MY EXPERIENCE WITH "SPEEDY TAX SERVICE"
I came into "Speedy Tax Service" to have my taxes prepared. I usually go to H&R Block or do them myself via Turbo Tax, however, I was having trouble adding my school information to my taxes so I decided that I would have someone prepare them for me. I came in as a walk-in it was kind of hard to decipher who where employees and who where customers. There where 4 ladies in the front I'm assuming they all work for "Speedy Tax Service" Two of four ladies in the front where having a very loud and unprofessional conversation with a customer. There was a lot of loud unnecessary side conversation going on while I was getting my taxes prepared.
It states that Kim was my tax preparer on my documents. She was unprofessional, she barely wanted to say hello, she was not inviting, friendly or engaging. She never formally introduced herself she just asked me to follow her to the back and sit right here. She did not take the time to explain what she was doing while she was preparing my taxes. She never stated this is how much I would be charged, she never asked did I want to set up direct deposit the only time she stated anything to me was when she asked me to sign or initial a paper that she briefly went over and she asked me did I want to apply for a loan. After she was done preparing my taxes she had a guy who I'm assuming is the owner of the company go over my taxes and add in my school information. At this time she starts watching TV on her "cellphone" as if I am not a customer sitting right next to her this type of behavior is rude and unprofessional. I sat there for a while listening to the ladies in the front talk about their personal relationships and looking around at the condition of the place which is terrible as much as this company charges to prepare taxes there is no way that building should look so run down. I eventually had to ask her what was going on because she was so indulged in her cellular device. I also had to ask her how much was I charged which was $480 and beware when you file your taxes here because there are another $140 or so more undisclosed taxes/charges that they will take from you. She did not tell me my Federal or State amount I had to call into the business and ask about that too. I've never experienced anything like this. I asked Kim co-workers in the front would I be receiving a packet of papers with all my information that I assumed everyone receives when they have someone else file their taxes, they explained to me that everybody does their stuff different and that I would receive my documents when I come in to pick up my check. I was told by the guy/owner to call in 2-3 weeks into February to check to see if my check had arrived.
Calling into this business is so difficult and trying. I dreaded calling this place the lady who always answers the phone tone is unprofessional she speaks as if she is always upset that you called and what she is saying is fine, it's how she says things that are so unprofessional. She's very quick to get an attitude with you when you call in and I feel she does this because she knows that she can get away with it. She is basically one of the main people responsible for distributing people their funds. Nobody that is in their right mind would want to be on anyone in this building bad side especially when they have access to your money. She really needs to learn how to speak to people I work at a hospital if she came or called my unit and I spoke to her the way she speaks to everyone she would have no understanding and would not be pleased. There are too many employees sitting around in that little run down building that could answer the phone and greet customers in a way more professional tone. Everyone in that place even the owner and his wife who are Indian (I assume) need to take a customer service class. They are allowing these women to come into their establishment and they are ruining it. I will never come back to this place and I will never refer anyone that I love or know to this place. You all need to get it together.
