Although it was difficult for us to find a parking spot at first, I was glad to see that we were quickly seated upon arrival.
We ordered several sushi rolls and sashimi, and received the food quickly. I was pleased to find thick cuts of fresh tasting salmon sashimi which isn't always a given with AYCE places. The tuna was a little fishy but the other options well made up for it. Our waitress was attentive and frequently came by to check on us, which I appreciate.
Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and will definitely come back next time I'm in town.

      1 check-in

Nut allergy warning: They have a peanut avocado roll, so suggest informing your server to make rolls separately.

We arrived at 11:50 AM on a Saturday morning and it was relatively empty. Got much fuller toward 1 PM.

Service was quite fast and remained pretty fast throughout our 2-3 orders. We got our first food within 10 minutes of ordering and I don't think it ever took more than 15 minutes between ordering a roll and receiving it.

For 3 people, we ordered a total:

      3 Miso Soup
      2 Seaweed Salad
      2 Edamame
      1 Jalapeno Bomb
      2 Coconut Shrimp
      2 Pepper Tuna
      3 piece White Tuna Sushi
      3 piece Red Snapper Sushi
      3 piece Salmon Sushi
      7 Teriyaki Red Snapper
      1 Rainbow Roll
      1 Tuna Special Roll
      1 Eel Avocado Roll
      2 Eggplant Tempura
      3 Tuna Tataki
      1 Alaska Roll
      1 Cow Boy Roll
      1 Luna Tuna Roll
      Various ice creams

Overall, we enjoyed that the rolls weren't too heavy on the rice, but the lunch menu didn't have many special roll options that weren't spicy or fried or with jalapeno. There are no sashimi options on the lunch menu and the nigiri are very rice heavy. So although the lunch option is cheaper, I would say it's not worth the loss of these options.

      A couple other misses:
-The cold water tasted a bit off. I eventually just ordered a hot green tea and other people in my party got hot water.
-The restrooms were missing paper towels and when we let them know, it wasn't fixed.

Probably the worst all you can eat sushi I've ever had

      Fish quality was bad
      Service was mid
They had the audacity to ask if we were gonna "finish all that" before we ordered dessert.
Their teriyaki sauce had an off putting after taste

They had probably only two waitresses taking orders. The restaurant was pretty empty for a Tuesday night with the parking lot being so packed. Now I see why. Idk if I'll give this another try. My escolar tasted and smelt spoiled I had to spit it out.
Two stars for benefit of the doubt

      Sushi 9 would've been better

      I prefer sushi masa myself

AYCE... your probably thinking I go for the lunch price because it's cheaper but before you decide... lunch has less appetizer options, less dessert options and no sashimi. So if you are a sashimi person is there really a choice? Well?
So of course I paid the regular price.

      Appetizers:
Tana Dumpling - very good nice contrast of textures
      Mango Salmon - surprisingly tasty

      Kitchen Appetizers:
      Coconut Shrimp - good
Gyoza - didn't try.. heard it was good
      Octopus Balls - good
Sesame Balls - slightly over fried but good

      Tempura:
      Pumpkin - yummy
      Sweet Potato - yummy
Shrimp - on the small side

      Soups:
Clear Soup - like onion Soup

      Sashimi:
Scallop - scallop cut in half - small but tasty
Salmon - delicious, flavor and texture just right
Escolar - delicious, flavor and texture just right
Tuna - meh, texture was off
      Unagi - delicious

      Handrolls:
Spider - disappointed- not enough crab
Salmon Skin - crispy but not great

      Specialty Rolls:
Fuji Volcano Roll - a lot going on, texture and taste...delicious
      Lion King Roll - tasty

      Dessert:
Tempura Banana - delicious... crispy outside and sweet banana inside

Service was very friendly and helpful.

      Definitely a family atmosphere.

And they do keep track of your 2hrs.

Shared parking lot and it gets crowded quickly on a weekend.

I've been to a few different ayce sushi spots in the greater Houston area. This one is the best in my opinion. It's clean, affordable, and has good service.

Sushi 9 has been getting overpriced, mikoto has terrible service, and sushi masa was just not good when I had it.

