A very wide variety of teas and very knowledgeable and friendly owners. I had to wait a bit to order my teas, which left me time to peruse the different teas. I picked out 3: two oolongs and a pu'erh.

When the owner was measuring and bagging my tea, she asked me if was brewing them gong fu style. I didn't know what that was, so she explained. What I came away with was that it was basically the traditional Chinese brewing method that differed for each tea. It was not the western method of 1 tsp for 8oz water for 3-5 minutes, but perhaps 8 grams of tea for 4 oz brewed for 30 seconds, with subsequent brews adding 5-10 seconds to the total time.

Each tea I bought came with specific instructions for brewing, and they've rocked my world. I've had oolong and pu'erh before, but never were they so fine and complex. I came away having had a lovely interaction and found a new favorite spot in Chinatown.

I came by the store last weekend hoping to pick up some tea to use as Christmas presents for my friends and family but was treated so poorly, I left empty handed.

Both owners were preoccupied serving another customer when I arrived, so I patiently waited for my turn. Roughly 5 mins later, another customer came in and waited after me.

When one of the owners freed up, he walked straight past me to serve the customer who came in later. Not only that, he even asked I move so he can show this other customer some tea. I could not believe how rude he was. I wished I had checked other yelp reviews before making the journey. It's not surprised how others have commented on the owners being rude and condescending.

      Would not come back.

Rude owners and poor service. I really don't understand where the good reviews came from. Teas are outsourced from god knows where, the stuff member couldn't explain clearly, yet they claim to carry "organic" teas only.
Handwritten labels are hard to read and add to the suspicion of the teas origin .
Avoid this place at all costs.

The people who work this shop are so kind and knowledgeable about their teas.

They have an amazing selection for any tea lover or novice, I would definitely make the journey and check this place out!

They do not accept card if your purchase is less than $20 so make sure you have cash or Venmo when you stop by!

Didn't have the bubble tea to go as I had read about.
Lady working here was rather rude. Great selection. Lots of 'healing blends'. Cost per ounce for the dandelion tea (which was good), turned out to be pretty expensive. I ended up finding another loose tea store with friendlier service.

This is going to be my new go-to tea spot in the city! I've never been to a shop with such an extensive collection of teas. They have all kinds of loose leaf teas including pu-erh, oolong, green, black, white, and even floral/fruity ones. Most of the teas are imported from Asia and are high quality and affordable. The shop employees were helpful in assisting me choosing the right kind of tea. I will surely come back when I need to re-stock!

So based on other past reviews, I can see where everyone is coming from. Lorna does have strict rules and is quite particular about her tea, but I can't deny that I'm excited to go back again. She recommended the jasmine and rose green tea, which I have been drinking for the past five days nonstop. Her tea is beautifully fragrant and so affordable.

Downside is that, yes, she doesn't let you smell anything and, yes, other tea places definitely let you do as a standard practice (some even let you sample the leaves). But Lorna has a great variety of teas and is conveniently located. I think I found my regular tea shop for now.

Came here to pick up some authentic Chinese tea. The shop has a ton of selection from all around the globe. Tea is a little pricey. I felt the cashier was condescending as soon as we walked into the store.

I'm not tea connoisseur and rarely drink tea so as expected, I was asking questions. Every response had a dirty look as if I was stupid for not knowing anything about tea. It was intimidating and uncomfortable. I was actually tempted to just walk out based on her attitude.

I will not be coming back here because of this. I'll grab cheaper tea at a supermarket.

DONE. I have found my go-to tea shop. I'm not an expert but the teas and herbs here taste great and I can tell the owner really cares about the quality and sourcing and knows her stuff. She always gives customized service, asking what I like, providing interesting and useful tips about the different teas, increasing my awareness of and understanding of tea. She seems so knowledgeable and I gotta say that as a perfectionist, I love it. I am just grateful to have access to all this shop provides, and at very reasonable prices. As an example, I bought some tea at another tea shop around the same price range and brought it home and it was so bitter and off-putting that my partner wanted to spit it out. I came here and bought the same type of tea and it is elegant, aromatic, and enjoyable!

I discovered this gem by looking for loose tea leaf a few months ago, in search of Rose Jasmine Green tea. I love it!! Today I went in and purchased more of the above and a new blend which the owner said was mixed by mistake but has been a hit. It's Rose Jasmine and Lavender green tea. The business is under new ownership, I met her today, her name is Natalie and she has excellent customer service. If you want high end organic teas and health herbs, this is the place to go. They are knowledgeable and able to suggest teas in regards to what you ask them for ie: energy, focus, calming etc. I went in for one type of tea and walked out with 5 more! Need I say more? I'll be going back again and again. :-)
