I must admit I was skeptical when we walked in, sushi on a conveyor belt? But they have vegan sushi on the menu and made it fresh for me. They were just $3 each plate. I also had a chilled saki which was $9. My friend ate sushi off the conveyor and she said it was good and fresh. It's really inexpensive and the service was good.

First time trying the Sushi Train chain. Got a bunch of nigiri and tiny tuna rolls as takeout. Staff was friendly and helpful, got my order ready super fast.
Edit: I think I got food poisoning from this location, I was super sick for two days. :(Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tori S.Surfers Paradise, Australia0517Jul 12, 2018
Great sushi for the price! I live near this one and go here quite often. The staff are Sooo friendly and welcoming.
If what you're looking for isn't on the sushi train, they stop and make it for you right away. Always a great experience here :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eric S.Cincinnati, OH166423Aug 1, 2019
The staff was nice, that's about it! I came here because all of the great reviews, now I realize it is a chain and it is horrible. Sushi on a conveyor belt...seriously? Gross, I've literally had super market sushi that was better in the US! No joke! Apparently Australians have very low standards for their sushi!! Don't do it! Trust me!

Oh man, I binged so hard on this sushi.
This was easily the best conveyor belt sushi I've had. So many options, so fresh, and so good. Even has options for sushi haters (aka chicken sushi).
I can't really remember exactly what I had, but that's because I only really had one plate of each type and ended up with like 10 plates (don't judge me!). I'm not even a large guy. I just could NOT stop myself. That kind of convenience and quality mixed together is dangerous. Keep that mind when you go there haha.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Miya N.Sydney, Australia011Jul 10, 2016
Good sushi we enjoyed it
The vegi Gyoza was delicious
And the kids enjoyed the ramen
We recommend sitting and picking the sushi off the train bar, it was fun and different.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Erin H.Melbourne, Australia15113433Feb 16, 2014
Had many a dish when living locally and this was always a good sushi train. No different to most other sushi restaurants really but nice, fresh and standard prices.
If it's still being run how it was seven years ago I'd highly recommend it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennifer R.Florence, KY6151Nov 1, 2016
Conveyor-belt sushi at any Sushi Train is the best! SO fresh. Me and my Uni friends went here for a day at the beach and overall, this is our favorite restaurant chain in Australia. We always sit by the sushi-train belt and eat and choose our favorite little plates.Fried chicken sushi is our favorite! This restaurant is quiet and the staff is really nice and helpful. Definitely recommend!

It's very mediocre sushi, nothing much stands out. Items range from $3-$5 of various rolls, nigiri, and grilled nigiri. Their fish is not the nice fatty kind, very lean. I enjoyed the unagi and grilled scallop. Their croquettes are not the usual veggie potato blend, but rather a corn potage type. I think if their sushi rice was made better (not hard), it would compliment the fish better. And less weird combos of rolls and go back to the basics.

Stopped by for a casual Sunday afternoon late lunch. I tried this brand first in Adelaide and must say the quality and experience is consistent thus far. The service was warm and friendly and the food fresh and tasty. The price is great and the choices are plentiful. Will visit this chain again before I leave Australia. If you like sushi etc. you must try this brand nationwide regardless of where you may be.
