lacked of the technical knowledge for Japanese Mini Split system. John and Nina always take an extra time to explain what could be a better way to install and suggest different options for the customer to save money. First time John and Nina came to look at my mini-split system, and I can tell they are an expert for installing it, no matter it is US version or Japanese. My mini-split system is 2-zone LG Japanese version, John and Nina are very patient and they carefully walked through my ADU (Accessory Dwelling Units like apartment) and give me their opinion/thoughts/option for installing it. John basically will guide you through what/how to do it for entire installation (requires Control Unit, Condensed, Lineset, Power Line, Water line etc.) and will explain the customer an option what the customer can do it them self to save money. With John's guideline, I was able to install 2 control units and run the linesets, powerlines and waterlines my self, and leave the rest for John to help to finish it. This saved me a lot of labor and money for this installation. John was even given me an extra lineset for free as one of my lineset was few feet short, very nice installation and works well.

The installation was so great and good, but my mini-split system needs to be going through the city inspection. Unfortunately, my mini-split system was failed, it is not because of the installation or anything, it was that stupid building code that requires to use tamper resistant cap (locking cap) for the valve on the condense unit.

And, I have very hard time to find the right size for my system, I tried many many different place, and still couldn't find it. And most people doesn't know what they are. I called John again for help, John and Nina were trying to help finding it, Nina tried to get me at least 2 times for the tamper resistant cap, but no success. John and Nina did not leave you alone, John and Nina was spending an extra time to help even though it is so hard to find. I met Nina at least twice and got different size of the caps, however none of them were fit for my system. Then, John came again with his big HVAC truck. At the beginning, John show me a lot of different size of the tamper resistant cap, but all of them are still too small. I can tell Japanese version of mini-split system is kind a hard to get the right size in US. But John didn't give up for helping, John spent extra almost an hour again to help me find the cap from his HVAC truck, luckily John found the right size for me finally and those were fit perfect for my system. NOTE: John and Nina were helping for Free after the installation, John even gave me those hard to find tamper resistant cap for free. John and Nina 's service are the BEST BEST BEST and I am very impressive for their service. Thank you John and Nina again.

At last, I want to say that you could see John's passion for helping people and not only just making money for his business, this kind of service that I couldn't see anywhere else. John and Nina are just like your close friend who is willing to spend extra time, extra effort to help you. This is my second time calling Johnny to help with our HVAC needs. He fixed our A/C unit when it failed this summer and most recently he fixed our furnace which started dripping profusely.
