So don't make the same mistake I did and try to find a sign for this restaurant. They don't have one in the plaza! However, look for the plaza that's right across from the 60 east on-ramp with a Del Taco. If you see that, you're on the right track. Go park in the parking lot and walk towards the main plaza towards the right corner. You have to walk all the way in and make a right and go all the way to the end. The Attic will then be on your right.

What makes this place so unique is the open space of lots of tables so you can come groups big and small. No, just kidding, it's not just that. You may notice that the right side of the restaurant has a playground! Perfect for your kids to work off their energy while you order and wait for your food or while you enjoy your adult food.

I ordered their kimchi fried rice ($12), mainly because the menu said it's topped with an over-easy fried egg. Yes! The fried rice was more mushy than I expected, especially compared to the other kimchi fried rice I've had before elsewhere. I asked for mild spice and it was still pretty spicy, fair warning. It's a pretty large portion and comes with a house salad with your choice of sesame, miso or soy vinaigrette dressing.

And the best way to end a meal? Post a picture (of their food) on Yelp or Facebook for a complimentary iced tea or scoop of ice cream (I picked strawberry)!

The Attic is a place that I have never stepped foot into because I don't have a kid and I don't really know that many people with children. But recently came here for a friends baby boy that turned 1 years old.

So to my knowledge you are able to rent out the whole place and just invite your friends to come and eat and play. There is a play pen for the little kiddies and nice tables and chairs for people to sit and chat.

They served chicken wings, French fries and noodles that were all pretty tasty! Overall I have to say it is pretty nice to have a private party with lots of babies and friends. It's a great time to catch up and it was al very enjoyable!

I'm sure you have to call in advance to book the time and spot so if you want to hold a kids party I think this place is pretty great!

Cute little restaurant with play area for kids. Play area is indoors and small so don't expect something grand but works to keeps kids busy till food gets out. As long as there aren't any kids playing rough it works well. There was once a dad throwing balls across the room which was annoying. No one monitors so just take your shoes off and watch your child if you feel obliged.

I've tried many different appetizers and dishes and they've all been good so far. If you go for lunch on a weekday it includes a yummy free iced green/black tea.

I love love their pastas both linguini with white clam sauce and spaghetti bolognese. Chicken wings, fried chicken, and mini shrimp roll appetizers are all good. They are geared for children so the kids meals are all great. My son likes the tofu and chicken hamburger steak with rice.

Sometimes I have shown up and they are randomly closed or there's a party going on taking up the whole place so don't have your heart set on eating there. I've been let down. :( haha but no worries there are plenty of restaurants to eat at closeby. Right at the entrance to that small indoor mall where they are located there's a restaurant called il Poom which is also pretty good. Gotta leave them a review next. Oh forgot to mention you can't see the restaurant from the parking lot. You need to enter between that restaurant il Poom and Paris Baguette bakery to the indoor tiny mall.

For a kid friendly hangout and restaurant, The Attic is definitely worth checking out!

With most of my friends having babies, finding a suitable place to plan our holiday get together has become increasingly more complicated. Especially during the holidays, it is hard for parents to drop everything to clean and set up for a party with a gang load of kids to ruin it all.

Luckily, The Attic not only provides a decently sized playground for the young kids to play, they also have party packages where they do all the set up including simple backdrop, utensils, refreshments, balloons. Pretty much all you have to do is show up! Since I live up in NorCal relying on the staff to take care of all of this was really a nice relief. The kids seemed to really love the play area and the parents could monitor peripherally with the monitors up in the main area.

If I could say one downside would be the lack of greens or some healthier alternatives for my friends who were vegetarian. The food was pretty good otherwise. Since the place is geared towards to kids and they enjoyed it, that was what really mattered.

TIP: The place is a little hard to find! Basically, it is located in the back of the main plaza in the lot.

For families (especially those who are interested in throwing parties) I would highly recommend checking out The Attic!

