They have really changed things around in here to make room for tables to eat at. The sandwiches are good but the prices have gone up again. The ice cream is great. You can now get rewards points at all the stations now-ice cream sandwich and coffee shops.

Aug 23, 2023Previous reviewWe came for breakfast this morning and I got here early before the rush so it did not take long at all. I got a BLT and two egg and Swiss on sourdough. Great tasting sandwiches.
Aug 7, 2023Previous reviewAnother day getting a lunch sandwich and a blueberry matcha and a couple of milkshakes. The service is always friendly and the environment is positive. Another great lunch for me and the kids.
Aug 4, 2023Previous reviewIt was busy today but that is because it is so good. Today we got the two specials and a coffee and three shakes. This is the best ice cream around.
Jul 26, 2023Previous reviewThis is a one stop shop place. I order sandwiches from the deli, which are big. I ordered the special, the big bad BLT which a picture of the sign is below. I then order great coffee and shop the store for groceries. The ambiance is very positive with playing Christian music.
Jul 17, 2023Previous reviewToday we are getting lunch and this week is a brisket burrito for 15 dollars. This is the first time I have had it. It is pretty big and loaded with brisket and potatoes and a mild sauce. It is very tasty and filling. A very good flavor to it.
Jul 14, 2023Previous reviewWe love coming here still. It takes around 20 minutes to get your food but it is very good. The coffee is a great distraction to buy and drink while you wait.
Jun 9, 2023Previous reviewThe staff is very nice here and the breakfast sandwiches as well as the regular sandwiches for lunch and dinner are very good. You will wait for around 20 minutes for them to be made but they are fresh and worth it. Today I got a BLT and two egg and Swiss on sourdough. Then for coffee I got chocolate covered strawberry frappe and a almond blueberry matcha. They play the positive hits music in here which makes for a good environment while you wait
Jun 3, 2023Previous reviewI came in for a turkey sandwich and a chocolate covered strawberry frappe. It was very busy but they did a excellent at making them.
May 29, 2023Previous reviewHappy Memorial Day everyone. Thanks to everyone who has sacrificed to protect this great USA of ours so I can be here this morning to get breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Not busy yet so just enjoying the atmosphere here listening to great positive music and waiting for my breakfast sandwiches and coffee.
May 27, 2023Previous reviewWe came in for breakfast and a coffee this morning. Always order your sandwiches first because it takes 20 to 30 minutes to get it. Then the coffee is very good. It takes awhile but it is good.
May 13, 2023Previous reviewThe food here is good from the breakfast sandwiches to the deli sandwiches. This is a store so you can shop while you wait because it will usually take 20 minutes to a half hour to get your food. The staff is friendly and the ambiance in the store is great. They play Christian music which I really enjoy. It provides a positive environment to shop and wait in.
May 5, 2023Previous reviewI went in at lunch time and ordered just before it got busy. I ordered 3 turkey panini s and it took around 40 minutes to get it. The panini looks and taste good so I guess it was worth the wait, but they have gone way up on there sandwiches now. A panini cost 11 dollars and a regular cold sandwich starts at 9 dollars. Two months ago both sandwiches were in the 7 dollar range. But again they taste very good so I keep going back and so does everyone else so a great sandwich outweighs a big price.
Mar 13, 2023Previous reviewThe breakfast sandwiches are good here and so are the deli sandwiches but you will wait on the average of at least 20 minutes to get them. While you wait there is a coffee shop to get a drink in and a grocery store to shop so you can accomplish many things at once. The inside of the store is nice and clean but stays very busy.
Feb 24, 2023Previous reviewThe deli sandwiches here are very good. The people are friendly but with it always being so busy it may take 15 to 30 minutes to get your sandwiches. While you wait though, you can buy a coffee or ice cream and shop around the store.
Jan 26, 2023Previous reviewThe coffee here is very good, not to mention that they can get very creative every week with coffee. This coffee taste better than most of the other coffee shops around. The service is friendly and consistent in making quality drinks. The atmosphere is good, you can shop or order sandwiches while you wait.

