I typically do my own repairs. There are times when I have a diagnostics or electrical issue. These guys always sort me out. I'm sure they do a good job on brakes, water pumps and oil changes but they do a great job every time I have a more serious issue.

I think they are hard up for money so they are fudging times to get paid more labor and gouging on part prices. They are faking the importance of minor things that either aren't important to fix or aren't necessary to fix yet like brake pads that are worn,but not enough for a change yet. Pretty shady.

I had appointment today to have 4 new BF Goodrich tires put on Chevy 05 silverado 2500 HD today. Bought the tires else where but we go to tanners exclusively because of the friendly manner, expertise , honesty and sublime work. However today , it seems they have changed for the worse and makes me sad.

Everyone has that one place they trusted, but tanners is not it anymore. They put the new tires on as requested, however took over 2 hours to do it, which confused me. Appointment started at 10 am which I scheduled days ahead. During the 2 hours I was waiting a lot of times I would go see how its coming, and my tires are leaned against a stack of tires and no one around working on my truck. around 11 am no one around. Saw one worker working on another vehicle.

I was thinking, hoping they are not charging me labor by the hour. I sit back down and wait. Around 12 pm they are finally done. What really makes me angry is that they order lug nuts to replace my other ones on a tire because they are rounded WITHOUT asking me first. They charged me 31 dollars for that and 69 dollars for labor when the tire mount and balance is only 8 dollars a piece. No one came to tell me why or what they were doing, they just did it. Breaks the heart. 69 dollars for 2 hours labor when most of the time I looked no one was doing anything? I am afraid I may have to look for another mechanic.
Even the nice guy that use to greet everyone and help seems to have been replaced. We really liked that guy. Made us feel like we were in good hands.
