Sushi Tengoku

Honestly, this place is great, but needs a lot of help and could use improvement, but I give them 5 stars because they are a hard working business and I go here with my family regularly(monthly).

The best item IMO is the Salmon Citrus Roll for sure! If you're a salmon lover, youll love this. Great flavor and the citrus isnt too strong.

Overall pretty solid sushi joint. The sushi was tasty and they had some pretty unique rolls. Definitely recommend the HYE sushi, alba alba, and Tsuri roll.

There's a tiny lot in the back otherwise you would need to parallel park on Huntington!

Fish was very fresh. Friendly server. Clean restaurant.

Sushi Tengoku is a sushi restaurant that also serves main Japanese dishes for the whole family to enjoy. My wife and I were craving sushi and decided to give it a try because of the variety on their menu.

Food: We both ordered bento boxes, which come with a choice of salad, tempura/gyoza, and 2 sushi rolls (8 pieces per roll). It was a lot of food that we couldn't finish. I enjoyed my seaweed salad and my wife enjoyed her refreshing cucumber salad. I chose the vegetable gyoza because why not and it was surprisingly tasty and had a burst of flavor. For the rolls, I elected with the salmon roll and yellowtail scallion roll. Our complaint is the fishy taste of the salmon on a few bites and some of the sushi rice was undercooked. My yellowtail scallion roll was just okay because there was too much sesame oil that I could taste it in every bite. We also ordered the spicy salmon crunchy rice. That was our favorite thing of the night.

Ambiance: Pretty casual and plenty of TVs to enjoy the local/national sports games. The restaurant was well lit and a comfortable environment.

Service: We were standing at the hostess table for five minutes before a waiter directed us to a table. Pretty long in my opinion. Otherwise, the service was good.

Overall, I would recommend sushi tengoku for the menu variety. I wish the fish tasted fresher and some of the recipes need some adjustment. Otherwise, it would be a fun place to enjoy sushi.

Searching for fresh Sushi . And found this Gem in Arcadia around my previous neighborhood.

Rick and rock sushi- no rice on Cucumber with fresh albacore- tuna and yellowtail.
Dinner Bento- albacore scallion- yellowtail
Cucumber salad and shrimp tempura .it was very good and fresh.
The ambiance was simple and clean.

We will try to come back for Lunch, this will be my new Local sushi place.
Parking can be on the street or in the back.

Long overdue review update - and my 5 star rating still stands!! Phenomenal service here and very fresh, delicious sushi rolls in a relaxed setting. They have an extensive menu that even included specials - like their sushi bento boxes which are a great deal!

My hubby and I both got their special bento boxes on our last visit. They include a choice of salad, appetizer, and two rolls and a wide variety to choose from! My hubby got the house salad, seafood gyoza appetizer, yellowtail scallion roll, & spicy tuna roll. I got the cucumber salad, shrimp tempura, yellowtail scallion roll, & snow crab roll.

Their salads are lovely - the house salad is better than the cucumber salad imo - there's more to it and it's more crisp. That seafood gyoza is the BEST gyoza I've ever had! Crisp on the outside with a most delectable, soft filling - I loved it!

The yellowtail scallion rolls came recommended by our awesome server and are excellent - it was a great recommendation! The spicy tuna roll is good but be warned - their spicy tuna is VERY spicy! My hubby likes spicy food and it was even a bit much for him lol! The snow crab roll is my favorite- lots of crab and avocado- so yummy! All their fish is super fresh every time - can't go wrong here.

And then there's the service - the regular female server they have is SO attentive and kind and just goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience- I really need to get her name bc she ROCKS!! And the chef was so welcoming and friendly too - we always have a great experience here.

The vibe is relaxing - very chill and in a great location - right in the heart of downtown Arcadia - very walkable. Parking is a tad tight - there's street parking but it's very busy here. They have a small parking lot in the back alley with a back door you can enter but I'm sure it fills up quickly.

So Glad Sushi Tengoku is open after a few months of it being closed. This is our "Go To" Sushi spot in Arcadia! The service is great and very friendly. Come one come all. Support our businesses in Arcadia. It won't disappoint!!

Whenever I'm passing through, I make sure to stop by Sushi Tengoku. The fish is quality and fresh. Quick and attentive service too. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Just arrived in Arcadia for a conference and needed to do Lunch. I was greeted with a smile and seated right away. The host was wonderful and explained the selections. I got an iced green tea & the Salmon Donburi. The place has 6 large screen TVs around the walls.

Service: If you're in the area and are looking for a chill place to eat sushi at more than a reasonable price compared to other places in Arcadia this is the place to dine in!

Food: The bento box was so worth the price, quantity, and quality. It comes with a side salad, scoop of rice, miso soup, and 2 choice options (rolls, tempura, salmon, teriyaki chicken). Personally, I got the 2 rolls as a side so I can take some food to go, but if you are wanting to eat the whole meal yourself in one sitting please pair it up with a hearty side to eat with the scoop of rice. My mistake was getting two rolls of sushi and I had to eat my rice with my miso soup and salad.

The spicy tuna roll was soft and juicy with a hint of spice. Would definitely recommend getting it again.
The yellow tail roll was okay, the fish was fresh. I would recommend getting this dish if you want something light unique fresh roll.

For both of the rolls, I noticed that the sushi rice was pretty plain, the rice didn't have any vinegar or sesame oil to bring out the flavor.

Parking: There is parking up at the front of the restaurant or parking right across the back street parking lot.