The Battlefield Countrystore is the bomb! The sandwiches are LOADED with abound of meat it seems. You can make your own or get the weekly special. Our favorite is the Big Messy, which is bbq pork, Mac & cheese and bacon on an onion roll. Their shakes are unique too in a mason jar. Amazingly good along with he fast and friendly service! The store is a casual environment with plenty of take home foods and snacks.

The Battlefield Country Store is such a find in the Fredericksburg area!
This place has been around since '16, there is no need to make the trek to Lancaster, as most of the popular items can be found right here in the country store!
I was super surprised that they carried Zook's pies; they also have eggs and dairy products, breads, desserts, pickled items, meats, and snacks. They have seasonal features and specials, so be on the lookout on their site, as they do great updates.
Besides doing your grocery shopping, you can also order from their deli counter and create-your-own sandwiches or try their featured item; they also have the Battlefield Coffee Company with coffee/espresso/energy drinks and beverages, as well as a walk-up window where you can order milkshakes and ice cream.
I found a spicy beef jerky that I needed to try out!
I also tried their create-your-own sandwich: sourdough with tavern smoked turkey, mayo, spicy mustard, American and Provolone cheeses, lettuce, pickles, black pepper, onions, and jalapeno peppers - this came out stacked and easily shared between two people!
It was great perusing, and you can tell that this place is super popular!
There is ample outdoor seating, both on their patio and in the lot, as well as a few communal tables and chairs inside.
Cashiers are located at the front, and they are friendly and efficient.
Plenty of parking in their large lot.

I always like coming to a good Amish store. They were really busy.
Lots of stuff to look at and buy. I love their popcorn
The line to order sandwiches was long but the wait is worth it. There is a table towards the front of the line where you check mark what you want. They have paninis also.
The other popular spot is the coffee bar. I didn't get coffee but what I saw of it they def give the other popular coffee place a run for their money.
While I was waiting for my sandwich I talked to a local couple and they said the ice cream is worth the stop. Next time for sure I'll have ice cream
They even had a Barbie themed ice cream in a jar.
Seating outside has long benches and umbrellas with picnic tables. Time I got my sandwich, drink, and chips there was a picnic table waiting for me. Today was the perfect day for cooler weather.
I can't wait to come back for ice cream.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Sep 6, 2023Updated review
The Battlefield Country Store
Last week only Philly cheesesteak $14. My husband and I split it. Massive amounts of steak and cheese. So incredibly delicious!
And it was $2 two scoop ice cream Tuesday. I got the pineapple coconut and the banana caramel bourbon. My husband got the peach and cookie dough. So yummy!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Dec 17, 2021Previous reviewMy first time ordering a sandwich from Battlefield Country Store. From start to finish, it was a great experience! A Friday with lunch rush, one week before Christmas. I called around quarter after 12pm. The lady who answered the phone was very nice and professional. I initially tried to order The Riley, that I saw on Instagram. But she said that this weeks sandwich was The Philly, so I ordered that for me and my husband to split.
They said that it would be about a 20 minute wait. Perfect! I was about 20 minutes away. When I arrived, I had a 2 or 3 minute wait. No biggie. The sandwich was $12 and some change, and worth every penny! There was so much flavorful meat, between the warm soft hoagie roll, that I could hardly close it,. The cheese was melted and stretchy, the peppers and onions were sauteed perfectly. I can't remember the last time that I had such a delicious sandwich.
They have won me over! When my adult children and their wives come in for the holidays, I'm taking them all there for sandwiches and ice cream! - 24117801Sep 30, 2023
I love these types of stores that are Amish or Mennonite ran. They have so much to choose from inside and it's all made fresh. They have baked goods, candy, jam, jelly, honey, relish, deli meat, and a coffee company inside the store. In the morning they serve breakfast. They have limited seating and it gets very busy on the weekend. They staff is very friendly and ready to answer all your questions. They also have a great social media pages to keep you up to date on their newest creations of sales and sandwich's. They are only available for a limited time. The name of the store is Battlefield Country Store and they are not open on Sunday.

