This is a good place to grab a hero!!! The food always taste fresh and my order is always right! I like to call ahead when I'm on lunch and just stop by and pick it up.
Customer service is good I haven't had any complaints. Gets busy around luck Time so that's something else to consider when stopping by. They make hot and cold sandwiches and platters. I've only gotten turkey subs so I can't really tell you much about the other dishes minus the fact that my coworkers rave about their Cuban sandwich!
Cheapest place to eat in this area as well!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Matt H.Sterling, VA2619Aug 22, 2019
Cheap and easy place at which to eat. They offer Boar's Head meat, so the sandwiches are great.

I wouldn't shop here for groceries and stuff because it's pretty pricey, but they do make up for it in convenience if you live or work near here.
They seem to have most everything you need including a tiny section of produce.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Richard R.Redondo Beach, CA1460May 26, 2016
I purchased a sandwich of Boars Head deli ham, mortadela and provolone on rye for my flight home to L.A. It was exactly what I requested and fresh!! The young man was nice and the cost was about right. It also appears to be a modest grocery store (about 4 aisles).
Quick checkout and a smile. I recommend it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Deborah A.New York, NY40142204Jun 7, 2015
This place is only a block away from my job, so its extremely convenient. It is similiar to your typical NYC bodega(no bodega cat though....that I've seen ...lol)It has a little of everything. The sandwiches are fantastic, very tasty and very reasonable.I'm picky and I usually have a list of instructions on how i want my particular sandwich made and they never bat an I eye or give me attitude. The coffee here is also great...they used steamed milk...which in my opinion is how everyone should do it.
Marino is a darling and if he's available have him make your sandwich, there's always a little extra love thrown in!!!
And they accept debit/credit.....++++++++Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tony C.WV, WV46337074Oct 7, 2009First to Review
The Roast Pork was stale! Quite visibly, it sat for a few days, dried out, and hardened up. This did not taste good in my cuban. Although, they did give me a heaping portion, of stale roast pork, that is.
They pressed the cubans on their grill, however, it wasn't pressed enough to my liking. They need a panini press up in there.
The sandwich was a decent size, at a good price, but it wasn't fresh.
They could've had four stars. As a result of stale roast pork, one star.
Epic failure in epic proportions.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Annamarie T.Providence, RI277407139Aug 11, 2011
So it's way to early in the morning and I have some time to kill before I catch a bus at the Port Authority, clearly I am on a mission to find some delicious breakfast.
All I'm looking for is a bacon egg and cheese with a non microwaved egg, which surprisingly is not that easy to find in an area surrounded by chain fast food places. However after searching long and hard I find sugar deli, made to order eggs on a fresh toasted bagel how much more can one ask for. Simply delicious, my morning is officially made.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lindsey S.Brooklyn, NY014Aug 9, 2011
Sugar Deli is the JAM! I work around the corner and have a sandwich from the deli probably 3 days a week. In addition to awesome Boars Head deli meat sandwiches they will also make you a grilled chicken breast on a roll that would run you at least $9 anywhere else, here it's less than $5. I get it with grilled jalapenos and onions, melted cheese, and extra tomato, and when you say extra tomato you get EXTRA- the sandwich guy will make me a sandwich with almost a whole tomato on it. Huge variety and they are always up to the challenge of a custom sandwich.
Also good grocery selection, decent produce, a great place to throw together a huge lunch for under $10. The staff is friendly and accommodating- they started stocking my favorite kind of chips permanently at my request.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jon L.Brooklyn, NY58144227Feb 20, 2013
A little Brooklyn-or-Bronx style bodega/ mini market in Midtown West. You won't find Humus and other modern staples, but you will find okay vegetables, canned food, and the like.
Am-Pm on the next corner 37 is better stocked and fresher.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shane W.Queens, NY281503Mar 29, 2014
I live nearby and use this as my emergency/convenience store. Brooklyn Fare a block away is a far better grocery store, but they don't stock the cheaper things that you can find at Sugar Deli. If I just like OJ, some eggs, or some unhealthy snack foods, this is my go-to. If I need to do more substantial grocery shopping, I use Brooklyn Fare. But I prefer this place over Am-Pm because the operators are nicer/more polite and because Sugar Deli is a little cheaper than Am-Pm. I've never bothered to try the deli, because why bother with Esposito's two blocks away?
The only problem is it closes relatively early. I think 10pm?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
