Worst massage of my life. The therapist basically did a deep tissue massage without warning nor being advertised as deep tissue Session. It was some of the worst pain I've ever been in and will not be returning

I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately, I was able to book an appt but after FOUR phone calls and TWO emails, I was not able to speak to anyone from the studio. I had questions about techniques, insurance and payment. The VM indicated someone would return my call. They also stipulated that an appt needed to be cancelled 48 hrs out.

It's been close to 10 days since my first attempt to speak to someone. With 48 hrs until the appt, I decided to cancel. It would be a waste of my time or/and money if I got there and: A. No one was there B. they didn't accept my insurance C. they practiced light massage when I need deep tissue.

I've been seeing Lyndsey for several years and she's one of the best massage therapists I've seen in Tacoma. She does great deep tissue work but can also be really gentle when I'm not up for that.

My friend and I chanced upon the Synergy Wellness Studio after a walk in Wright Park today. It appears they just moved into this space, and from the moment we walked in, it felt very peaceful and serene. The new location looks much better than the pictures that I notice are currently posted...I had just finished the Seattle to Portland bike ride this weekend, so I scheduled a massage for the afternoon. The massage therapist did not disappoint!

I have received massages over the years domestically and abroad from gads of therapists, and I can say unequivocally that DonaRae Freeman gave one of the top massages of my life today! She has what I call "it," that special gift of being able to do something exceptionally well, as if that is exactly what she is on this earth to do. I never met her before today, so I'm not writing this review for a friend. I'm writing it because of the incredible expertise with which she shares her craft.

DonaRae possesses a keen ability to know just how far to position the body or stretch the limbs while she's massaging so that your muscles are relieved of their stress and soreness. She uses a lotion that is not so oily that you have to go home and shower after the massage. You can simply go on with your day. The only difference is, you can go on with your day knowing you feel like a million bucks!

I've lived in Tacoma for almost a year and had yet to find a massage therapist that I wanted to schedule with on a regular basis. Today, it was like an unexpected gift! I found DonaRae...her business cards had not arrived for the new space, so her number is 253-306-9835.

So glad to have found the Synergy Wellness Studio. Can't wait for my next appointment!
