I love this place! My dog loves it and I will stay there forever.
I took my dog to 2 other places and they weee so much more expensive and the staff didn't seem as 'family oriented' as this place.

Stephen and Adam have always taken great care of my cavy, Milo. When Milo stayed over for the first time, they made sure that he was taken care of personally. I highly recommend if you have a smaller dog the The Canine Center is the place for your dog.

Horrible! I brought my Pomeranian in and told them specifically what I wanted. I got him back, his tail is shaved, he has red spots all over him I guess from cutting him, and shaved his whole body except for his head! I revived a voicemail from the Canine Center that was very nasty! She threatened to shave him and saying he was matted, which is not true, I brush him on a daily basis! Would not recommend this place will never be returning!

Awful! Our dog is a sheepdoodle, I was clear he needed to be trimmed a lot but leaving half an inch to an inch of hair. Leave his face fluffy and do not trim his tail. I picked him up and he was desperate to leave. He had a tenth of an inch of hair all over him! His whole body shaved! They never called me. He is in our wedding this weekend which I shared. So the pictures will look like some short haired cocker spaniel not our fluffy baby. Then to make matters worse, he got kennel cough! And we have to move his boarding for our wedding. So disappointed!!! Here's a before and after picture.

My Mom dog sat my cocker spaniel and I was able to get her in for a groom during the visit. I had one grooming request, do not take any length off her ears. In fact, I repeated it twice. When I picked her up, guess what? Not only was the haircut choppy, uneven and all around not good, they cut ALL of the length off her ears. Any respectable groomer would know a cocker spaniel's ears are not short!

I do not know how many people go here regularly, or have thought about going regularly, but I would stop if I were you. I understand that some of you may have had good experiences with the handlers at this facility. I did not. On their website, it literally says, verbatim, "Our certified trainers can also help ease your dog's state of mind if your dog has problems being groomed or getting their nails trimmed." With that being said, I took my 4 year old Lab-mix in this morning, for a simple nail trim and Dremel. He was scared to go up on the table, like a lot of dogs are, so that shouldn't have been an issue for them, given their own statement on the website of the company. However, my dog was only given about a minute and a-half to 3 minutes in the grooming room, before being refused. There was very little to no effort to legitimately work with my dog to get his nails trimmed. I highly recommend Julie the Dog Groomer in the Iron Pony plaza for your grooming needs, I went there after being refused and embarrassed by the "Canine Center" and they had me in and out within 5 minutes with a dog that has fully trimmed nails.

The staff here is great. I walk in with my German Shepherd pup and they all greet her by name. She loves this place just as much as I do. All obedience goes out of the window when we pull up, because she loves the place that much. After a day of doggy daycare, she always comes home exhausted. She will sleep or lay around the remainder of the day, and she is a very active dog. It's nice to have a break sometimes.

Anyway, I'd highly recommend it here. Friendly staff that will be great with your pup, and even give her a bath and trim their nails if you'd like.

This is a (relatively) recent business that some of you may not know about as they are a bit off the beaten path and not a place it's likely many of you drive by each and every day. They are located behind the Kroger center off the main strip in northern Westerville. It's easy to find once you go there to the area, it's just not typically on a main road.

Anyways, I had never heard of this place either until we got a coupon from them in the mail when they first opened a few years ago. I called and got a quote for boarding and then went up to meet with them and see the premises. After meeting with them, talking for a bit and seeing the place I felt really comfortable with leaving my dog there as it was apparent to me the people who worked there were really big time dog lovers and my dog, a beagadore (labrador-beagle mix) took instantly to the gentlemen and nice young lady who worked there.

The dogs that free roamed the store seemed to be having the time of their lives and Brutus, my pooch, fit right in immediately. I left knowing that my dog would be playing with other dogs his size under supervision and have a nice, safe blanketed area, rather than a cage, to sleep on when he wanted to get some shut-eye. I was also happy to know that he would be walked a couple of times a day and god knows as a hound he loves to get outside.

Since that initial trip I've taken my dogs to the Canine Center many times. I say dogs because I also have a chihuahua now. Both dogs really have their eyes light up when we pull up to the place and seem awful happy to be there so I know they are being treated well. They used to post pictures of your dog during the day on Facebook but right now their camera broke so they are in the process of getting that replaced but that is also a feature worth mentioning.

Now here's the best feature: the price. It's much more affordable than any other dog kenneling/boarding place I've found in Northern Columbus. Sure you may be able to find a place the same or cheaper but that would be to kennel your dog in a small cage for 24/7 with just their cage being cleaned periodically. To add "day care" and "walks" and etc would require additional money so be aware of the price tack-ons and what other places will do that appear to be a good deal. Here they don't nickel and dime you to death with that nonsense.

But the best reason, as we all know, is the peace of mind knowing your dog, or dogs, are in the hands of someone who will not just give them food and walks but attention and love and that's worth more than anything to have that peace of mind while you are away. Hell, I think when I go on vacation my dogs have more of an enjoyable time than me at the Canine Center!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Would give them 10 stars if I could.

Great staff. They really take care of our dog and in the past we had a very old small dog that the owners once actually took to their house to take care of her during her a extended boarding. That was a kind gesture that we really appreciated.

The canine center is hands down the best place you could take your dog. My dog's breed needs lots of socialization so I try to take him for daycare at least once a week. The staff is incredibly friendly & helpful so I always feel like he's in the best hands possible. I recently moved from Westerville but I still take him to the canine center because there's nowhere I trust as much. Love this place!!!