It's ok. I came with my kids & the hubby last month. The service was slow...& there were only 2 other tables being served. In other words, it wasn't packed. However the concept is great! The kids can play while adults eat. They have cameras/TV so you can see the play area & keep an eye on your kids. The food was ok, I think I had higher expectations.
I would come back if I was super hungry & had the kids with me.
P.S. the play area was clean & the kids loved it!

Cute concept if you have little ones

Came Saturday morning when they first opened and most of the tables were reserved already. The kids immediately went for the playground. Overall it's not bad. I was a little concerned with the blue curvy slide since it moved a lot when they slid down. There were lots of makeshift foam wrapping around the playground to cover areas where the kids would hit themselves. I liked that they had video covered of the area so you can eat and watch your kids. The toddler area was a nice touch but looked like it wasn't done yet. There were some boxes stored in the corner with a stack of cushions.

We ordered the satay vermicelli, kimchi fried rice, pork noodle, and egg with minced pork. The kimchi fried rice was delicious!! Nice and spicy, had bits of beef, tasty egg on top. Probably one of the best ones I've had. The egg dish was pretty good too. The kids enjoyed it mixed with rice. However, the two noodle soups were a major miss. They were so extremely salty that we had a hard time even eating it. My mom loves salty food and this was even too salty for her!!! That's saying a lot! If we came back, it would be just for the kimchi fried rice and the playground.

We went to this place for a kid's birthday party. Maybe I've just been spoiled by the huge spaces Orange County play gyms have, but this place is tiny. The best thing about this place is that they actually have a real kitchen with real food...and it was GOOD food too!

The play area is nice and there weren't too many broken toys beside the ones that needs a set of new batteries. All the kids love the ball pit which eventually turned into war zone. I felt bad for the clean up that was needed after the fact.

Their restroom has a small child size toilet which is great since our daughter is going through here potty training phase right now.

All in all I would say that despite the much smaller size. This would be a great place to host a kid's birthday partying if it's not too large.

The only other downside would be the parking situation outside. We literally circled that lot for a goo 20 minute before getting a spot.

I did a last minute reservation for six people for my son's birthday and I used yelp messages. They replied really quick and was able to accommodate us with complimentary birthday cake for my son.

The food is good. I ordered the beef stew with rice and my husband had the sukiyaki beef udon soup. We also ordered french fries and the mini spring roll. The spring roll is so tiny, even smaller than my finger and I don't think its worth $7.

The play area is just nice size and my son loves the ball pit and the slide.

This review if only for the play area. I came here for my friend's baby shower. I was shocked by how poor the play area condition is with a 4 star review on yelp. I understand it could get very messy when there is a party with bunch of kids here. But overall, the toys, the gym, the slide, they are in poor condition and not cleaned. That is not caused by a one day event.

The size of this area is very tiny compares to other indoor playground/restaurant I been to. They definitely need to have capacity to control how many kids can be in at one time, otherwise it could be dangerous for the big kids and small babies playing in the same area. I have seen small babies got pushed by other running kids because 1 is their manner of course, but 2 is the narrow open space.

The electric ride-on train is out of battery when I was there. So the parents were literally need to push the train around for the babies to "enjoy" the ride. All the toys are not cleaned, many has missing pieces, some is broken. The toy area looks like a mess.

The big kids slide has tapes on the outside where the joining places are, as you can see in some photos. It just doesn't look study and in good condition.

The restroom is all in one, for adult, kids and changing babies. It had a strong pee smell when I went in to change for my baby. :((

I can't comment on the food and services. But I will not take my baby to come and play.

The toys are in poor condition. Some of them are broken. They don't look like cleaned by anyone. :(

My mommy friends and I have been coming here every week for the past few months! The food is always spectacular. Love love love their pesto pasta with chicken, kimchi fried rice and Mac and Cheese. The drinks are really refreshing too. The owner uses quality ingredients and the flavor is always just right. My kids love their food.

Best of all the play ground is clean and safe for kids to play when parents just want a peaceful meal. Would definitely recommend to parents valuing good food and fun play for kiddos. We also had my sons birthday party here and had a blast!
