Solid Nails

Simple, straightforward and speedy! I came in without an appointment around 4 on a week day and was seen within 20 minutes. I was a little put off by the gentleman who checked me in, as I think he was on his break but then appeared to be done and didn't work with me but had me wait til one of the women was done with someone else. Maybe take the break out of sight?

My nail stylist Allie was very friendly. She asked my name and was curious about me, but was also kind and quiet when I wanted to just relax. She did a great job with my nails. I felt like everything used was clean and well kept! If I wasn't from out of town I would probably come back, but would make an appointment!

I visited the nail shop on July 5, 2023. When I arrived, they asked about my desired services, and I requested a fill and pedicure. After choosing a color, I had to wait for about 10 minutes before they called me for the pedicure. The woman who performed the pedicure was decent, but I had to repeatedly ask her to cut my nails shorter, and she seemed to struggle with understanding my preferences. The pedicure itself was okay, but the foot and leg massage was lacking.

On the other hand, the guy who worked on my nails was friendly and easy to talk to. He fixed one of my nails and skillfully sculpted the acrylic, but he overlooked checking the lengths of all my nails. I had to point out a few that were noticeably longer and request that he file them down.

Overall, my experience was just okay. I didn't feel rushed like some shops have made me feel but I didn't feel a strong connection to the place either. I will continue exploring other options to find a better fit.

Will not be coming back

This place is horrible. Three of my nails fell off after 10 days and they already look like they need a fill.
Not to mention the place is filthy.

I went to Solid Nails Friday night, 11/27/23 for a fill. When I got home I realized that the polish was not applied correctly. I returned Saturday at 9:30 am. The manager told the woman who did my nails the night before to correct them. She removed the polish, but then told me I had to wait to have the polish applied because she was working on someone else. I waited for 30 minutes for someone to correct the poor job that was done. I finally went to the front of the salon to ask how much longer. The little manager told me that I had to wait for all of the ppl who came in after me Before they would polish my nails. At that point, I told him that was ridiculous! Even his customer was trying to come up with a solution. The woman next to him finally said that she would polish my nails when she got done with the customer she was working on.
The manager in this salon is rude and unprofessional. If you value your time, your money, and feel you should be respected when you are patronizing a Business do not go to Solid in Nails in Independence.

Excellent service from Lisa. Lisa was very friendly and caring. I would recommend her for pedicures.

Horrible experience.

I wanted a gel manicure and pedicure. The lady used the electric file to remove my toe polish, digging into my actual nail. After I asked her to soak off the polish, she tried filing them more, and I again asked her to stop. She then scrubbed my heels with a cheese grater so hard my feet started to hurt. And I'm not sure why I let her continue but she then made me bleed doing my cuticles.

I stopped the mani pedi all together. No polish. And didn't even let her start on my fingers. They then charged me full price for a pedicure and said they were giving me $5 off for removing the polish. Is that a joke? You charge to take off polish?! AND charge full price when your client clearly was upset by the service. I choose find another nail salon.

I am visiting from out of state and needed some me time. The woman who did my mani and pedi was beyond sweet and polite. She took her time and did a great job of making sure I was comfortable and relaxed, and made sure I liked every part of my nail design. The other employees that I interacted with were also very nice. This was the single best experience I have had at any nail salon.

You receive the best customer service when appointments are scheduled in advanced. They have a vast variety of nail color selections to choose from. The salon provides a safe, clean and comfortable environment for your services.
