The best dentist office I've ever been to! The staff are always friendly and make the experience more enjoyable. The really helped me fix my teeth and keep me cavity free!
I highly recommend checking them out!

Avoid this dentist, avoid this clinic. Poor treatment to cause tooth death, Poor communication to neglect everything.

Doctor Gina Gu drilled a super big and deep hole for a very minor cavity called by her. She did the filling poorly and it touched the pulp to cause infection and death of my tooth. I suffered 2 months and it finally became unbearable pain and an emergency root canal treatment.
Doctor Gina Gu suggested 5 minor fillings done with deep cleaning(I'm not sure if she oversell/overtreat. Another patient said she was identified 14 cavities which proved all wrong in another office) and left lots of filling material between my teeth making even a floss difficult to go through. She needed to grind/clean 5 times using different tools when I visited her the 2nd time (Other customer here commented same fact, too.). When I asked how this careless work can be, she just said it happens.
It became a nightmare and 2 months' pain of the one tooth she did the filling which quickly spread to my whole left section of teeth. When I came back to her to describe the very typical pulp infection symptoms(sensitivity to coldness, radiative pain, etc) to her, the 1st thing she said was it took her husband 6 months to become not painful, so wait and assured several times with me that I wouldn't need a root canal without doing any further test. Later on, the pain became 24 hours and I cannot even sleep and had to do a root canal to kill the pulp.
After my requested x-ray, I was astonished to see clearly the filling is super big and deep and overlaps with my pulp, but she neglected to say anything about this possibility and only said it might be the outside filling's shadow. And her medical assistant even challenged me to say "Are you a dentist? Can you make diagnosis?" Oh, I told her I cannot diagnosis but I only stated what I saw and that's at least one possibility. My 3D CT at another clinic proved she was wrong and the filling did touched my pulp to cause all the infection and severe pain. When I challenged doctor Gina Gu why she didn't want to talk about the possibility that the filling may touched the pulp, she still only talked about all other possibilities. You may doubt if it's because the cavity was deep which is not my case, at least 1, I didn't feel anything pain before. 2, from the x ray first time, it shows minor cavity. 3, Doctor Gina didn't mention the possibility of bigger cavity hidden inside before, during and after the treatment even when I argued with her. She just knew that's not the case.
She just said I have signed the agreement, but I want to say if it's deep and big cavity, I am ok with the risks(and she needs to tell it instead of saying it's minor), but if with poor treatment and poor skills of the doctor, I cannot accept.
The skills and attitude of doctor Gina is so poor that I have the same voice that I have to make as made by another patient here - how can she get a license?
If you don't want your healthy teeth to be dead, please avoid this dentist and this clinic which hires her. They don't meet baseline.

Not only did she mess up on my mouth twice but when I asked her to fix the giant gap she left between two of my teeth she actually told me to find a new dentist. She said she could not handle perfectionist and didn't like having to redo my filling for free.

I need to stress that the gap in between my teeth where she worked was so big I couldn't eat anything without it filling worth food. I never had a gap before she began her work and never experienced anything like this at the dentist. I find it hard to believe that she's a licensed dentist. Worst dentist I've ever had. There was white filling stuck on every side of the tooth she worked on. Part of the extra filling finally broke off about a week later.

Please rethink taking your kids or loved ones here.

Worst experience I've ever had at a dentist office!! So I've never had a cavity before or anything wrong with my teeth. However, when I went to see this dentist she told me I had 14 cavities!!! Then she started scraping my teeth until they were all bleeding. I left the office crying. When I walked out the billing lady told me that my insurance wouldn't cover all the cavity fills in one year so we would have to pay out of pocket so I instantly knew they were only in it for the money. The very next day I went for a second opinion about these 14 cavities and surprise, not a single cavity. Please, please, please do not go here! I would not want anyone else to go through what I did!!

I love how they always manage to fit me in. If it is a simple x-ray to make sure that my tooth is not infected or a whole crown and replacements, my work schedule is never complicated or effected.

I moved to the area and thought I'd give them a shot. First impressions of the office were not great. It's an odd building, like converted apartments. The office lobby was typical, however, when I was escorted to the back room the state of it almost made me want to run. The dental chair was old, torn, and wobbly. Of all the dental offices I've been to, this was the worst condition. What made me decide to stay was Dr. Gina Gu and the receptionist. They were very professional and friendly, so I hoped it was enough to keep me as a client. My 2 appointments with Dr. Gina were great. No complaints about her knowledge and practice, and the pricing was very affordable.

When I came in the 3rd time, I had a new doctor, Dr. Andrew, for a tooth extraction. I can say confidently that it was the most odd and painful dental visit I've ever had. In the middle of the extraction, he had to numb my mouth on different occasions because I was feeling the pain. He did not consider my TMJ, and did not offer any mouth rest for the procedure. He opened my mouth so wide that the corner of my mouth tore and became a sore. At the end of the procedure, I tried to ask questions, but he handed me an instruction sheet and said all I needed to know was there. He and the dental assistant let me walk out of the room with blood all on my chin and mouth. I only saw it when I got to the car. Who does that?! I will not be returning.

I've always hated going to the dentist, but ever since I found Sunrise Dental in Des Moines it's became a regular part of my life. Dr. Singh is fast, knowledgeable, kind, and talented. He communicates clearly what I need done and what I need to do to take better care of my teeth. The service at this place is the best!

I recently moved here and visited this office, my first impression was not the best (location) after I went inside and was greeted I felt much better. The Dr. who worked on me was very friendly and she actually listened to what I had to say. She was willing to work with me, few Drs will do that! I'm happy I found this office I will continue to be a patient while I live here.

I'm a long time happy customer of Dr. Gu and she has been really quick to respond when she finds issues with my teeth. For example, I had some issues with my side teeth where it keeps cutting my floss. She discovered the problem and fixed it right away. In addition, she found a decayed filling next to it so she went ahead and fixed it as well. When I was at my previous dentists, they would make me come back again for fixing a filling and that just took more time off work. Her staff is really friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend this place.

Great place to go if you want a great smile with perfect white teeth. My family and I have been coming to see her for years!

This place is great, the office isn't fancy, but they do great work at a reasonable price. I would totally recommend Dr Gu.