This place is very interesting as it reminds me of a mini Amish market. They have treats, baked goods, and little quick items that you might've missed on a grocery trip. In addition, they have food, drinks, and dessert to enjoy there. Parking is a breeze, however I can imagine it could get hectic during busy seasons.
I ended up getting their weekly cherry blossom milkshake that came with a slice of cheesecake on top. It was not only beautiful but very tasty. They have weekly special milkshakes that entices you to come give them a visit often. The staff are all very friendly and they have some seating outdoors for you to enjoy your treat there. Since this is a bit away from where I am, I definitely will make an effort to come down this way more often.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - May 10, 2023
We love getting sandwiches at our local Amish and mennonite stores, so when we were visiting Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park and passed by the country store, we had to stop! The store had fresh baked goods, a coffee shop, and a place to get massive ice cream milkshake concoctions. While the ice cream looked delicious, I can only attest for the sandwiches as we did not want to splurge on all the sugar at the moment. See a sandwich was $9 for one meat and then it goes up to 11 and 13 consecutively for additional meats. It did take a little while to order but it was quite busy so we were no rush. You fill out your sandwich on the card and then give it to the counter. They also have paninis and breakfast items as well as other special sandwiches they make. Everything did look good but our sandwich came out and we were delighted to see how full of the sandwich it was.
We got the sweet Lebanon bologna and monster jalapeno cheese. We also got miracle whip and honey mustard, which we actually ended up buying the honey mustard because that is probably the most delicious honey mustard we have ever had. The sandwich was loaded with all the toppings and we were able to share it without being left hungry. We got the combo and got a bag of chips and a drink. It was a really great sandwich and if we're ever in the area we would 100% stop and eat here again. Maybe next time we will try the massive ice cream dishes they make.
The staff was very nice and pleasant and made for a great stop. After visiting the parks. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so if the weather is not cooperating you can eat inside. You'll also probably be tempted by the fresh baked cakes and cookies and all the other goods.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1017886Oct 10, 2023
When my boyfriend's parents kept raving about The Battlefield Country Store, I'll admit I was skeptical. Their praise had set my expectations quite high, but as we approached this charming establishment nestled in the heart of Chancellorsville Battlefield, I couldn't help but be intrigued. It's practically a stone's throw from the historical battleground.
As we pulled into the parking lot, I was immediately struck by how adorable the place is. It's like a high-class Cracker Barrel, with all the southern charm and none of the knick-knacks you don't really need. They even had a window for ice cream orders - talk about the cherry on top!
Once we ventured inside, we were met with rows upon rows of temptation: candies, spices, breads, jellies, and jams in more flavors than you knew existed. It was a foodie's dream. And if that's not enough, there's a sandwich shop and a coffee nook tucked away in the back.
My boyfriend and I thought, "Why not give the sandwiches a try? It's for the sake of Yelp, after all." They handed us a checklist of sandwich options that could make your head spin - choices galore!
I must say, the sandwiches were a delightful surprise. The bread seemed freshly baked, and they were stuffed with so much meat you'd think they were auditioning for a role in a deli. There's so much meat, you might skip the "extra meat" checkbox without hesitation. The prices were reasonable, which is always a bonus.
To sweeten the deal even more, we happened to visit on a Tuesday, which meant 2 scoops of ice cream for a mere 2 bucks at the ice cream shop. Talk about a steal!
Now, for the inside scoop (pun intended): my boyfriend's parents are loyal patrons who hit this place up every single Tuesday, thanks to that ice cream deal. They swear by it and, according to them, The Battlefield Country Store has even expanded their menu to include a new roast beef sandwich that's out-of-this-world good.
So, in conclusion, The Battlefield Country Store isn't just a slice of history; it's a treasure trove of flavors, a sandwich sanctuary, and a delightful spot for some midweek indulgence. I can see why my boyfriend's parents are such fans - it's a little slice of southern heaven that keeps getting better.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 1, 2023
Went there for breakfast. It's not what I pictured a country store. More like a candy store. Lots of choices. But my focus is on breakfast. Menu is simple. Ordering was simple. Greeted with smile and answered questions. Ordered the Waffle Breakfast sandwich. It was great at first. However the sugar crystals kind of took over. The ham was way salty. I was able to get through most of it. Wife ordered the breakfast burrito and it was tasty. It is clean and welcoming inside.
