I can't believe how horrendous this place was. Imagine, placing an order to go, confirming the order, you making your way there, go into one of the worst parking lots ever, enter this tiny and hard to move in establishments, only to be told that they didn't even start it!
There is less than no place in the world that is worth the disrespect of going 20 minutes down the road because of the way traffic works down here and the order not even starting!
Absolutely horrendous, not worth the time, energy, or money for any food in this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Erika B.Sacramento, CA0711Feb 10, 2024
4.2 stars!! An unassuming sushi haven with cozy vibes and outstanding flavors. The fish is fresh. The service is excellent. The prices are reasonable. Unlike some sushi spots, you will walk away from your meal satisfied. A must try!

Went with my friends to the Wharf last night for a good time. Before going out and partying, though, we were hungry and decided to grab some sushi close by at Sushi Song.
Going in, there was a decent amount of seating inside and typical sushi interior vibes. For dinner, we ordered 1x KC roll and 1x rainbow roll.
Moving on with my review, the food was good! Both rolls were served with what I'd consider sushi grade fish! I liked the way the red tuna flavor popped on the KC roll as it tasted very savory. The rainbow roll is always my standard way of assessing quality, and as stated above, this passed my test. Prices were just about average here for rolls.
Service also was pretty standard that evening. Overall, I'd be open to coming back here again and trying something new, as I would've liked a little more pizazz. But again, not bad at all, final verdict 4/5!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 6, 2023
This hole in the wall sushi place is just steps from our condo, so we decided to give it a try.
From the outside it looks very dark and unassuming, but also when you walk inside, it's not really bright nor heavily decorated, a bit on the small side...but if you get there at slow times, there's no problem finding a nice place to sit.
I love crunchy, so I got their spider roll and it was really good....the staff was friendly and welcoming.
Sushi Song has several locations in the area like in Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, Hollywood and Deerfield Beach where they offer a New York ambiance for the sultry and exotic flavors of South Florida nightlife. This particular one is the one labelled Oakland Park on their website.
Sushi Song is open late for those wanting some sushi after hours.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 28, 2022
I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Their rolls are ridiculously delicious, super fresh ingredients and they have quite a few specialty rolls.
Last time I had the Sobe roll (Tuna, Avocado, Masago, Scallion, Spicy Mayo I/O topped with Seared Tuna and Special Garlic Truffle Oil Sauce - I freaking love truffles!) and it was amazing!
This time I had the "Shut Up Liz" roll and I cannot shut up about how it's my new favorite roll! I don't know if it was the crunch from the Fried onions on top or the perfectly portioned cilantro in the roll, but whatever it was I am obsessed!
While, there are other Sushi Song locations, I genuinely prefer this one. It's almost literally a hole in the wall so service is super intimate and efficient. This staff is always really nice and have had the best recommendations for different rolls to try so far!
Highly recommend this place!!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Yola S.Northern California, CA11714238Sep 17, 2023

Place is a dump needs to be closed and cleaned up but food is usually good.. not many sushi places around do not real choices in the area! Portions have gotten much smaller and of course prices have gone higher.. staff there are not friendly at all ..

This place was highly recommended by a friend and this place did not disappoint. It was the best sushi I've ever had, so fresh. It taste like some of the seafood was just caught and I'm obsessed. Haana was incredible, provided a level of customer service you don't normally get. I'll be back for sure! Get the salmon belly also known as the mutha *****h

Listed as one of The 10 BEST Late Night Restaurants, Sushi Song was at the top of the list! The list surpassed 10, but that was not the point. If you saw the list, you would probably check out Sushi Song, if you were a sushi fan.
Based on YELP reviews, plus having an unexpected early night off from work, we headed to our favorite area in Fort Lauderdale, which was Himmarshee Street.
It was Friday night, and at midnight, there was a fraction of the denizens. Came to find out there was a game that night. That meant the time between order and pickup should be shortened.
Sushi Song truly was a hole-in-the-wall. The outside does not prepare you for the small space inside. But the space works! You can sit at the bar, plus there were a group of tables as soon as you enter, and more across from the bar. This is a good example of less being more. After all, this is a sushi restaurant, not a Japanese steakhouse or swanky Japanese restaurant on South Beach.
You know we have to talk about service. Service was excellent! Our server greeted us with a smile upon entry! We placed our order, but one dish was an item only the Oakland Park Blvd location made, which was Salmon Belly. No problem, we selected something else that piqued our interest.
Regarding the food, the best YELP reviews were correct. The freshness was undeniable! The quality of the salad demonstrated the restaurant does not settle.
Sushi Song sets itself apart from all the other restaurants on Himmarshee Street as the only Asian restaurant there. #00 SHATO aka #SHATO fka 00# Saloon tried it's hand at it, hired an IRON CHEF, and still failed. It seems Sushi Song has staying power, and will be around for some time. So stop by and give them a try!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Gordon G.Manhattan, New York, NY0912Mar 22, 2023
Sushi Song is awesome.
Great atmosphere, attitude and oh yeh the sushi is off the scale.
My daughter's comment after eating the seared salmon belly was "Heaven!" They do a great job across the board with fresh fresh fish and of course their own unique variations on rolls as well as traditional sushi.
The staff is great, low key yet engaging and patient when you have an obnoxious step sister who wanted to define her next meal before departing Ft Lauderdale.... roll with the experience man...relax...
Another big plus, while a steady stream of loyal customers , rarely a wait!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
