Great coffee, efficient, and friendly service. The coffee shop is well appointed and definitely has the relaxed coastal vibe. Great value compared to the Daily Grind's outrageous prices (although I love them as well).
Super friendly. Love dropping by and walking around the new shops and businesses.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 4, 2023
What a cute little coffee shop. We came right during the peak hour but they were very efficient with getting everyone's order taken and served. They call your order by alphabet letters instead of your name or order.
A lot of the patrons brought their dogs in with them and what's not to love about a dog in a coffee shop
We've been in town for 5 days and this was the best coffee that I've had by far in the island!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 29, 2023
Super impressed with this local coffee joint. It's super cute on the inside, decorated tastefully, clean and cozy with a back reading nook! We got two oat milk lattes, one with lavender and the other with a slightly spiced chocolate. Both taste fresh, not too sweet, and NOT artificial. Come here instead of Starbucks, any day! Outstanding coffee. And the pastries are amazing too. Friendly, authentic counter staff add to this A+ experience.

Came here on the first day of my family's trip to Surf City. My sister looked up coffee shops and stumbled upon Sundial. Women and locally owned? Yes please!
The lady behind the counter was super sweet, helped us with what drinks we were wanting, and made us feel welcomed. We waited for our drinks and it took less than five minutes. Super quick service as well.
The coffee shop was super nice, a lot of room for those to study, or just because. Very cozy feeling for sure.
My drink of choice is an iced dirty chai with caramel topped with their cold foam. It was absolutely delicious!! My dad's choice was a butterbeer frap with 1/2 cold brew and 1/2 almond milk base. We loved our orders so much we went back a second time during our trip.
If you're ever near them, GO. There isn't better coffee in Surf City!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kelsey D.Nashville, TN2073817Jun 11, 2023
I wish I could more accurately describe how much I love this coffee shop! Consistency is the name of the game here, and my drinks are made perfectly each and every time. The staff is friendly and the environment is always positive. They have the best baked goods and the rotating menu adds some razzle dazzle.
I love that they support Safe Haven and I happily will continue to hand over all my money for an iced butter beer latte. The only thing I would change is more merch and shirt options because I want to buy more!! Love this place!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 233941442Apr 15, 2023
This little coffee shop was such a pleasant surprise! Nestled in the plaza behind the Salty Turtle it has a decent amount of seating including a private room with a door and a small area with games, a couch and table! We stopped in a few different days and service was always on par and friendly. They were patient when we ordered and happy to explain the latte flavors and make recommendations! I tried the Butter Beer, also pistachio and the salty white whale- all were yummy! They also had local baked goods for sale and even logo merchandise which was super cute! Loved this spot and will be back when in the area again :)

WOW!
Parking lot. Ample parking! It's off a busy road heading to surf city beaches so if you call ahead give it ample time to get there.
Inside: I would've taken photos if it weren't so busy but I will tell you, you'll not be disappointed! A wonderful place to get a group together for a coffee meet up. A private (with doors and large screen tv!) meeting conference room type room! Another private section with beautiful royal blue couches and art. Desks to work. And a standard section with tables chairs and bar type seating area. Roomy for strollers. Looked and felt super classy and CLEAN. They had restrooms and family friendly.
Merch: sell tshirts, glassware, mugs, and candles.
Drinks: great selection in their standard menu and they have seasonal special menu. Loved the options and nothing very commercial about the drinks. I threw away the Starbucks drink going in and glad I did. They also offer teas, smoothies as well as bottled selections etc. everyone will be satisfied in your group with an option.
Coffee: very well made. I decided to get the summer drink, strawberry cream later, on ice. Did not need any additional sweetener. If you like strawberry cream you'll love the coffee. Smooth espresso. Loved it.
Food: assortment of cookies, treats, sugar cookies fun for children, all individually wrapped. Did not see bagels or hot food but it's enough to get a snack and drink.
Definitely will be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 21, 2022
WOW! I had visited Sundial Coffee at their last location but this was my first time in their new spot and it is so cute. I got there right at closing, this was my fault because I did not know they closed at 4pm, but they were so kind to not only serve me but also give me a little tour of their shop.
They have all sorts of drinks ranging from coffees, teas, and even red bull refreshers. They also carry many different baked goods, some that come from the bakery that is connected to their coffee shop, and others from places in Wilmington.
When the owner gave me a tour, she showed me the little private sitting areas that would be perfect to bring a book to and enjoy your coffee but also a little nook in the back that they call the family area. It had a TV, games, nice table for kids to color, do homework on, and honestly was a perfect addition to this location.
Before I left, I did get an iced oatmilk latte that was perfectly blended and not too sweet and a chickpea blondie brownie that was delicious. I honestly cannot wait to return and to try some of their other goodies.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kk B.Asheville, NC2263Nov 22, 2023
Lovely coffeeshop - a good variety of spaces to settle into whether alone or the whole family in tow (board game and kiddo play area, plus a pick-up window for the days you need it)! Super clean, modern decor, cheery staff, and wide selection of coffee, smoothies, and freshly-baked treats. Oh, and plenty of parking!!
