We went there for Easter Brunch. The menu was very limited and served to the table. It was not a brunch. The ad showed dessert. Our bill was $132 for 2! The mimosas and desserts were not included. The food was fair but not outstanding. I was very disappointed.

This was was by far the most unique place we've been to since living in Sunset Beach (which has been a long time). Between the history, haunted background and the food - I can't WAIT to go back.
We sat in the upper bistro level. Our waitress (Crystal) gave us a quick history of the house (we asked) which was SO intriguing. She was also very knowledgeable on the food options. We started with the Sundried Steak tip bruschetta and it was delicious! I ordered the filet Oscar and my husband had the ribeye. One of the BEST steaks we've ever had (and we eat out a lot). He also had a cup of she-crab and it was loaded with crab. You must make this a stop on your visit to the area (best without kids). I can't say enough amazing things about this establishment!!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Beverly P.Freehold, NJ1435Dec 24, 2023
1) Service. When a waiter is talking to guests at a table and walks away mid-sentence to deal with another waiter's question. Is unprofessional.
2) Food. The bruschetta appetizer was delicious. Unfortunately that's where it ended. We had to wait over an hour for our entrees to come out (there was only one table next to us with guests, there may have been a party upstairs but that is no excuse) and when the entrees disappeared come out, they were lukewarm. My filet Wellington was slightly overdone and probably would have been good if my sauce wasn't congealed because it was sitting in the kitchen. The same for my husband's pork chops. My son's shrimp and scallops dish was good but again lukewarm.
I had high hopes for this place but was sorely disappointed.
We might try it again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Paul L.Conway, SC12301Nov 19, 2023
Let me start my review by saying Jes the server, she was excellent, pleasant and very personable . Ask for her you'll be glad you did.
Ok the food....my wife's Caesar salad was overloaded with mayonnaise you could hardly tastes the Cesar . I ordered the French onion soup, if it wasn't for the cheese the flavor would have been bland. The entrees my wife ordered the Lemoncello risotto which she liked but couldn't taste the lemoncello. I had the filet Wellington, the Duxelles were totally flavorless, the filet was medium rare and tender with no seasoning. Overall it tasted like soggy bread with meat. I have had many Wellingtons and this wasn't a Wellington. The best part of the dinner was the chocolate soufflé it was excellent.
We picked the Brentwood based on all the great reviews, sorry to say we were disappointed beware of great reviewsHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brian B.Pfafftown, NC6132Apr 24, 2024
Waitress was great. I ordered surf and turf. Lobster was a stuffing and terrible. Salty and meat mushy. I couldnt eat it. They told the chef and gave me a piece of cheese cake. Wow, for an upscale place I expected better. The steak was good and wife's meal was great. I am so disappointed

IF you have not dined at The Brentwood, please drive to Little River and experience this little Gem. It is quite unique and the food is interesting as well as delicious. The wine selection is more than adequate.
This place also has live entertainment in the summer which is another pleasant addition. There is nothing comparable this restaurant.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 77186Jan 6, 2024
Went here with friends from the area. Amaaazing food, service and ambiance in a lovely Victorian home. Our party had the Shrimp and Scallops Chardonnay, Coquilles St Jacques Risotto and Ribeye. We had several of the lovely Christmas cocktails and the bread pudding for dessert. 30 minutes from Myrtle Beach makes it a lovely sojourn for a relaxing and romantic dinner.

What a wonderful experience! We had a very friendly, attentive server, upscale, warm atmosphere, and food that was so very good! I had the caprese salad with Fried Green Tomatoes and the mussels - both excellent. My husband had the Pork Ossabucco and loved it - so tender and flavorful. We needed extra bread to soak up the amazing sauces! And the Chocolate Soufflé for dessert - order it early as it takes a while but it is so worth the wait.

Wonderful food - the Early Bird menu was great and kept us in our budget even with dessert! Pork Osso Buco was excellent as was the Salmon and Shortribs.

Visited the Brentwood for the first time this afternoon and it was truly an incredible experience. We sat upstairs at the bar and enjoyed bites from the best happy hour menu I've seen in a long time. From the happy hour menu, we tried the French onion soup, beets and goat cheese salad, crab cakes and and limoncello risotto. They were all delicious paired with the house wines, but I can't say enough good things about the crab cakes and risotto. The crab cakes were light, meaty and flavorful and the limoncello risotto felt like it was melting in my mouth. The bartender recommended the baked clams, which were also delicious. I appreciated that he told us we could order a basket of bread to soak up the juices at the base of the clams. The bartenders were very attentive and fun to talk to as well. Of course, we couldn't leave without ordering the bread pudding-what a treat!! We are beyond happy about finding the Brentwood and can't wait to come back soon. It sounds like they are going to start offering ghost tours of the historic house too, which would be a super fun event to attend. 10/10!

My wife and I dined at The Brentwood last night and as always the experience was what we have come to expect from them, excellence, inviting and a great menu!
We usually go to the Wine Tasting on Fridays which is hosted by Jane. Jane does a phenomenal job each and every event! Last night we elected to have dinner and we were seated in David's section. David is the best!
The food was presented beautifully and the flavor profiles spot on!
If you want a great experience whether it be a fun wine tasting or a great meal visit The Brentwood!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
