Teddy's Bigger Burgers - Aiea

Had the Kailua Burger recently which was supposed to be like a teri-burger with cheese and mushrooms. I had to wonder if they gave me the correct order because there was hardly any teriyaki flavor at all. In fact, in only the first bite I could taste the sauce. There were hardly any mushrooms either.
I'm not really a burger person and have not eaten enough to compare. I must say though, I did expect a more teri-sauce flavored burger. All in all, the burger was moist with its own flavor of their own sauce, teri sauce, mushrooms and cheese combined.

This was a takeout a family member ordered. Napkins with the order would have been nice - no napkins at all. Somebody wasn't paying attention to their job.

Food - back to five stars. Burgers were cooked as ordered (I like mine medium rare) AND there was enough sauce (last time they skimped on everyone's sauce). Hubby ordered a combo with onion rings. He got his money's worth since it's additional for them. He had a very large serving, better than last time when it seemed skimpy.
Service is good, but is always a new person there now days, and they always have to ask about how to scan in the Rewards points QR code (but they are always pretty good).
Facility is clean. food comes pretty quick for being made to order.
BIG beef is with the rewards points in the app. We ordered a combo, a single burger, and a single drink. We only, got points for two single burgers and one drink. Went home, looked at the order history dollar value in the app and it was was less than my receipt. I couldn't find any disclaimer about this in the app. NOT happy. Too much hassle to go back to ask. Will check app while we are eating next time to see if it happens again. (My QR code was scanned at the ends of ordering, so everything should have been included.)
Oh - your have to give your phone number is you don't want them taking your phone to be scanned... Clerk didn't know this so manager told me after he took my phone... yuck.
Oh - why did I go home to check the order history? Their sign is too small to see the prices of the sides. I wanted to see how h extra they charge to upgrade a combo to onion rings and made the discovery they don't credit you for a combo in reward points. I had taken a photo is the menu screen while waiting for our food but the prices for the sides were too small.
SUGGESTION-Teddy's should post the menu on the window so folks can see the fine print before going up to the counter and holding up the line. They have laminated menus on the counter which helps, but I'd love to have it in the window so I can decide ahead of time, since I'd there's people in front of you, you would need to excuse yourself and bother them to get a menu.

I ordered takeout for my husband via the yelp app so please keep that into consideration. We love the Teddys in Haleiwa and downtown Honolulu so we were super glad there is a Teddys near our new place.
I ordered a simple burger with cheddar cheese, onions and mayo only. We received a very messy cheeseburger with everything. Getting passed the mess, and taking out all that was not wanted, the burger was just okay. I read that in some of the reviews but hoped it would be a little different.

I think because it was late (within an hour), and it was done through yelp, that may have been the reason. So we will give it a try again.

Went there for takeout. Ordered a one patty and two patty burger with an order of garlic butter fries. The burger was pretty good. The fries were also good.

The only things I had an issue with was that we waited over 30 minutes for our order. The restaurant wasn't that busy. The other issue was the overall atmosphere. It was a little dark and grimy. Could use a little brighter and cleaner appearance.

The staff we encountered were nice and apologetic for the long wait for our food. Overall, I would come back for their burgers.

First time trying this place that's located on the bottom floor of Westridge on the Makai side of the building, lots of parking, inside was spacious and clean and the service was pretty fast.

They have Combo's that includes the burger, fries and a drink. I ordered #1 Single Combo with fries and small side order of tater tots to share. My husband ordered #4 Teri-Burger Combo with beer-battered onion rings. I ordered both burgers MEDIUM WELL where it should be a little pink. I was disappointed that it was MEDIUM RARE???? I'm assuming it was medium rare since I was never served a burger this pink. I dug out the middle but lost my appetite so only ate less than half the burger. My husband ate his because he was hungry but didn't like that it was too pink. The fries was nothing special, liked the onion rings and tater tots.

FYI...if you want to upgrade from:
- fries to beer-battered onion rings, it's $2.50 more
- fries to tater tots, no extra charge
- soft drink to Shakes, it's $5 more

There's lots of burger places I like but wanted to give this place a try. Not sure if I would return.

I have been to Teddys in the past and didn't think it was too bad. However, the last time I went, I was not pleased. I felt it was overpriced for what you got and it wasn't anything special. I got the chicken sandwich with no bun, just the toppings... the chicken was dry and there was no flavor whatsoever. The piece of chicken was so small, I should've just gotten the kids meal.
My mom had a burger, they didn't ask how she wanted it cooked, so it came out nearly Mooing at her. She wasn't pleased with her meal at all. The fries seemed like they had been sitting out so we didn't finish those.
The only good thing was the friendly staff.
The interior of the Teddy's wasn't bad, you order at the counter, pick a table to sit at so they can add the number to your order, and then they bring out your food pretty quick.

Had a good experience here. Delicious burgers. Got the Kilauea Fire Burger which was yummy. Heavy on the BBQ sauce. Love the beer battered onion rings. Umami fries are delish too. Great service. Kevin took our order and was friendly and had a good attitude.

Also the AC was blasting! Good for the warmer folks. I was actually pretty cold I had to get a sweater lol.

Cashier and Server Kevin C., was very friendly and amiable in taking order and explaining menu. He had a very positive attitude, which is to be commended.

Two Kilauea style burgers. Single and a double.
$32.63 total with tax. $12.99 for double and $8.99 for single. $4.59 for Kilauea style add on for each.

Buegers cooked right to requested medium level. Flavorful. Think an elevated Carl's jr western bacon cheeseburger. Good, but not amazing. Tastes better than last trip to 5 guys across the way at mall.

Large amount of Hightop tables and low tables. Cold AC.

We have tried Teddy's about three times now -- tasty burgers and lots of variety but a little over priced for me personally. And last time we went our burger was undercooked yet dripping with grease. I don't think that is a usual occurrence though, so I would say to give it a shot yourself and see how you like it, the Kaneohe burger ($12) or the Kilauea Fire ($11) are two of our favorites!

To me though, it's the sides that start to get you. $5 for a fry/onion ring, a mini shake is over $5, additional toppings range from $0.80-$2.50. It's just starts to add up.

I will always give 10 stars to their service though! The employees who I have had the pleasure of interacting with are phenomenal, they are warm and welcoming and treat everyone with respect and kindness. I feel like they love their job, which is a huge draw!

The restaurant itself is also clean and there is always parking available.

TIPS & TRICKS
* Make sure to get plenty of their special sauce, dip your fries in it, add it to your burgers, drink it! That itself is pretty worth it!

I have slept on Teddy's for far toooo long. I regret not trying them sooner. The burgers taste fresh because the ingredients are! I love the buns and the portions are worth the price.

The onion rings were good BUT I wish they had added more seasoning.

Not pictured is the chocolate Mac nut shake. Which was thick and creamy. 100% would get again.

This was my first time dining in. The server was friendly. We didn't wait too long but the burgers are made to order which guarantees freshness. The place is nothing to shout about but the food is great.
