Spicy Tuna Roll, and 2 Joe rolls. Ordered from Door dash. This place never disappoints. Dining in or ordering delivery, the food is always hot. The dining experience was pleasant. This has been my go to for years. Highly recommend.

The staff there are very nosy and asked my date 1 million questions when I was in the bathroom which I did not appreciate nor did he. Definitely go to Sakura instead where people respect your privacy. Going to Sakura tomorrow because my date does not like to be pestered by waitstaff by being asked a million intrusive questions that has nothing to do with them which really makes us mad. It's not worth ruining a night over. We were asked who is he? Where do you live? How far is that? How long did it take you to get here? Where did you guys meet? What do you do for a living? How long have you guys known each other for? Etc......... what restaurant asks all these personal questions??????!!!!! And to make things worse. I found a hair in my Sushi. I literally had to pull it out of my mouth after I had put the whole thing in my mouth! The evening was a terrible nightmare overall!!!!

Obviously I chose to order sushi rolls for the health benefits of fried. They should not automatically put fried crunchies in there because it's not listed on the menu and next time they do that I willreturn the item

Mar 9, 2023Previous reviewThe place is hit or miss. More miss then hits. The last 2 times the sushi was not fresh at all. They would make these rolls with raw fish mashed up in some kind of spicy mayo to camouflage the staleness of the fish. I detest going to a sushi establishment and getting non-fresh fish. I think it's even more horrible to try to deceive the freshness by trying to mask it with thick sauces that doesn't even work but makes the whole thing even worse. Should've sent back the fish. Next time will go to ooka. They always have fresh sushi.

Josh K.Bensalem, PA0302Nov 19, 2023This place is as good as anything in the city. Sushi is fresh and delicious. Hibachi is great. Nothing is over done or over sauced. Crunchy spicy tuna roll and wasabi roll are my favorite. Nice friendly service and BYOB. Give it a try.

Tako is pretty good. I recommend their bento boxes because you get an entree plus sushi, soup, and gyoza. The food is classic Americanized Japanese food, and it's kind of pricey, but I think the bento boxes are affordable and tasty.

Dave L.Philadelphia, PA121815Feb 26, 2022tarted with the sunomono, had some seafood soup, octopus sashimi, John junior roll, and red fire roll. Finished it off with a white raspberry truffle. It was a lot of food, but I had not eaten since breakfast, so I over did it a bit.
The sunomono was an excellent start. The seafood soup was light but with quality seafood. All of the fish I received was fresh and there was zero fishy taste. Overall it was a great meal.

It's been awhile since I've been dining in here. Nothing much has changed. Still great friendly customer service from this lady, possibly the owner. I came here with my dad and a baby in the carseat, so I asked if I can be seated in one of the rooms. Lady said normally they don't open the rooms during lunch time, but she sees that I have a little baby with me, so she tried to accommodate me so my little one can be in a room instead.

I remember my first time trying out this place, my husband and I like this place. We like the fact that this restaurant has 4 individual rooms for their guests. Because I always have a little one with me, it is a plus for us to be seated in the room so my little girl can run around and not bother other customers or employees' work. With those rooms available, it is definitely a plus now during the pandemic. It is great that guest can be separated in their own little room and enjoy their meal.
As for food quality, I think they are not bad at all. Food always taste good and fresh. Their servings size are decent as well, never too cheap on their food.
Services there are great! Even when you're eating in the room, waitresses are always there to check on you and make sure everything is good during your meal.
I will definitely return again and again. Keep up the good work!
