The Bread and Honey House is a gem; I've eaten at this location and the location in Arcadia and both are amazing! I was returning today after already eating here this week. What brought me in twice in one week you ask? The chicken guacamole club. Ohhh baby, was this a great sandwich. It's grilled marinated chicken on a bed of mixed greens, tomatoes, red onions, Swiss cheese and Applewood bacon on a challah sesame seed bun with guacamole. Cue a respectful moment of silence.
Every part of the sandwich is executed perfectly, and the perfection is amplified when it all comes together on a soft, squishy bun. I love the combo of nutty Swiss cheese and smoky thick bacon. The grilled chicken is tender and flavorful; it's the star of the show despite how tasty the guacamole that adorns it is. You can order this tasty club with a side of fries or side of fruit.
Another great thing on the menu I recommend is Eli's Fish Tacos with Modelo Blanco beer battered seasonal white fish and Honey chipotle coleslaw. The coleslaw is so tasty!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

This small Arcadia restaurant has a small parking lot of an odd shape that might make parking difficult. It's quite clear these lovely people are understaffed. I saw 2 front staff juggling orders, making drinks, and serving food despite a very long line and busy restaurants (plus online orders!). Nevertheless the service was polite and orders were correct. I had an iced latte with my breakfast, their famous chilaquiles. Unfortunately I wasn't terribly impressed. There was a very large portion to be sure but the flavor was a bit one note. I prefer my chilaquiles with more spice and salt. A nice spot for brunch with friends.

(Surprised to see this location is temporarily closed as we stopped by just a few days ago! The workers had mentioned that they were opening a new taco spot so I wonder if that has anything to do with it...)
The Bread and Honey House has been on my radar ever since it came up as the first result for "fish tacos." I will have to make a return trip as I did not get the fish tacos this time.
The Bread and Honey House shares a parking lot with a few other businesses but we had no problem finding parking on a Saturday afternoon around 1PM.
The ambiance is cute and casual. The mural is definitely the centerpiece of decor! Seat yourself, place your order at the counter, receive a number, and your order will be brought to you. The workers were friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in, and even brought menus to our table.
While I thought about ordering the chilaquiles, I couldn't resist the special of the day, steak fajitas ($14)! Our order came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Portions are generous, and definitely a hearty meal if you're part of the CPC (Clean Plate Club)! Our group enjoyed our orders of the Chorizo Omelette ($13) and Sunshine Omelette ($13), no complaints. Potatoes were seasoned well. The steak fajitas were good, but could have done with more seasoning/char. I would love to see carne asada as an option for protein!
Although it is out of the way, I will be back to try the fish tacos!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 1 - Mar 1, 2023
The food here is just ok. Nothing bad, nothing great.
You order first, take a number and then sit down. Not too many tables but one did open up for us to sit down before our food arrived.
Eggs were fine, but potatoes had no flavor/seasoning, and the bacon was overcooked to the point where it crumbled like a cookie.
I saw some other groups had the waffles which looked good. Maybe that's the dish to get.
I know this is probably not the restaurants doing but for brunch time, it was valet parking only. I don't understand the need for this as it's has its own outdoor parking with many spots. At least give me the option to self park.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 16207307Mar 8, 2022
Really good place for breakfast. When you're there, you order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. It was early in the morning but they brought it out fairly quickly. We ordered the avocado toast that comes with an option of potatoes or fruit and we also got the chorizo omelette, both very good.
We did see the owner serving, taking orders and making sure everything was running smoothly which is definitely much appreciated.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Susan C.Phoenix, AZ08Mar 7, 2024

After watching a short clip on the new Bread & Honey House in Arcadia, It's difficult not to admire and support Chef Javi. Learning a little about his history as a chef, his support for our community during COVID, and his vision for The Bread & Honey house- I was all in- and the food didn't disappoint.
I've been to the B&HH on Van Buren before and loved the chillaqulies. My friend visiting from NY was easily convinced to order it-their signature dish, and loved it. I was fortunate enough to sneak a couple bites. I decided ordered the Carnitas omelette topped with avocado. Delicious. Hope to be back again soon.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

Very good fish tacos. I can't wait to come back and try their chilaquiles. Such a small place hidden place but worth the limited parking - but if you're familiar with Arcadia, parking is almost always an issue anyway. Patience is virtue

PROS: delicious food, nice staff
CONS: parking is a bit challenging
I recently strayed from my usual weekend brunch spot and was not disappointed! After finding a spot in their busy parking lot, we walked inside to this unassuming place. We were helped promptly and all of the staff were super nice. We ordered the fish tacos and huevos rancheros and split both of them. Usually I have order envy, but both were totally delicious! The fish tacos had perfectly fried fish with delicious (but pretty wet) slaw. The huevos rancheros were so flavorful. Whatever sauce is on this dish is so insanely addictive! To top things off, I had a delicious iced latte that really started my day off right!
VERDICT: can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