Sushi Ichii has everything you want, cute decor, and plenty of tables. I hope to go back soon!

I came here for a weekend lunch buffet, while the rest in my party had a la carte from the lunch menu. The buffet menu has limited food options.

From the buffet menu, I ordered the gyozas, vegetable noodles, age tofu, teriyaki tofu, tuna sushi, salmon sushi, eel sushi, spicy salmon roll, tiger eye roll, eel avocado roll, and green tea ice cream. The gyozas were standard frozen dumplings so they tasted normal. The age tofu was a big disappointment. The small amount of sauce given with the tofu was not good, and the tofu tasted bleh. The teriyaki tofu was slightly better because of the sauce. The sushi were ok. The rolls were ok except for the spicy salmon roll. It wasn't spicy at all. The noodles were tasteless. The green tea ice cream was the worst. There was no green tea flavor at all despite the rich green color. For the food I ordered, sushi was the saving grace.

From the a la carte menu, my party had the chicken katsu. The chicken katsu didn't taste and look like real chicken meat. It was hard to eat.

Though the service was great, I wouldn't be back because of the low food quality.

A really fantastic AYCE sushi experience. We came here for lunch and were really impressed by the quality of the food for the price. Lunch is around $20 and you can choose from a variety of handrolls, appetizers, rolls, and sushi pieces as well as dessert.

The tuna sushi was really fresh and my husband enjoyed the salmon.

The service is very friendly and accomodating. The rolls come out fast so you don't need to load up on your orders right away.

They do charge for children 3 and under which is a little surprising! Only $4 so not a huge price but usually babies are free.

I went for the all-you-can-eat lunch and decided to take my time to review everything I tried.

Seaweed Salad: The seaweed salad was pretty standard, nothing particularly special, but I still enjoyed it. 8/10

Onion Tempura: I thoroughly enjoyed the onion tempura. It had a satisfying crispiness that indicated it was freshly made. I couldn't resist eating more of it. 10/10

Tuna Tataki: The tuna tataki was delicious. They served a generous portion, and I loved the citrus sauce they drizzled over it. The masago and green onion added great flavors to the tuna. 10/10

Pepper Tuna: I really enjoyed this dish as well. I've always liked pepper tuna, but I felt that it wasn't as peppery as I would prefer. It might be because there was too much sauce. 8/10

Tana Dumpling: This was my first time trying the Tana Dumpling, and I really enjoyed it. The spicy tuna and the sauce had a strong presence, which might be overwhelming for some, but I thought all the ingredients complemented each other well. 9/10

Luna Tuna Roll: This roll was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the generous portion of white tuna on top. Perhaps a little less sauce next time would make it perfect. 9/10

Sushi: The sushi was decent but not amazing. It tasted similar to other sushi I've had before, nothing particularly special. I found it a bit plain. 7/10

Rolls: Personally, I preferred their maki rolls over the sushi. The seaweed added an extra layer of flavor that enhanced the taste of the fish. 8/10

Ice Cream: I tried the chocolate and vanilla flavors. They served a generous portion of ice cream, and it was delightfully creamy. The taste surpassed my expectations, and I truly enjoyed it. 9/10

Service: The service was friendly and attentive. The staff frequently checked on our table to see if we needed anything. 10/10

When I look at reviews for sushi on Yelp, I begin to wonder if any of the other reviewers have actually had ANY decent sushi.

While staff was friendly and an effort was made, it is not possible to hide a lack of quality in the ingredients. I think AYCE means "give portions as inexpensively as possible" in many cases. This didn't buck that norm.

Spend an hour or so last night, celebrating my son's 28th birthday and he wanted to try this spot for a second time. There were at least eight of us on this visit so it took them a while, but our waitstaff was great!
I had some chicken & shrimp hibachi which was pretty solid but it wasn't a great dish. My wife had the chicken noodles which were very fresh and very tasty for sure. My nephew had a Texan Roll which was okay but I'm sure he'll want to try something else the next time we stop by. All in all, everything was pretty great and we'll definitely stop by more than a couple times this year!
