Sol's Chimney Sweep

We had Sol's come clean our dryer vent and refurbish our gas fire place in two different visits. Both the dryer vent and fire place had not been cleaned since we moved into our unit 3 years ago. Overall very pleased with the service and the team's professionalism. Gary patiently answered all my questions and made sure everything looked fine and was working properly! I spoke to Greg a couple of times to schedule the visits and the scheduling experience was quite hassle-free. It's no wonder that these guys have five stars on Yelp! Highly recommend!

Our carbon monoxide detector went off in the middle of the night and we found out that our chimney flue was totally blocked. I called Sol's in the morning and left a message, hoping they could fix the problem quickly. They called back within a few hours and were able to come and clear out our flue on the same day. They were super kind and professional, even when dealing with the unexpected squirrels that had taken up residence in our chimney!

On top of the quick response and fix, they quoted us for the further work that needs to be completed on our chimney in order to prevent this from happening in the future. They never once pressured us to set any further work up on the spot, and also advised us on what to request if we were gathering quotes from other contractors for this project to compare.

We had a really tremendous experience with Sol's. The gas company turned off our furnace and water heater because of carbon monoxide and told us our chimney was the problem. We booked Sol for chimney cleaning, and he came on his day off when he heard we didn't have heat. He quickly diagnosed that we didn't need a cleaning but rather a larger chimney liner, and they were able to install it for us the next day and turn our furnace and water heater back on. I really couldn't be happier with their expertise and service!

Greg and Rick did a wonderful job cleaning out out fireplace/chimney and our dryer vents. Both were very dirty. The fireplace had a small crack which they were able to repair on the spot. The grate was cleaned and repainted. The glass doors were left gleaming. They took great care to keep the mess at a minimum and cleaned up all areas before they left. Very pleased and will have them come back next year for our annual cleaning.

Sol was a lifesaver. We reached out to him because our water heater's exhaust path was blocked by a poorly repaired chimney.

Sol came to our home on the same day that we called. He explained the problem and implemented the repair immediately.

I will definitely be reaching out to him for help maintaining the two chimneys that are original to our home, but no longer in use for exhaust.

This company came out to our home today to sweep our chimneys and while here decided to help with a dryer vent issues we have been having (previous company we used couldn't get the job done). Sol and his brother are AMAZING! Not only is our chimney squeaky clean but our dryer finally works and all the lint has been cleaned out- refer to pictures- they definitely get the job done! They were very professional and definitely experts in these areas! I highly highly recommend using them (and this is coming from someone who has never left a yelp review before). Sol was so professional - answered my original enquiry promptly. Responded to my following questions as well. He confirmed appointment and was on time. Kept work area protected and was very neat and organized. Paid attention to the details and worked hard to get my damper repaired! Job well done! I have used them across multiple properties now. For cleaning of wood burning, rebuilding or installation of fake log gas set ups. Always pleased with their work. Reasonably priced. Recommended!

I was looking to install a chimney cap after a recent squirrel issue- it fell down the flue, was trapped in the exhaust vents for my water heater and furnace, and took a couple (of stressful) days to get it out.

Sol's Chimney Sweep was quick to respond for an estimate request, and offered fair pricing for the job. After scheduling an appointment, they called a day prior to confirm the appointment; and on the day of, they called when on their way and arrived on-time.

They asked some follow-up questions about the work requested, and then did a great job explaining what they were going to do when installing the chimney cap. While installing, they discovered a structural issue with the chimney crown and the surrounding tile- it wasn't flush together and left a gap between the 2 sections (basically a small space prime for animals to nest in).

After coming back down from the roof to show pictures and explain, they offered to seal off the gap. This part of the appointment shows that they take pride in their craft and want to ensure they do things the "right" way; whereas other companies may do what they came to do, and move onto the next job.

As they were wrapping up, they took more pictures to show the before/after of the work completed. This is obviously important as I have no business climbing/being on my roof (2 stories up).

Overall a good experience and would give Sol's Chimney Sweep my future business.
