We specialize in selling small traditional tacos from Jalisco Mexico. But we will also try to please any order the costumer request even if it's not on the menu as long as we have the required ingredients.

Ordered from here thinking the food would be good since it's so expensive. Ordered a steak torta with no lettuce but I asked for everything else on it. Got delivered and the food was cold. My torta had no cheese,no beans, and no sour cream and the bun was clearly microwaved. For the amount of money they charge I would expect better food. This place sucks!

The tortas are disgusting here and their meat does not taste fresh. yuck.

I went there a couple Sundays ago, ordered some tacos, brother ordered menudo and my mom pozole. Service was horrible, the waitress seemed like she wanted to be anywhere but there. The menudo tasted old, pozole flavorless, tacos were passable but most definitely not the greatest. I'm being generous when giving 2 stars.

If you've already eaten and just looking for a snack, this is the place for you. OR of you want to stop here for an expensive appetizer Before you go to a real restaurant, come here !!! The tacos were the perfect size for my 5yr old nephew and were $2.50. Oh ! And don't expect a nice order or fresh chips because you won't get that either. Worst experience ever...I agree, not sure HOW they stay in business !

Last month my girlfriend suggested we eat here.
I had just come off from work a long day and was "hungry like the wolf!"I ordered 4 steak tacos and a coke. Immediately I remembered they serve the smaller tacos so I had to then order more so I could quench my hunger
The salsa Verde was great but unfortunately the small portions of steak on the tacos consisted of mostly fat. The waitress was decent at best. After everything we ordered she said "is that it? Is that it??" The reaturant had a nice set up. I noticed you can see the cook creepily looking thru the window scanning the place for good looking women, so when you go there expect the cook to be looking at your girlfriend's butt as she walks from the restroom.
I'm totally aware that going out to eat costs some money but my eyes buldged out of my head when I seen the bill. $45 for 9 tacos and 3 cans of coke? Quite ridiculous. If they ridiculously charge extra for limes at least let us know before ordering. I'm a sucker for tipping even if the server is not so great and our waitress was exactly that "not great."
They do not accept debit or credit so if you don't have cash be prepared to use the ATM and be charged money for using your money.
To make a long story short I had to quickly drive home to get to my toilet. Maybe other locations are better but this Los Comales totally dropped the ballHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Maria R.Glen Ellyn, IL188175854Aug 13, 2014
I really like the food here. However it is a little pricey when compared to local taco places.

Ok yesterday after a long wait in the ER of Cook County Hospital for my boyfriend at 11:30 PM, they sucked. The steak tacos weren't as good they were completely full of fat and soaked up in grease. The table was dirty and the woman wasn't helpful of the problem and we were over charged on the fat filled tacos. We won't be returning.

I went to lunch here with Fred, Osi V, Kev and the boys since it is relatively close to Fred's work. I've been to plenty of Comales in my day and this one was just ok for me. I order tacos especiales (meat with cheese, sour cream and avocado). Here they used shredded cheese instead of the slice they have at other locations, which wasn't my fav. Fred had a torta de carne asada and he had no complaints. Kev and O both had tacos and they enjoyed theirs just fine. I thought the horchata was a but on the sweet side, but I'm a horchata snob...soo... Anyways, I LOVE Comales, this location though, just average.
