I have been seeing Dr. Sun for 18 years now and as a reviewer said, I too go to him before going to a western-medicine doctor. He has helped me countless times over the years with different issued and I have also brought my two kids and even my husband to his practice, despite it not being close to where I live.
I love it, I recommend it but I recognize it's not for everyone. If you are the kind of person that needs an instant solution to cure the consequence (pain) instead of understanding the cause and dealing with it, in the spot or not; and if you are not open to different forms of medicine, it might not be for you. I love that he has different methods and will try chiropractic, acupuncture, cupping and other forms of healing, if needed.
After the pandemic, it became impossible to get an appointment b/c he was taking less patients and more spread out not too have too many people in the office at once but things have improved and you can even book online these days. https://www.sunchiropracticclinic.com/Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daniel H.Downtown, Atlanta, GA01Mar 24, 2023
I was recommended to Dr. Sun by long time clients for shoulder, neck, and knee issues from years of athletics compounded by a car accident. My father being an Orthopedic Surgeon I was skeptical to visit a "Voo-Doo Doctor" to say the least. However, after my first visit I feel 90% better and enjoyed my first night of restful sleep in months. i can't thank him enough!

Dr sun is the greatest. He will carefully explain everything as he does it and listen intently while asking questions that help define the treatment.
For me, two orthopedic surgeons said I needed major back surgery. They both said surgery may not help. A friend recommended Dr Sun. Two treatments and I'm fine. That was over 10 years ago. Thanks Dr Sun!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Regina S.Burbank, CA3152Feb 6, 2015
I now live in California, but for 15 years Atlanta was my home. For about 4 or 5 of those years , Dr Sun was my primary practioner. I would seek him out first, before heading to my "Western Medicine" GP....simply because I knew that they would be quick to write me a prescription for a pharmaceutical drug so as to treat my "symptoms". Dr Sun asks specific questions about what's going on with you as a whole, then administers a treatment designed to treat the underlying "cause" of your problem....not just your symptom.
Understanding that the Mind, Body, and Spirit are all one unit....working together all the time as a whole human being....I prefer Dr. Sun's methods of chiropractic and accupuncture care.
To give me a pill for my headache and chronic muscle pain isn't going to help me in the long term.
To give me medication to (maybe) alleviate my irritable bowl and digestive disorder isn't going to help me in the long term.
But to use accupuncture to get my chi moving again, flowing thru the body in an unobstructed fashion (the way Nature intended before our Lifestyles mucked it up) will definitely give me relief in the long term.
Our body's know how to heal. But the body does need a little help getting the obstacles to healing unblocked. Dr. Sun is an expert at that.
I'm looking for practioners who understand how to restore wellness. Not doctors who dole out an endless supply of pills in order to manage sickness.
If you believe in the MInd, Body, Spirit connection and you have a true innate desire to be Well......do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Sun.
If you think that's just a bunch of woo-woo nonsense.....do yourself and Dr Sun a favor and go somewhere else.
Best wishes to everyone on their own, personal healing journey.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lori F.Atlanta, GA209371147Sep 29, 2014
I have been seeing Dr. Sun for occasional acupuncture treatments that my specialists have not been able to relieve. With every ailment, he seems to have helped almost immediately or within 2 treatment sessions. He has a great personality and is very straightforward with his diagnoses.
The wait times for appointments have occasionally run longer than expected, but it's because he spends so much time talking with each patient to really understand the root of the problem before he prescribes any treatment - I appreciate that more than anything, so it is worth the wait.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Whitney M.Acworth, GA572Aug 17, 2019
Dr. Sun is the best! He was the only person who could help me start walking again after traumatic plantar fasciitis. He truly cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone.

I love Dr. Sun! I don't love the long wait and the lack of customer service by the front desk staff! The dr. Is always booked out so I have to make appointments in advance, This particular day of my appt. I had been calling the Office all morning the phone just rung and rung and sometimes it was just busy! I was thinking maybe they were closed and I shouldn't even drive down here.(cuz when I scheduled last week, secretary said dr. Had death in family and was oot) I get here and I'm like omg I didn't get any answer all day I was calling to ask about ins. She straight ignored all of that and was Like do u have an appt.? Like wtf?? People are good at what they do, but get so busy and booked they just disregard customer service skills, well not the Dr., but def. his staf

We lived in Atlanta for seven years and had the great fortune to be in the care of Dr. Sun. He was very important to everyone in the family and someone we could trust with just about any issue - physical or mental. If his was the typical face of medical care in the USA, we would be in great health rather than in the throes of an opioid epidemic. Dr. Sun is wise and uses logic and reason to help his patients understand what's really going on with them. We haven't found a replacement since moving to California in 2014. I don't expect we ever will! But we are grateful for the years we were in his care!

Dr Sun is a genuinely caring doctor, that wants to help his patients more than just make a quick buck. Dr. Sun will not set you up on a recurring visit schedule, and does everything in his power to fix you right while you are at his office. I had an issue where my knee hurt to the point that I needed to wear a brace everyday - to provide support. I thought I had a big issue, but after seeing Dr. Sun, he diagnosed me with an ankle that would not keep his adjustment - after 20 min of acupuncture (single visit), my knee pain began to subside and I have been able to work out and play tennis with zero pain!
